I have some free time now and while my laptop is working well, I think I'll post the announcement for prepaying the CG's. First I want to coordinate with both Jan and Angie. I'll see if you're online and available now. Otherwise we can try again tomorrow.

Thanks so much Angie and Jan....we did very well tonight. We took in just over $200 from 14 people. I have 95 people plus my share. We should be able to buy two cases easily and that's what we will need. I have lots more people to hear from. I have time. We have 5 more weeks and I'm already packed.....hahaha!

DIS FABRIC SCRAP BRACELET

I am down to scraps.
I made a strip that was 44-45 inches long and 3/4 inch wide by seaming together little pieces
I used a J crochet hook
I chained 26 stitches
I made a slip stitch in the first chain and fastened it off

Well after many hours in Staples and some follow up at Olive Garden.....Jan, I thought of Tom because I had Chicken Parm.....after many hours I finally have my laptop back at home for good. They fixed what needed to be fixed and even credited me the $100 over charge, BUT now I can't access any of my Word Perfect files. I can open the program and create and save a new file, but that's all. All my old saved files are gone. Next time I think I'll try going to Best Buy.

John is going to try re-installing Word Perfect and we'll see what happens. If I lose them, then that's it. I start new files.

WP is not prehistoric....it's better than MS Word ANY DAY!!! I work with both.

Deb, I posted on the Hawaii thread that I am going to mail your check, as I'm using that as motivation to make a cruise related greeting card I've had in mind. I'll use PayPal as a fallback in case the 'motivation' doesn't seem to work!

I'm sending check Monday. Cash it by the end of the week, if you can. Our credit union is merging with another and they are changing the account #s on Apr 2 and said they would be sending new checks. I'm sure they will honor checks written on our current accounts, but....just to be sure....

This really is a pain for us. We have 7 automatic deposits and one withdrawal that we will have to change. At least they are giving us until Sept to do this (which is why I am fairly sure they will be able to honor checks written this week!) because I would NOT want to be taking care of this when we are going to be gone and not accessible for 2 weeks. We will be just changing to a new credit union or bank here locally. We kept our Oregon credit union account when we moved just because it is such a hassle to make all these changes. I did tell our credit union that this is "just one more thing I need to take care of, and while it seems like a small thing, I am not sure how many more small things I am going to be able to handle." MY mom had a heart attack on Tuesday - I am solely responsible for her although she lives in an assisted living facility. I have to provide transportation to her ahppts, etc and with it being just 6 months since Dennis had his heart attack and is still in cardiac rehab 3 days a week, it really is a bit overwhelming without adding "one more thing". Listen to me whine!!!
