I'm bunking w/ Cheri.....she & I have discussed the possibility of my needing to bow out & she will be the 1st one to know what my decision is (when I make it).

I really want to do the 4nighter cuz we've got Jennifer & Dennis on there too - they're not doing the 3nighter. (who am I kidding?? I really want to do it all!!!)

Why?

I'm not cancelling anything yet....you never know --- I could win the lottery If I don't go at all.....I WILL still be taking Ms Cheri to the port & spending the night. (I would also get 1 entire week's worth of salary back in December....that would go towards Hawaii). I'll still be considering just the 3 nighter too.....I could still get 3 days salary back if I do this. We'll see....not making any decisions yet.

Sounds like it's going to be a great party Holly. I can't wait for the pics. Is Tyler going to wear some sort of costume for being the birthday boy?

Nope. I got him a birthday boy pin to wear though.

. It is lovely! We enjoyed Mickey's Detective Agency and the Aqua Duck. We don't care much for "Villians Tonight" as the bad guys win. Food was good, bed comfy and stateroom host excellent.

But it is BIG. We are used to stairs and walking and yet found it big. We had a company party on board--a perk for a good year from the boss. They would have been happier on a Carnival ship and we would have been happier if they had been on a Carnival ship.

We like the longer cruises, dressing for dinner and the more leisurely pace. On the DREAM we wanted to see everything so were on the go since it was only 4 days.

Maybe next time a 4 day/3 day back to back?

I can't believe it's hot and humid and summer outside. The last thing I knew it was early spring and wet and cold and damp outside. We went from early spring to mid summer in just the three weeks that I had been gone. It changed so fast.

That was us yesterday and the day before. Hopefully our weather today heads your way. It's really windy, which feels great, and it only got up to 70. Perfect!

Seems like if you are sleeping, your body must need the rest to heal. As long as you are not falling asleep at the wheel, I suggest you not stress and just go with it!!

Recharge the battery--you have run it down with the illness before vacation, the legs and the trip. Got to get that battery charge back up and it will take a while.

Jan, you're so good to understand. I even get frustrated from it lasting so long, but you always have a good answer and it makes sense. Thanks friend. When I can stay awake all day again, we will chat regularly and get back to our exercising buddy system. For now, I'm still sleeping most days. Thanks for your patience and understanding and encouragement. Hugs.

Hello all!!

Happy Wednesday!!

I've been given an opportunity this week & next (not that I had a choice) to train the new person hired in our office. I know I know my stuff, but my focus is all over the place....can you say TANGENTS???? Hopefully I won't confuse her too much

My manager came up to me this morning (before most people were here) and said "I saw your requests yesterday and I want to smack you".....I posted for 4 internal transfers to work from home. She went on to say "I don't think it's good for you" (meaning no interaction w/ others). I replied "well, I don't have $ for a car payment right now". I followed this up w/ a conversation w/ my supervisor/friend & asked him if she could "black ball me"---he said no, if not it would be an HR issue. We'll see if anything comes of it.

Awww Monica....it's so hard when you know you want something and everyone around you says no. Don't give up the good fight. It will happen if you are persistent and never give up. Pixie dust and prayers coming your way!!

I know you say that with I honestly believe that she means well with that comment too....I personally don't know if I'd like it....but the good thing about my company is that we can transfer again after 6 months (if we're in good standing).

You KNOW where I live & unfortunately I can NOT manage w/o a car....there is no public transportation at all out there. I do have a friend (Will) who has said that I can borrow his car (which I'm sure I'll end up doing) but the down side is that it has NO A/C!!! No a/c...in the summer time in Central Florida!! (I will suck it up and use his car tho if I need to) I must admit that I am using the car situation tho as a barganing tool

My first and only brand new car had no A/C. When I had to use it to do runs into Newark in the middle of the hot summer I used to keep a towel and a jug of cold water in the car. I splashed the towel with the cold water and put it around my neck the whole drive home. When it dried off, because it was a long ride, I splashed it again and I maintained my cool for the whole drive.

He doesn't! He rides back & forth w/ Mickey. His car's just sitting in the driveway under the car port. Used on emergency situations only He also brought his car with him from Ohio.

If I could work from home (even for just 6 months)...that would atleast give me another 6 months postponement on the car situation ($). I've almost completely made the decision to cancel out the November B2B too (I really DON'T want to, but I guess I should be adult about this, right?? )

I know, me too. It's killing me that I had to cancel out but I'm still sending and paying for Casey and Brittany to go. It's like I'm paying for it and I still don't get to go. But the kid is getting engaged onboard. I don't want to take that away from them. Let it be special. I'll pay and stay home. I'm such a good Aunt.

Oh lord...tea and rye toast sound so good! (LOVE rye!) Since I have no bread of any kind, nor butter, I guess I'll just have to have some tea.

There is a can of Progresso chicken soup in the cupboard for later though!

So I've decided we're going on the 12/15/12 Fantasy with so many other Thieves! I nabbed that week off work before anybody else does. Woohoo! That makes me feel better about not taking Tyler on the Hawaii cruise and he's so excited about getting to go on the Aqua Duck!
