I'm sending check Monday. Cash it by the end of the week, if you can. Our credit union is merging with another and they are changing the account #s on Apr 2 and said they would be sending new checks. I'm sure they will honor checks written on our current accounts, but....just to be sure....

This really is a pain for us. We have 7 automatic deposits and one withdrawal that we will have to change. At least they are giving us until Sept to do this (which is why I am fairly sure they will be able to honor checks written this week!) because I would NOT want to be taking care of this when we are going to be gone and not accessible for 2 weeks. We will be just changing to a new credit union or bank here locally. We kept our Oregon credit union account when we moved just because it is such a hassle to make all these changes. I did tell our credit union that this is "just one more thing I need to take care of, and while it seems like a small thing, I am not sure how many more small things I am going to be able to handle." MY mom had a heart attack on Tuesday - I am solely responsible for her although she lives in an assisted living facility. I have to provide transportation to her ahppts, etc and with it being just 6 months since Dennis had his heart attack and is still in cardiac rehab 3 days a week, it really is a bit overwhelming without adding "one more thing". Listen to me whine!!!

If you have an extra, I'd like one. You can bring it to Doubletree if you want.

So sorry this is all hitting at once. And with other things in your life that may seem little individually, you add these medical issues and transportation needs and the volcano of your emotions is above the surface of the ocean and you need to "vent".

Measure your hand when it is scrunched up so I can see which one to set aside for you. I want the bracelet to slide on over your hand but not fly off. I can set it aside to bring to the ship (not sure if we will go to DL first so we may miss the Minnie Meet, so maybe at the DIS meet before the sail away). But you will have to be sure you fine me!

Thanks Jan....and a really really big hug. I have heard from about half of our Champagne Girls and we have enough for one whole case of champagne. I wanted to get two cases for 95 ladies. So it's working out just fine. Plus my contribution and we're halfway to our second case. I'll not only be able to order enough, but I'll be able to either add more than four or go for one more expensive kind. I have good choices available. So many many thanks for all that you have done towards this.....and to Angie and Cheri too. Thanks ladies.

Deb, I posted on the Hawaii thread that I am going to mail your check, as I'm using that as motivation to make a cruise related greeting card I've had in mind. I'll use PayPal as a fallback in case the 'motivation' doesn't seem to work!

Angie, you can wait until all the dust settles with your account changes if you want to....we have 5 more weeks. I don't order the champagne and pay for it until we get onboard. We have plenty of time.

I SO KNOW what you're dealing with. BIG BIG cyber hugs!!! Real ones when I see you! I did it with my mom for four years and with Ray for another four. When they were both gone I said to myself, I have nothing to do anymore.....meaning for others. I have lots of free time now. It sucks all the life out of you and drains you. AND you're doing it for two people at the same time. That's insanity. YOU NEED THIS VACATION!!!!!!

You need to find a way to destress....dont' go back to smoking, you'll just have to quit again later. Find something to do for you that's relaxing and pampers you. Take the time out and don't feel like you're being selfish. You need to be a little bit right now. AND we are always here for you to vent. Call me if you still have my number and want to chat. I completely understand.

Thanks, Deb. That's funny...I thought about a cigarette the other day and it has been 15 years. Crazy! Never, never though. I will probably have a cigar on the cruise though. As to calling, maybe I am weird and it might not be "healthy", but I don't want to talk about it. Talking makes me cry and changes nothing.

I checked with the credit union this morning and the checks we have and are writing now are good until Sept 30 - so, no worries. Just deposit whenever you do all the others. Check is in the mail!!

try OPEN OFFICE. its free it can read most if not all MS and WP files with no issues. it might even be able to recover the missing files if they are still on the laptop. 1 ? why no backup??????to a CD or external hard drive.....
