Oh, I'm so relieved you know have a car! I was really worring about you (kept having all those strange dreams).

Enjoy the rest of you visit with your Dad!

Holly, the first time I went to camp (age 8) it was for a week and the parents were allowed to visit for an afternoon mid-week. I'd been having a good time, but the night before the visit I decided I just might go home with them. Then when they got there I was so excited to show them all the stuff (AND demonstrate that I had learned to swim in deep water AND hit the bullseye with a bow and arrow) that I gladly just waved them away and said "see ya later". :)

Wow Jackie, the thought never crossed my mind that he might want to leave, LOL! :rotfl2: I doubt he'd even think of it either, since its his 3rd time, and he loves it there, it's just the first time doing 2 weeks, and he was worried about missing me. That's a long time for a just turned 9 year old, so I'm happy to drive up and spend the afternoon with him. :thumbsup2 They definitely do keep the kids busy with lots of fun, like your experience. :goodvibes

I'm taking the day off tomorrow since I have a Dr appointment in the afternoon that would have made me lose a 1/2 day at work anyway. So I'll jump up and go do the grocery shopping before it gets hot. We're definately in the 100's now for the next four months! :scared1:

As soon as I know if/when my brother might be visiting I'll be taking a look at my remaining vacation days. I think a 'staycation' at home is a good idea, I need to get some stuff done around here and I'm just not getting much done on the weekend, especially as I need a whole day on the weekend just to recover from work!

 for everyone!

.
Temps in the 100s, YIKES!!!!!

Hi!!

Dad's taking the car to Seminole today.....it's funny, he's driven the car more than I have :lmao: The car spent it's first night in the garage last night. I need to do a little more rearranging to have more space around the car.

We had a good night "in" last night. We watched "Three Caballeros" while transferring it from VHS to DVD. I cooked some veggie pasta (which turned out to be really good) & drank some wine (yummy).

We've probably had the best visit in a looooooooong time.....kind of sad, but yet kind of happy that he's off tomorrow to my sister's.

How is everyone else doing??

Make sure you tell your insurance company that you're not using the car for commuting.

Good evening all

Monica great news on the new car :thumbsup2:

Holly do they post pictures of the kids at camp during the session? The first time mine went I was relieved to see them every evening on the websites photos.

Had a nice day today - coffee meeting with 10 other Mom's from Molly's new high school - hosted by her principal and voluteer parent leader. It was nice to make contact - we are all excited about this new adventure in her life. It is a small class - 120 students in her grade. Very tailored school curriculum.

The kids and I are planning birthday week for Molly in dland - Paul will drive us down spend the weekend - then fly home for work week - then back down for the drive home - I hate that long drive :-( and it's only 5.5 hours for us

Willie then heads to his first boy scout camp experience - 8 days !!! Hope he likes it. He loves his patrol - they are all a year or so older than him which is good for him.

Willie also made the all-stars this year in baseball - he has practice every night first game next monday - fingers crossed

Guess I've babbled enough for tonight - thinking about all of my thieve friends

Ian - great thought on the insurance.....I would not have thought of that myself. Can you remind me in 2 weeks? :lmao:

Nan - good to see you!

Dropped Dad off at the airport this morning....kind of :sad1: I must admit, tho, that it'll be nice to have the place to myself again. :upsidedow

I will be taking my car in Saturday to my mechanic to see if he can check things out & make sure everything is ok.

Plan is to get the guest bedroom turned back into the new office space tonight.

Hope to clear out more space in the garage this weekend....the car fits, but garage is a mess.

No, no camp pics. I'm not worried about not seeing him though, because I know he'll have a blast! :thumbsup2

Birthday WEEK? Wow, Molly's a lucky kid! Woohoo!!!! Sounds wonderful! :dance3:

Yay for Wilson on All Stars, and he'll have a great time at camp! :goodvibes

Glad you had a nice visit with Dad! I really wish mine would visit, and he's only an hour and a half away.

I wish!!!!! I'm still not caught up on sleep from our weekend away because I keep staying up LATE reading instead of going to bed early! I just need a day to sleep in, and that's not going to happen any time soon. Well, looks like July 2 is my only shot at that.

Good Afternoon Thieves.....where is Marilyn and Deborah. They have forsaken us. Sad.

I LOVE the new car Monica.....many safe travels and good luck with it. I'm also happy for you that you had such and incredibly good visit with your dad.

Where is Ken and Shannon too. It's summer and we need to see the new kayak in the water.

Sorry that you're still trying to figure out what works for you Michelle. Keep trying and sooner or later you'll get there. When I do get up, I try to do one day on and one day off to pace myself. Maybe you should try that.

Nana, it sounds like you are having the best summer ever with the kids. They are both so busy and doing so much. It's all good....to steal a line from Cheri.

Hi Ian, miss you. Are you and Sukie getting ready for your nuptuals? Have you set a date yet? Think of it as renewing your vows, since you already got married in Sept 2008. Wow! Three years already!

Holly, what are you up to??? Now that Tyler is at camp, why don't you have time for a sleep in to catch up. Inquiring minds want to know.....haha.

Hi Ann and Albert.....can't wait until Sept and we have our mini meet at WDW.

Hi to all the Thieves. Happy Summer! It's finally here. No more glacier in my driveway. Yeah!

Now that father's day is over, my calendar looks clear until July 12 when I take Ray to the eye doctor and his GP doctor....both on the same day. That date was also my mom's birthdate. It's a good thing to keep busy that day. I know Ray has no idea that it was her birthday. He doesn't even ask to go to see her anymore. He has become incontinent and is slowly digressing mentally. Physically, his doctor keeps saying that he's as healthy as an ox.

July is also the anniversary of mom's death. July has become a sad month because I miss her, but I'll try to turn it around and make it a celebration of her life.

Yesterday I spent the day making summer salads....potato salad and macaroni salad. Today is a day off and then tomorrow I'll make deviled eggs and egg salad. Now we can barbeque and have all the salads for sides. Yup! It's summer!!

Winter is usually a crock pot meal....it's heavy and hot. For summer I like to go light and cold. I can't wait to move to FL and change my eating habits because of the heat.

Because last Saturday we were up early at Cedar Point, Sunday we had to get up early to get ready for his dad to pick him up, this coming Saturday I have to be up by 6:30am to be up at camp at 10am to spend a couple hours with Tyler, Sunday up early for church, then up early every morning during the week for work. I wish I had a more exciting answer for you, LOL! ;)
