Another day...

Some more flooding....

Hoping things stay quiet for a few days...

Sad to see my town under water... :sad2::sad2:

Hello Everyone

I hope everyone is well after I saw the news of Irene...

Over the pond to US I hope you all are keeping well...xxx

Keep your fingers crossed everyone....Tom had a good interview today so let's spread the pixie dust around and hope that he gets called for the job. It's a position as an Aseptic Technician who sterilizes the labs so that they can make vaccines. I'm sure it's a glorified janitor, but it's a good paying job. They have second and third shift positions available. He prefers 3rd. It starts at $10/hr. not minimum wage and it's a full time permanent position. YEAH!!!! It's a good job. It's up in the heart of the poconos on Rte. 611 in Swiftwater. It's about 45 minutes North and West of me. Let's hope he gets it.

I am exhausted! It's from packing out Uncle Teddy last Saterday. It was hot and hard for me to stand up for long. I kept having to sit and work and sit and work. We got there at around 8am and left at 6pm. The air conditioner was turned off and it was very humid. He was only half way packed when we got there. So we had to finish packing of all his things and then load the truck. I thought that the young boys would be loading the truck and I would be supervising from a chair. NOT. I worked at packing all day and sweated the whole time.

I'm sleeping a lot this week. I have no energy to do anything. I feel like a wet noodle.

Besides that, I don't even know if they made it to Florida yet. I have called and sent texts and no response. So now I just texted my cousin that lives there already to see if they arrived yet. They left Saterday night. I know they had to go slow because they were driving a 24 foot truck while towing a car. But still.....shouldn't they be there already? It only takes me and John two days. We leave today and stay overnight along the way and get there tomorrow. They must be doing a lot of overnights along the way. I need to know that they arrived safely.

Shell, how's Scotia? Is it starting to dry up? I hope things return to normal soon.

Holly, Did you get to celebrate your birthday at all yet? Remember Jan says it's your birth season....so plan some special things to do for your birthday with Tyler and have some fun!!!

Hi Ann and Albert.....it won't be long now since it's September. We will be sitting together in Ohana enjoying all that delicious food. Are you also booked on the April Hawaiian cruise? Me and John are.

Hi V....awesome pictures of your great adventures in Alaska. To see the wild animals that close up in their natural habitat is just incredible. What an experience. Thanks so much for sharing.

Hi Deborah....what have you been up to lately. You are hardly on here anymore. We miss you!!!

I think Marilyn and Shannon and Ken have abandoned us completely. It's sad, I miss them.

We're booked on the Eastern Canada out of NYC on Sept 7, 2012 and guess who else just booked it? NANA and PAUL without the kiddles. YEAHHHHHHHHHH it's going to be a couples only romantic cruise. I'm really looking forward to it. Nana says we keep going under bridges together....the Americas, the Golden Gate and now the Verrazano. How special!!

Where is Ian and Sukie too? They abandoned us a long time ago. I miss Ian very much. FB is just not the same as the DIS.

Ok Deb... it's your turn (when you are up to it...) to prod everyone back... I'm afraid they have stopped listening to me...

Scotia is slowly getting back to normal... Jacks is still cleaning up - but they have promised to be back next spring when they open for the season... last thursday in March!!!

Been a bit of a week here... It really bothered me that Scotia went under... and I've decided that it was because I've never lived in a place where it has been affected so much..

Hi Deb,
All ready, apart from packing, transport to London Gatwick, boarding 4 legs' etc. and trying to grab a flight upgrade!

When we arrive at MCO and pick up the car rental, usually early evening and heading towards WDW as the sun sets, its like returning to a parallel universe.

See you soon

Oh yes and we are still on the April Hawaiian cruise! Haven't worked out what we do in Cal before the cruise.

Albert.. when do you an Ann arrive and how long are you staying?
