I need to go back and read the last 2 pages, but had to post this first

I find myself in possible trouble.....

My friend from college (guy I've been seeing) had training in Orlando yesterday & today so he stayed with me last night ;) Not only did we have a good time :rolleyes1 :upsidedow  BUT he also likes Disney/Pixar movies! We watched Finding Nemo, then started Lion King 1 1/2 (he fell asleep during this one).

Edited to add.....forgot to say that HE chose the movies, not me lol

Nudge him if he falls asleep during Mary Poppins...

Trouble??? Yeah..........................................:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Monica, if you call that a problem, that's definitely the kind of problem I need in my life, LOL!

I agree :goodvibes of course, now I have a 15 night cruise where I will be out of contact for most of that time :rotfl:

I hear cell phones work in Hawaii... ;)

He ended up having to take a job in a jewelry store (management track) since the construction biz is so slow.......thing that sucks about that is that he needs to work every Saturday, & at least for the rest of the month doesn't have 2 days off in a row.

Good thing about this, is that they're saying either Orlando or Tampa for his managerial post...gee, that would be terrible, wouldn't it?? :rotfl2::rotfl:  To have him be 1/2 hr from my house (store is near where my office was) or about 1 hr (if in Tampa).....def better than the 3 we have now.

Me thinks :littleangel::littleangel: might be working in your favor... :littleangel:

I have to be over there for the champagne girls....off the top of my head, I can't recall any single men posting. But that doesn't mean that they are not on this cruise. I'll keep an eye out for you and let you know.

Thanks! ;)

That would be so great if he ends up nearer to you! Fingers crossed!

:goodvibes Deb :goodvibes

I AM enjoying it....so far, so good.

RE: Disney - he's even said that though he doesn't like amusement parks (in general), he would be willing to go to the Disney parks with me, and our 1st date was Winter/Summer Land mini golf next to Blizzard Beach.

How sweet!

This is quite interesting - we met my sophomore year in college (his junior) & saw each other only a few times after that, but feel back into our relationship each time we did see each other. We've always been able to talk & while we BS with each other, there is no BS between us.

I have always had a thing for him:lovestruc

He moved to FL 13 years ago (the day he signed his divorce papers) & I moved back down here 8 years ago (I was heading back to VA/MD when he was moving from VA here). We reconnected 1st on Classmates & then on FB last 1/2 of the year.

LOVE this! :)

Well, this IS a good kind of trouble! :thumbsup2

We know you can show him the 'kinder/gentler' side of the Disney parks. Between just the music and the food, one can be quite content! I like the idea of Tampa....just so you can have Gulf beach breaks intersperced with WDW adventures together.

.

Holly, I put the word out on the Aloha thread and here are some of the responses that I got......OH, I said you were looking for other singles, not looking for a single male. Here's the responses:

I hope this gives you some info and if you go to the lunches, maybe you can meet a nice guy. One never knows.

Disney man = Prince Charming. If he likes Disney movies he will LOVE the Disney you can introduce him to. :thumbsup2

Holly, Paul Crosby is single and seems nice to me. We sailed with him on the Panama Canal. I think he was married then, but we never met his wife. No kids. Down side....he lives in Oregon so any kind of relationship would be really, really difficult. DIS name PaulCRSB

I met a new friend tonight....from a singles group on FB (orig started on the DIS)....at POR's River's Roost. Lots of fun - highly recommend this show if you haven't been a part of this/seen this yet. Bob is amazing!

Had a couple of drinks & loads of laughs.

Tried to talk to someone (:rotfl:) but he must be already asleep (he left Jacksonville at 530am yesterday & got home after 7pm tonight). probably a good thing, if not I may have gotten in trouble ;) :lmao: :rotfl2:

Both he & I worked at an amusement park in VA - no where near what Disney is/how Disney works, but since then he's not that big on parks. We're talking about doing Food & Wine this year.

First... Disney is NOT an amusement part.. it's a THEME park!!! Take him to Epcot and get him drunk... just don't do mission space after... :lmao:

Thanks Deb! I've always wanted to do one of the singles lunches, but never have been able to because the timing always worked out where Tyler was with me during that time. So this time I get to do them ALL! :dance3:

We've been cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Kitchen: CLEAN! Tyler's room: CLEAN! Living room: CLEAN! (Except one corner of the living room that has a pile of things we were too tired to sort). Bathroom just needs a light cleaning. My bedroom needs major work, but it's showing progress. Yard: MOWED! Fallen tree: CHOPPED and dragged out to the road! Garage is a MAJOR disaster, but that can wait until after vacation.

Next projects, determined to be done before vaca, completely finish my bedroom and then purge my kitchen cupboards. Laundry area/back entrance needs touching up too. Although I have quite a bit more to do in the house, I can honestly say, for the first time in YEARS, that I would finally not be embarrassed if any unplanned guests showed up. I used to have "doorbell anxiety". No more! Hoping to keep it this way! If we pick up a bit every evening and do light cleaning every weekend, we should be able to maintain. :thumbsup2

My mom is coming to town tomorrow after work to stay with Tyler while I go see "Menopause" with my co-worker Jan and a former co-worker (this is the first time in Tyler's WHOLE LIFE I've ever had a "sitter"!!!!) and she's going to be shocked at how great the house looks! :goodvibes What a great feeling!

Holly..

If you come back married or ahem.... MORE... I'm blaming THEM!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yeah.. that's what makes all those party/booze cruises sooo dangerous!!!

Those Mickey Ships.... :sad2::sad2: :rotfl::rotfl:

Awesome work! And great news about Tyler's first sitter experience.

Well, he'll just be with my mom, so he'll be fine, it's just strange for me to have a free night during my "on" week, LOL!
