Just popping in to say hi. Still going through medical tests here so can't book a vacation too far away as yet, not that i feel like going away just yet but it is boring not having anything to plan. I hope all you Hawaiian cruisers are fully planned and in packing mode by now. I don't come on the Dis much these days but try and keep up to date.

It's good to see you here. So sorry that you're still in the process of all the medical procedures. Just hang in there, they will all be finished soon and then you can plan another trip to WDW with a cruise. Maybe I'll be a Davenport resident by then.....I've only got ten more months to go.

I don't know how you found the colours before but when on the reply page you click the capital A just to the right of 'Sizes'.

I hope the move goes well Deb. I'm not sure what we will be doing or when as yet. We can go over to Europe on our reciprocal health agreement but even then I would prefer travel insurance on top to cover what that might not. We will see.

I saw today that the guy who wrote that to me.....is in the Roy suite and from what he was saying, he's a TA coz he mentioned all the people who booked through him.

I'm not changing my mind. His family has no idea what the event is all about and I don't like the way that he talked about DISers.

Besides, I've seen the Roy Suite before.....getting off the ship in the morning, if the family has left and housekeeping is cleaning.....they let you in to look around. I can skip his offer to go see it on a stateroom tour.

This explains the "for obvious reasons" comment...that's Chuck from another travel agency (not Dreams). He & his wife are actually nice people

Having a rough night tonight....not sure why, but feeling quite down. feel like I could start crying at any moment. I hate it when I feel this way. It hasn't happened much since I was put on the new meds, but it's hit me today.

I think I'll be heading to bed soon...maybe sleep will knock this out of my system.

No more green color type for me.....they upgraded and did away with all colors. That just saddens me. I liked the colors. Oh well!

He's a TA....I read his offer to show off the Roy Suite that he's staying in and he mentioned others that booked through him. I think it sounds like he is a bit full of himself.

it does seem rude to ask to join a closed event at the last minute with a group you don't participate with.

It seems to me that the FB group is not really a "closed" group. If you look at the new members, Stephanie has not added all of them. Other people in the group seem to be able to add others also. Not a fan of using FB for DIS groups at all.

John was able to get money out of his pension account. We took half of the amount that we just spent on cars. I already cancelled most things and cut my expenses in half. So now I have some additional money, but less expenses. I feel like I can breathe easily and relax about it. So all is good.

I understand the boredom of not having a trip to plan. When things get overwhelming I switch the brain cells to trip planning. Can you focus on something close by like a weekend at the shore or to one of the islands on the Channel?

I used the little arrow next to the "A" and got a pull down menu of colors....but not anymore. When I click on the arrow, I don't get the pull down menu. So I can only type in black now.

I'm hoping John gets offered an early out. His company's fiscal year ends in June so he should know by July if he's going to get it offered or not. We both hope so.....crossing our fingers and everything else.

Yea, but I didn't know who Chuck was, he didn't introduce himself to me, he just assumed that I would know him by saying that. It was just weird.

OK so him and his wife are very nice. They're still not coming to the CGs tasting. The event is closed.

Nice maybe, but not very thoughtful to ask for special accomodation at 2 weeks before the cruise at an event that has been planned for a year and closed already to those that are actually participating in the group.

And still not clear to me why it is "obvious" that he doesn't participate in the DIS. Other TAs do, they just respect DU and don't try to advertise their business on this board. Just sayin'....what is so obvious that Deb should have known. Has me a little irritated, but I will wait and meet them on the room tour and make my final judgement then.

Thanks Jan. Just at the moment I don't even fancy a trip over to the coast a couple of hours away. I need to build my confidence up for a car journey and also being away from home.

That is so strange about the colours disappearing for you Deb. Maybe it is like the Facebook timeline thing and they are doing it over time to us all and soon none of us will have colours????
