Install the a/c downstairs cause it's gonna be hot tomorrow...:thumbsup2

Hit Walmart for motrin for aching back...:thumbsup2

went to Jacks for a baby cone.. Twist with chocolate sprinkles...:banana::banana::banana:
Good job! :thumbsup2 But......don't you have central air?!

Yup, I do that too! ;) And I guess that's why I'm perpetually trying to clean, because I never end up getting anything done. But I'm still determined.......I keep saying this summer is when I finally get the whole house in shape. With the amount of stuff we keep getting rid of, it's bound to work out eventually! :thumbsup2

I keep saying I'm going to put a rope around my house like they do in museums...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I don't get my friends who say they can clean their whole house in a day...

& I don't know why my sister complains about my house.. she hasn't had to clean her house since her son was born... (Merry Maids...)

I have one of those fiberglass shower enclosures... you just have to spray with cleaner and sort of spray it down. If I had tile... I'd still be there... with scrubbing bubbles probably

That's what we have too, but the tub itself needs scrubbing. For me, that's the easiest part of cleaning the bathroom, but it's just the part I forget most often, probably because I see the rest of the bathroom 12 times a day, and the shower part only once a day. ;)

Nope.. this house didn't come with it... it stays cool downstairs all the time, well, except when it's like 90 out...

My next house is getting A/C and ceiling fans everywhere!!!

& up until recently we didn't need any a/c up at the lake.. but with the last few summers... it's been hot here and there.

the party sounds good to me! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

He has the pinata, he also picked out an Army version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey -- it's a map and you pin the Army helicopter on the radar spot or something like that, then his main event is a "water grenade" battle, complete with water balloons that look like grenades. ;) Oh, and camo face paint too, which I have to recruit another parent to help me do that. When we ordered the cake, he told the baker the party is an Army/camo theme and asked for a military scene on his cake. Can't wait to see what we end up with!

I'm definitely going to have to fill up the water balloons ahead of time, I guess that morning, and find a place to put them where they won't pop, we're thinking on a tarp in the backyard where they'll be used. I have a couple hundred to fill. :rotfl2:

I see.....makes sense. I'd die without central air, LOL!!!!

I hope you didn't tell everyone to come dressed in camo.. cause they're gonna blend in to the background...

:rotfl2: No, the thought never even crossed my mind! ;)

And now, off to bed I go. My body was sore this morning from all the sawing of trees and branches so many hours yesterday and I'm just wiped out.

Jan, glad you had a wonderful vacation! Did you like the Dream?

:). It is lovely! We enjoyed Mickey's Detective Agency and the Aqua Duck. :thumbsup2We don't care much for "Villians Tonight" as the bad guys win. Food was good, bed comfy and stateroom host excellent.

But it is BIG. We are used to stairs and walking and yet found it big. We had a company party on board--a perk for a good year from the boss. They would have been happier on a Carnival ship and we would have been happier if they had been on a Carnival ship.

We like the longer cruises, dressing for dinner and the more leisurely pace. On the DREAM we wanted to see everything so were on the go since it was only 4 days.

I cooked inside... still too hot... 85 on the deck... and that's now in the shade...

I AM going out to spread the weed killer that was supposed to go down in APRIL!!! :lmao: At this point... it's for show and will keep the QM happy.

Deb...

did you try resetting the box? You know unplug, replug wait for it to reset?

Did you shake it a little? Cause if it's already broken... it won't kill it anymore than that... sort of...

just don't drop it.

May I suggest you watch some of the shows online? :happytv::happytv:

& think of it as a good thing.. you really didn't need to see Kirstey Alley dance the rumba... :scared1:

I can gladly say that after almost three hours of plugging in this and unplugging that.....we found out that it's not the DVR, but the TV instead. This makes me happy. My box is good and all my shows are saved. I now have to watch them on an old 19" and believe me it's archaic. We'll wait until it's in the budget to buy a new TV. I just got home from a three week vacation and John's paycheck was salary deleted this time around since he took too many vacation days. Oh and next year we're just flying out one night before cruise and staying near the port. Then flying straight home after cruise so we don't use up too much time.

Deb - you can still own & not do a bit of lawn work or cleaning :lmao: If you end up near me, I know both :goodvibes I had to give up the lawn work people for the $ :rotfl: :upsidedow

Sounds good Mon....but I like renting. We just changed our hot water heater as soon as we came home too. Then coz the kid did it while we were on Long Island visiting Uncle Teddy, the valve popped and water sprayed everywhere. I'm done with it all. I'll see what's available in your neighborhood when we get there.

I hear the funeral music already :sad1::sad2: :flower3:

Michelle had a good suggestion....did you unplug & plug back in? Wait...would that clear everything??? :confused3

Reboot is one thing I do know how to do....my laptop, my cell phone, my TV....everything gets rebooted from time to time. That didn't work though. At least it's working now.

I was going to mow tonight, but it started raining, so I'll have to do it tomorrow. Instead, we went out and ordered Tyler's birthday cake and then to the party store to get all the party supplies/decorations/pinata. Still have to get the helium tank for balloons from Wal-Mart, drinks, and recruit somebody to pick up pizzas on the way over (because Little Caesars is cheapest with their $5 large pizzas but they don't deliver). Oh, and after mowing I have to soak the back yard with bug spray so it has a day to soak in. Then Saturday morning we pick up the cake, decorate the yard, and PARTY! :) Tyler already assembled the goody bags (well, they're actually Army truck shaped boxes) and stuffed them with the party favors he picked out. It was so fun to watch him at the store picking out everything, he's SO stinking excited! :dance3: He got to plan every detail for the whole party, so I'm sure all the kids will have fun, since it was planned by a kid, LOL! :thumbsup2

Sounds like it's going to be a great party Holly. I can't wait for the pics. Is Tyler going to wear some sort of costume for being the birthday boy?

It was the same for us Jan....when we did the Dream. There was so much to see and such little time we were constantly on the go.

Glad to hear it wasn't the DVR... you will get a new :happytv: soon!

Hahahaha.....quick go watch it now before it disappears.....hahaha.

I am running at 95 percent. I'm glad that Oprah is over so now I can clear some time off of it!

I'm so very glad too......I still have not seen the end of Oprah. It's recorded. My problem is that everytime I try to watch something, I fall asleep still. Then there's the Casey Anthony trial during the day to watch. Since I was gone for vacation, I have 30% used that I need to watch. Is your 95% available? That's not much to watch. You'll do it quickly.

No.. that's 95 filled...

I tend to keep things thinking I'm going to watch them again and again...

I need to blow up my DVR so I can start over!!!

I'm really tired of Nancy Grace... I've been listening to the trial while I'm working... if for nothing else... these are good civics lessons... she probably did it.. or something happened that went crazy wrong, but I think the whole family is nuts and it's gonna be a soap opera watching it unfold.

I can't believe it's hot and humid and summer outside. The last thing I knew it was early spring and wet and cold and damp outside. We went from early spring to mid summer in just the three weeks that I had been gone. It changed so fast.
