I hope she still wants to keep up a relationship w/ me....we'll have to wait & see.

Well, keep an open mind. It is possible to stay friends with someone even though they are unofficially family. We kept my Aunt Winnie and Uncle Frank. We always kid that we got custody of them in the divorce!!! :rotfl:

We don't let people go in our family either! When in-law type folks are divorced or widowed and remarry...we just add in their new spouces too!

I've been living in Netflix land, watching season 3 of True Blood (7 episodes in now). Also watched online the Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby...a filmed version of the Broadway show...enjoyed that very much. Also had some great 'free Friday' books for my Nook for the last couple of weeks....that's why you haven't been seeing very much of me lately!

.

Last Friday's book was 'County Line' a mystery that is part of a series with a continuing main character. I will be enclined to take a look at his earlier books, which I guess is part of the point of the free books. Another from a few weeks ago I immediately got back on line and bought the second book by that author, I enjoyed it so much.

I'll post authors and titles next time I have the Nook in here with me...if I get out of my chair right now I'm afraid there will be a visit to the kitchen, which I am trying to avoid! :lmao:

It is HOT HOT HOT today!!!!

The heatwave has finally hit the east coast. They are telling everyone to stay indoors and drink lots of water... Of course this is the day the QM decided to go to the Saratoga County Fair!!!!

http://saratogacountyfair.org/

We missed the demolition derby last night  But there is a tractor pull tonight!!!

I just want to go see my annual pig race.. Tyrone the Terrible is racing tonight... :rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's gonna be the coolest of the days this week. should be up to 97 with a heat index of 105 tomorrow.

96 degrees in Indy--heat index 112

I liked it better when they did not tell us the "heat index."

As I went to clients' homes today I did not feel as hot before I heard the heat index as I did after.

It is quite possible that knowing the "heat index" prompts people to drink more water, pace themselves and seek air conditioning, but psychollogically it makes the day seem hotter.

How is everyone doing ?

Anybody else excited about Bobby Banana going to Alaska? I'm looking forward to pictures of his adventures! :goodvibes

John and I spent the day at the doctor's. We took blood tests recently and they called us both in for appointments. It's nothing serious....one of John's meds was recalled and my cholesterol is high. After all was said and done, John is going for an ultrasound on his neck to check his arteries. It's been 11 years since he had a heart attack and received two stents. His sugar cholesterol is high and he is pre-diabetic. He got new meds and has to follow up with another blood test in three months. I got the opposite cholesterol reading. I got new meds too with a follow up blood test in three months. I also got a mole cut off my thigh....OUCH!!!!! I'm a big baby when it comes to anything medical. My sed rate (shows the amount of inflamation) is very high at 60 something. 20 is a normal high. I have been as high as 80 something so I guess that's progress. They explained that it's my Mixed Connective Tissue Disease that adds to the inflamation. The inflamation adds to the pain along with the fibro. It's good to understand what is going on in my body. My lungs are good and clean....YEAH!!!! I had an EKG and my heart is good. I just have to work on the weight. I'll be doing water areobics next week. I'm going to hit the pool on Friday again and do my walking and leg exercises.

Then we got home and put another air conditioner unit in another window. We don't have central air. We now have a total of four air conditioners in the house. Usually we just need three. Now we need all four. My poor hairy dog is panting and I'm so scared she is going to have a heat stroke. I keep her watered, wet and iced. She's still panting hard. I have a cooling mat down on the floor for her in front of one of the air conditioners, but she won't sleep on it. She wants to be next to Tom.....hahaha. John is chopped liver since Tom moved in. Girls are so fickle.

I just saw on E News that the NY housewives were on Long Island in the Hamptons. One of them was saying what her favorite place to go for seafood and drinks are.....because they made the best specialty drink. It was a BBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
She said it was a Bailey's, banana and cream. Not sure if it's the same coz it's not a colada. It it worth taking a drive out there the next time I'm on Long Island and having one to compare. I love the East End anyway. It's beautiful out there....the best beaches in the world....I think. I just hate it in the summer coz all the Cityidiots are out there. The NYC people who come out for the weekends in the summer. The locals are much nicer.

I lived on Shelter Island and John lived in Watermill when we met. Then we got married in and lived in Sag Harbor before moving to Northern NJ then onto PA. Next is Florida.

I'm so VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY upset with DCL right now. I was booked in 5122 on the Canadian cruise out of NY in Sept '12.

I just checked and now they have me down as a GTY. WHAT????????? How could they do that? Now there are no Cat 5's left. I better get my room back or I'm going straight to Mickey to complain. Hopefully my very trustworthy TA can work it out for me.

I can't believe they did that.

We had another trainer from Monday to Wed this week and phew I was tired *** training all day then I went to work at evening for two nights...

Now tranier Alex was very good and help us to control her behaviour... as her behaviour that she is fond of another dog.. At park, she can run off and chase another dog!! Alex teached us what to do with her when she run off... Finally, she came back and lying down...:headache: Also before that she saw man played flyer with little boy... Yes she run off and took flyer back to us:rolleyes1:headache: I thought it was funny but her behaviour at park is terrible...

Other way, when Peggy had working coat on she was so good.. walking prefect and calm... when without it I think Peggy must think YES....then exciting...

So we control her she seem much better now... we were working on sound with Peggy and she was so good ... She let us know doorbell, alarm clock and cooking clock... She was so happy girl...

Ian texted me now and said Peggy is good at his work... (I know *** she have to wear working coat)...
