I know it's not private.. but I do think we did become friends here and it's sort of personal..

I'll be making an early night of it tonight. Work tomorrow and my trainer is coming to my store and hopefully will help me get my new office set up. Not sure what the next few months will be like, I will be going through a big change in my role at work. I am kind of excited about it though.

It's time for me to light up the BBQ and cook dinner, so I'll have to sign off for now. I'm hoping I have time to start to get caught up here during the week though.

They finally let me out of my contract with them. I have been on disability for 9 years. I wrote to them and told them this info. They denied me last year. This year they wrote to me and said that the remainder of my loan has been cancelled. HOORAY!!!

The kid is still paying his every month.

John never had one since the Navy paid for him to go to school.

Deb, that's great that yours was cancelled! Woohoo!!!! :woohoo:

We'll be there:thumbsup2

I don't think I every saw Holly in a coat let alone a sweater the whole trip!

We didn't bring coats because it wasn't cold enough for us. I'd been checking the weather reports before hand and found the temps to be warmer than MI at the time, and it wasn't cold enough in MI for coats then either. :thumbsup2

Good luck on the training!!! :thumbsup2

Hi Michelle :yay: Hi all :wave2:

I have finally finished my training for work! What a long and stressful 2 weeks! I had to write a test on Friday, and it was just like when I was in school only worse, seeing as I haven't had much practice writing tests for a long time! I always get so stressed out...I wasn't sleeping and felt so sick the morning of the test...all from nerves  I did get 98.5% though :thumbsup2 I'm actually happy to be heading back to work tomorrow. It was so good to get back home and back to my own bed again! Sleeping in a hotel is not nearly as fun when you are training as it is on a vacation!

It wasn't all bad though. There were 5 other women from different parts of Southwestern Ontario who were also taking the training course and staying at the hotel. I hadn't met any of them before, but they were all very nice and a lot of fun...too bad we had to spoil the fun with classes every day  We did all go out to dinner together every night and took turns picking a new restaurant. We also sat out at the patio every night after class for a drink and conversation. A few of us also met at the pool a couple of evenings for a swim.

It is very hot here and hasn't rained in a couple of weeks. It was around 32 today, but with the humidity felt much hotter. It is supposed to stay hot all week. We are under a heat advisory. I know I'm not the only one having heat issues  I would still rather have this weather than winter and snow any day (I know, I know, Holly would rather have snow ;))

Yesterday I cleaned out my fridge and washed floors. Today I got up very early and pulled weeds and washed outside windows and by 9:00 was exhausted! I still managed to go grocery shopping and to the mall. I had to shop for Brian's birthday, which is next weekend. I have to work Sunday but will be having everyone over after work for his birthday.

Well, enough about me ;) Hope everyone is keeping well. I miss you guys :grouphug:

Hi Kathe!!! Good to see you on here!

Glad you're done with training, what a lot of work!

I hear you on the heat. I hate it and yes, I'd definitely rather have snow! :thumbsup2

Exhausted. I need to mow, but it's way too hot. And I'm too tired to stay up long enough to wait until the sun goes down.

Super stuffed because my dad and stepmom came to town and took us out for lunch. I saved all my points for the day (just ate fruit for breakfast) and more than half of my weekly points, so I'm fine points-wise, just too full to eat after that and doubt I'll even feel like eating the rest of the day. That's probably why I'm so sleepy!

Tyler and I cleaned a tiny bit, and I cleaned the bathroom earlier. Need to do dishes, but that can wait. I'm hoping this week to do a little cleaning every day to stay on track. :thumbsup2

Ohhhhh I love you Deb!!! :worship::worship::worship: My nose loves you even more!!! :rotfl:

;)

I like twizzlers when I'm at the movies. And sometimes some popcorn. They charge you if you bring in food to our drive in, but I always sneak some snacks in anyway. Some families bring in whole meals and set up camp. But you get two movies at ours so it's a good deal. I may just go and see it there after all. I don't need to be in a nice air conditioned movie theater with good sound, now do I??? :rotfl:

When the kids were little, we used to go with a cooler filled with wine and crackers and cheese and ham and salami. YUM! We always get a double feature too. Lately, we don't stay for the second one because you get home way too late. It's a great bargain though. You should go to one again. It's fun.

I'd LOVE to cruise out of NY. But Deb... you know cruising out of there IS sentimental for us... we love our NY harbor!!!!

I just want to go UNDER THE VERRAZANO bridge on the Magic. How AWESOME that will be to me. Tom wants to come now too. I'm booking him this week.

Mine are still in limbo... I should try and write them again.

Definitely.....keep it going and you'll get them cancelled.

I probably wouldn't have been in a sweater either. I would have dragged it along with me because the QM would have been convinced that if I didn't at least bring it with me... I'd die of pneumonia... :rolleyes1

hahahaha.

I'm waiting for my brother to get here. Kenney has decided to come up and work on the house. I hate when he does this but it's mom's house and she doesn't mind... I try to stay out of the way. I'm sure he will lecture me about the garage again (my only real storage since I don't have a basement) and such... but I'll just cough in his face and tell him I'm going back to bed... :rolleyes1

Took a nap earlier... woke up feeling crappier than before... usually the Cipro kicks in and I feel sicker for a little bit and then it breaks and I suddenly feel better. I'm hoping this is so.

It does that to me too....the first few days on antibiotics kick me into never neverland. When it really starts working, then I feel better.

Hi everyone!!!

Did lots of work around the house today with the brother...

Very hot and humid... gonna get worse as the week goes on.

Oh why did my neighbor take down her pool?????

Same here on the heat. 100+ with the heat index. We lost power at work today, so we all left work at 2:30, and I went up to the Y to sign Tyler up for next week's child care, saw him briefly, and his shirt and hair looked like he jumped into the pool with clothes on, he told me they'd just gotten done playing a game outside. Way too hot!!! Supposed to be like this and worse all week. Disgusting. And I still have to mow. ;)

Just relaxing after dinner. Mom and I are pooped. Can't keep up with my brother. He already has a list for the next time he's coming to visit... My other brother would bring a 6 of beer and call it a day... when he visits...

I did get lunch and fill his truck up with gas. :thumbsup2

Tom and I spent the day cleaning out the "box" room. It's actually Ella's room and she is having a fit. She would sleep on top of the highest box in the room. Now the pile is getting smaller and she's weirding out. hahaha. Ella had two rooms in the house. We already disassembled her first room and now we're doing her second room. She's not a happy kitty.

After cleaning up the boxes.....I made some summer salads....romaine green salad and macaroni salad....and grilled some burgers and dinner was served when John walked in the door. NOW I'm exhausted. I've got to rest tomorrow.

I'll go to the post office and mail off the nasacort tomorrow shell. John says be careful. The post office will ask me what it is and I can't say the truth because it's really illegal.....it's a scripted drug and it's a liquid. I'll have to say that it's nail polish or something. I know it will help you Michelle so I really want to send it. I'll try it tomorrow and see what happens.

Tom is sleeping overnight at a friend's house. It's weird how you get used to him being here so quickly. The house is quiet tonight. Angel is back upstairs sleeping with daddy again. Angel stays downstairs with Tom when he's here. Tom is Angel's buddy.....she loves him. He was here every single day when she was a puppy. He would clean up her messes during training....but she played with him every day. She loves that he's back.

Deb... I understand if you don't want to send it.

I always tell the PO that I'm sending cookies to the kids at college when they ask all those questions... Luckily... it usually IS cookies going to college... :rotfl2:

Congrats on the cleaning. If my garage had A/C it would be cleaned by now.
