Sounds nice!

Are you thinking of doing one out of NYC?

I know John said only one a year for us now, but he said that one out of NYC doesn't count because we don't have to travel to get there and back. We save lots of money. And he should have enough time off of work because we're only doing two weeks in Hawaii, not taking three weeks off for before and after cruise. Besides, the onboard date is Thurs or Fri so part of the five days will be over the weekend....less days needed to take off. So John okayed this cruise after the Hawaiian during the same year.

Now if only he would say yes to the Fantasy in Dec of 2012. Lots of Thieves are on that one and I would love to do a Christmas cruise.....but three cruises in one year and I'm heading for divorce court again. hahaha.

Picked Tyler up and he asked if we could go skating at the Y after supper. Unfortunately, they had hockey going on, so we went swimming instead. We still had fun though, and stopped for ice cream on the way home. I'd only used 6 of my weekly bonus points (plus still had 11 daily points left), so I'm sure my small cone is covered, even without trying to calculate it. :thumbsup2

We had fun, but now he can't fall asleep because I let him stay up past his "tired point". I hate that. Now he'll be awake and aggressively fighting sleep until at least 11 and super crabby and hard to wake up in the morning because I let him stay up an hour late. :headache: Oh well, nothing I can do about it now except keep reminding myself I'm the one who kept him up.

Funny story from the Y: After swimming, I always take my swimsuit off in a bathroom stall, wrap myself in a towel while letting my swimsuit spin in the water extractor, then walk with towel wrapped around me to my locker, grab my clothes and go back to a bathroom stall to get dressed. Weird, but that's just me. Anyway, as I'm walking wrapped in my towel, a group of little girls (maybe around age 8-ish) starts yelling "Eeeeew, there's a naked lady walking around in here! Yuck! Gross! Naked lady, eeeeeew!" :rotfl2: Well.........first of all, I wasn't naked, I was wrapped in my towel so nothing was exposed, and second, it's a LOCKER ROOM, where most people are changing in and out of swimsuits, which requires you to be naked at some point, LOL!!!!!! Silly girls! :rotfl:

There she goes again..........

Finally a break from the 90s and 100s, the temp says 77, so I decided to mow my long neglected yard (it's just been too hot to mow). Despite the temp reading, it definitely feels like 90 or higher out there because after 5 minutes, I was soaked with sweat and could hardly breath, so I only mowed the front yard. At the rate the grass is growing with this heat and no rain, the back yard can certainly wait another week because it grows slower (it's mostly shade). When the sun goes down, I'm going to try to get out there and weed. :thumbsup2 In the meantime, I have to clean the cat litter box and the guinea pig cage. I hate to say it, but I won't be sad when those guinea pigs are gone. We've had them 3 years, they can live 5-7 years. That's a lot of guinea pig poop. :rotfl2: I'd like to give them away (I've heard they adapt easily to new owners) but Tyler would be too sad. I'd like to have back the whole corner of the living room their cage takes. ;)

Front is better than nothing :goodvibes Betcha my back yard was worse than yours is :lmao:

I can't believe you've had the guinea pigs 3 years already...wow. time flies

Hi Shell. Is the nasacort helping at all? It's working for me and I hope it's working for you too.

Nothing new and exciting going on this weekend. Tom is cooking home cooked meals for us. John said he could get used to being spoiled. We wake up and the coffee is made in the morning. Nice. He really has turned his attitude around 360 degrees from the first time that he was here. He was still a teen then going to high school. He just turned 20 this past April and it seems he has grown up a lot. He's good company to have around.

Thank goodness he's changed. Glad to see someone taking care of the 2 of you, after all the care you guys give to others.

hello all!!

I had a decent weekend....wish (as usual) that it was longer.

Saturday....went to the library (return some books & pick up others), then went to Pointe Orlando to meet Will & Mickey. I was early...found the Ben & Jerry's (didn't know they were there) & went in to sit in the a/c.

I bought myself 1 scoop (a large, but still just a scoop & not a sundae or anything else) of Chocolate Therapy ice cream. OMG!! That was amazing! Chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookies and swirls of chocolate pudding. So I sat there, enjoying my ice cream, reading a book & 1/2 listening to the movie they were showing (the original Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory). 1 of my all time favourite movies.

Will, Mickey & I then went and saw the Harry Potter movie on the 3D Imax. Great movie. Dinner was then in an italian restaurant.

Yesterday I was supposed to do a tour of the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas, but that was cancelled at the last minute. Apparently there was some sort of medical emergency that put the crew behind 3 hrs. I honestly didn't mind it being cancelled. I ended up doing bunches of :laundy:. I have 1 load still in the dryer & 1 in the washer and then that's it. All that needs to be washed is washed (in the entire house). I spent more time reading, talked to my parents & took a nap (ahhhh).

Not really in the mood to work today.

I got a card this weekend from Kathe....she sent me some pictures that she took during the Alaska cruise (me & a giant king crab leg, me & Marlene) plus a few of the Olympic torch in Vancouver lit up with fire.

THANKS KATHE!!!!!

I'll try to scan them later.

Ok... Monica has me looking through the Ben & Jerry's site now!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

As I've told her... I'll have to wait until I get to TX and drag Brian out for ice cream... :thumbsup2

Thoughts moving around in my head as to what to do with the "new" guest room & therefore the living room.

I have a cafe set (tall glass & metal table & chairs) that is in the living room right now, that I'm planning on moving into the guest room. This will give me more room in the living room.

Must clear up space in the guest room 1st tho...maybe I'll do a bit tonight after work.

Monica, yeah, you're the prize winner for back yards! Amazing what a job you did, it looks wonderful!

And yes, I have a hard time believing we've had the piggies that long too!

Chocolate Therapy sounds awesome! They show movies at the ice cream place? Crazy! Tyler actually asked if we could stop for ice cream on the way home from swimming last night I figured we could have a treat after all our swimming. It was sooooo yummy, but nowhere near as good as Ben & Jerrys!

So tired, but can't go to bed until I finish watching Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition because the woman losing weight is supposedly going to try to to the Disneyland Half Marathon, so says Run Disney on FaceBook. :thumbsup2 And I love the show anyway. It's so motivating! Same with Biggest Loser.

An hour in the pool with Tyler last night, doing as many laps as possible (mixed in with lots of playing catch and my "piranhas" chasing him, and me just holding the side and kicking while watching him do the water slide, resulted in me being so sore today! My lower back, hamstrings, and calves. Surprisingly, my knees allowed me to get lots of exercise! They did hurt, but not enough to make me stop. They always hurt, so you just learn to adjust to it and deal with it somewhat. And tomorrow Tyler wants us to skate at the Y after work. I think he's trying to kill me. :rotfl2:

aaaawwwwwww.....gonna make me cry, that's so sweet!

Thanks for your very kind words. Really, I never thought of it that way....us taking care of others. It's just the way it's supposed to be with family. We do what we need to do and that's all.

But it is real nice to get it reciprocated back. I feel very spoiled.

And you are so so sweet to say that we deserve spoiling. Hugs to you!!

What a busy and productive weekend. Glad it worked out so well for you.

I saw HP at the drive in, I can't even imagine him in 3D Imax. Wow what an experience! It must have been awesome.
