That's not trouble....that's great news Mon. I'm SO happy for you. It seems he not only likes you but he likes Disney too, which is an absolute necessity for you. It seems to be going very well.....getting better everyday. I say enjoy it!!!

:goodvibes Deb :goodvibes

I AM enjoying it....so far, so good.

RE: Disney - he's even said that though he doesn't like amusement parks (in general), he would be willing to go to the Disney parks with me, and our 1st date was Winter/Summer Land mini golf next to Blizzard Beach.

He ended up having to take a job in a jewelry store (management track) since the construction biz is so slow.......thing that sucks about that is that he needs to work every Saturday, & at least for the rest of the month doesn't have 2 days off in a row.

Good thing about this, is that they're saying either Orlando or Tampa for his managerial post...gee, that would be terrible, wouldn't it?? :rotfl2::rotfl:  To have him be 1/2 hr from my house (store is near where my office was) or about 1 hr (if in Tampa).....def better than the 3 we have now.

Sorry, I didn't know that he was working on Saturdays....so much for the weekend idea.

I like that he's working in a jewelry store....he'll get a discount. That could be good.

Orlando or Tampa is way better than Jacksonville. Do you know when he will get his post? That's great news.

:thumbsup2 Even though I don't wear much jewelry. Of course, right now he says I need to go up there & buy something so he gets the commission.

No clue other than 4-6 months. I guess it depends on how the training goes. We shall see.

Next we need to know if he likes beaches and cruises. Then he'll fit in like a glove.

Your first date being mini golf is the best. I love mini golf. Keep that date in mind.

Disney parks are better than amusement parks. It's different. It's Mickey and magical. It's so much better. So he might get into that. You will have to explore.

That's a LOT of training. It must be a great job. I know it's management so that's good. I hope he likes it. What did he major in in college?

4-6 months is a long time, but hang in there.....it will go fast.

he DOES like beaches & snorkeling. has never been on a cruise (but is willing)

Both he & I worked at an amusement park in VA - no where near what Disney is/how Disney works, but since then he's not that big on parks. We're talking about doing Food & Wine this year.

Poly Sci major w/ Art History minor

yes & no :lmao:

yes--esp when I think that our 1st date was the last weekend in Feb.
no--esp with schedule (and no 2 days off together) makes it more few & far between for our visits. We'll deal with it...no choice in the matter.

He loves beaches and snorkeling....YAY!!!!!!!

He's willing to try cruising......he'll get addicted like the rest of us.

Casey and Tristan worked at Bush Gardens in Williamsburg VA and Casey said he hated it. So I can understand his hesitation if he worked for an amusement park. Doing the F&W is so different from an amusement park, you might just change his mind.

we worked at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA (just north of Richmond, off 95).

Don't you think it's great that you were both in VA together and now you're both in FL together. Everything happens for a reason.

If he gets to train a lot in Orlando over the next 4-6 months, then you will see a lot of him. It could work out very nicely.

I've never been there, but I'm sure Disney is nothing like it. He will be pleasantly surprised I think.

Can't wait to take him to Epcot. I was telling him last night about the Nemo & Friends ride and Turtle Talk (as well as talking to Crush on the ship & the Finding Nemo show at DAK).

KD has NOTHING on Disney. Knowing what I know now about the rides at KD, I would not ride anything!

This is quite interesting - we met my sophomore year in college (his junior) & saw each other only a few times after that, but feel back into our relationship each time we did see each other. We've always been able to talk & while we BS with each other, there is no BS between us.

I have always had a thing for him:lovestruc

He moved to FL 13 years ago (the day he signed his divorce papers) & I moved back down here 8 years ago (I was heading back to VA/MD when he was moving from VA here). We reconnected 1st on Classmates & then on FB last 1/2 of the year.

WOW....there's so many things you can do with him that will be his first time experiencing them. That is so cool. If he already loves the movies, wait until he goes to WDW or on a cruise. OMG. He's going to flip out. How fun!!

Isn't it funny how you follow each other through life and reconnect at different times. That's so awesome. Me and John know that if we met before he married his ex, it would not have worked out then. We needed the timing to be right. It sounds like you and him are going through the same thing. I think that's pretty cool.

I need to go back and read the last 2 pages, but had to post this first

I find myself in possible trouble.....

My friend from college (guy I've been seeing) had training in Orlando yesterday & today so he stayed with me last night ;) Not only did we have a good time :rolleyes1 :upsidedow  BUT he also likes Disney/Pixar movies! We watched Finding Nemo, then started Lion King 1 1/2 (he fell asleep during this one).

Edited to add.....forgot to say that HE chose the movies, not me lol

Good news! Except for the fact that I might lose my cruising roomie!:rolleyes1
JK, it's good news for real!:goodvibes
