I had no idea it was Columbus Day until I asked our receptionist at work today where my mail was.

Wow, that's a crummy deal regarding the shopping discount. I guess it's good for people like me who don't spend $100 shopping onboard and wouldn't get the previous $25 OBC anyway, but it's still crummy.
That's very foolish because people spend more to reach that $100....I know I do. And the 10% only gets you $10 off on a $100 purchase. I won't be looking to increase my buying anymore. I think it's a dumb move.
Frustrated. Lost 20 pounds following Weight Watchers, then stopped losing. Have been strictly staying within my points, but the scale has been stuck for 3 weeks. I guess it's time to add some exercise to the mix. My days are so long, and I'm just so worn out the end of every day, I dread trying to make time to exercise, but I know plenty of others who are even busier and they make it happen, so I just have to quit whining and do it. I haven't lost enough weight to fit into a smaller size clothes, but enough where my current clothes are loose, and I'm tired of pulling my pants up every 5 minutes, so I need to get working!![]()
Holly, have you been using any of you weekly points...or all of them? If you've been staying exactly on your base points, use some of those weekly ones every couple of days, so that your body is getting different amounts of food instead of the same amount every day. If you are using them all, then modify that amount. Remember...walking is exercise, try an after dinner stroll with Tyler (pretend you are casing the neighborhood or make some kind of game of it).
.
The same thing happened to me when I was on WW. I had hit a plateau in the end. I was eating strictly according to the plan and I was varying my points, but not doing any exercises so I ended up not losing any weight. It was very frustrating to be working so hard on food intake and not see any results. I think that's why I ended up going off the plan. I felt defeated. But walking is a good idea. Just like Jackie said.
The boys may be travelling with us to Florida when we go. A close friend of theirs is turning 18 and having a party. Plus it's halloween. So they would drive down with us on Friday night and get there Sat afternoon. Tom could drive with John switching off. We're not renting a car. We're taking Merlot....my car. This is a no frills vaca. They would stay over the weekend in Rockledge where Sandi and Joe live and then fly back using their own money. So that's fine with me. As long as I don't have to pay for them to go play with their friends. It would be a long weekend for them. That would mean that I would get there on Saturday instead of Monday. WOOHOO two more days for me! We have to see if they go or not. It depends on Tom's job because they would stay for halloween on Monday and fly back on Tuesday so he would need those two days off. But he works on Saturdays so he may be able to make up the time. We'll have to see.
So.....what are your dates now???
Had a nice conversation with Cheri last night, getting our dining plans together
She'll be here in just about 3 weeks!!
If Tom can switch his days off, then I will be arriving on Sat 10/29. We're staying until Fri 11/4 at Staybridge Suites. Then for the last night on Sat 11/5 we're staying at the port. We can all share one room for one night. I got us a room at Country Inn and Suites. After we drop off Casey and Brittany at the port on Sun 11/6, we will head for home and do an overnight along the way. It's going to be a restful vaca. We'll do the F&W and not much else. We'll see Uncle Teddy and cuzzie Doug on Sat day before meeting at the port for Sat dinner. I told them I'm coming for breakfast and lunch and then I've got to leave coz I have plans for dinner. Did we ever firm up where we are meeting for dinner at the port?
I'll be there in about two weeks. I hope to see Cheri too before she gets onboard. Where are you two staying at the port the night before?
I know that Cheri, Peg & Jackie are meeting up this weekend...I'm sure dinner plans will be discussed![]()
I'm sure you'll be seeing her before boarding....if at no other time, the night before.
We're staying at the Country Inn & Suites (as well as Ian & Sukie, and Paula (new playmate)).
