Maybe next time a 4 day/3 day back to back?

Nope--if we had time and money for a 7 day we would do a 7 day. Nassau is no draw but we do like the ports on the Eastern and Western. And while the bells and whistles of the DREAM are fun, we prefer the smaller ships. The MAGIC is our first love. Our first cruise ever was on her in 1999 and we have put in more time on her too.

The only reason I might consider a B2B on the DREAM is 2 days at Castaway Cay

Jan, you're so good to understand. I even get frustrated from it lasting so long, but you always have a good answer and it makes sense. Thanks friend. When I can stay awake all day again, we will chat regularly and get back to our exercising buddy system. For now, I'm still sleeping most days. My first and only brand new car had no A/C. When I had to use it to do runs into Newark in the middle of the hot summer I used to keep a towel and a jug of cold water in the car. I splashed the towel with the cold water and put it around my neck the whole drive home. When it dried off, because it was a long ride, I splashed it again and I maintained my cool for the whole drive.

Sounds like a perfect time for the neck cooler Michelle and Barbara made for FE gifts on the WBPC cruise.

From now on I will call Maintenance.

On the DREAM the TV remote did not work farther than 2 feet from the TV. I made a trip to Guest Services for new batteries. They said they would send a technician. 3 phone calls later and still no technician. Then we learn that GS has told our WONDERFUL stateroom host that we are mad at him !!
NOT
Finally he saw that the sensor on top of the TV had rotated 90 degrees as the glue was tacky, not dry. I used 3M Magic Tape on it. I wrote the evaluate to praise him and complain that GS said they would send a technician but did not. Said technician would have seen the issue in a flash.

I think it is new staff not used to working together and not sure how to deliver the "magic"

I started out earlier trying to get to sleep... it's not working.

BUT...

I was looking through the channel guide on the TV and I found that they were showing Sukie's documentary!!!! So.. I'm sitting here watching. I set up the DVR downstairs so mom can see tomorrow. (I had to delete several Oprah episodes and an old movie she's seen a dozen times that will be back on next week...) (I did NOT however delete the Oprah episode with the entire cast of the Sound of Music... I always wanted to be Leisl...)


On another note...

The temps tomorrow night are supposed to be back in the 40's!!!! THIS is the summer I know... warm days... cool nights... That's lake weather!!!

I would do it in a heartbeat, but then I would be divorced. John said he's NEVER going back to Nassau again. He's adament about only one cruise a year. I just can't rock the boat. He wins this round. Marriage is all about compromise. Whoever wants it more, wins each round. He's serious, so I back off.

We finally accepted Peggy of hearing for the dog...

She is so beautiful and can be mischief at park!! I hope she is not like Marley and me no 2!!!

Peggy join with us and get on well with our kids... we are very pleased with her...

We go back on 11 July and training with her for 5 days then bring her home...

Absolutely Marilyn. He's looking forward to doing Hawaii. He would like to cruise once a year on Disney....the longer the better....new itineraries are good too. Just no more Nassau.

When we got back from the cruise we found out our cat Sweetie had end-stage kidney disease. We had to make the decision to have her put to sleep today as she is rapidly going down hill with no quality of life.

She has stopped eating and is having trouble walking too.

She is only 10 years old so we thought we would be together a lot longer. But I guess they never stay as long as we want do they...

don't forget to put it in either the fridge or in ice water before you use it in the really high heat.. it will keep it cooler. Just put it back in water from time to time to sort of "recharge" it...
