Holly!!!

Bathroom's done!!!!

Took a while since I had to stop every once in a while because of the fumes... :upsidedow

Next up... watering my grass seed, putting down the fertilizer and pulling some more weeds...

I've decided to wait until Wednesday when the temps are supposed to go back down to 70 or so to fill in the planter with new top soil and then maybe go and get some flowers to put in.

You're all making me exhausted! I did nothing but sleep most of the weekend....still trying to play catch up.....and I'm exhausted just reading everything that everyone else is doing.....especially all that yard work. I'm definitely not buying anything when I get to Florida.....rentals only where someone else comes and does all the work. Then I hire cleaners to come in once a week and send the laundry out to be done and I'm good to go.

Holly promises to slow down as soon as she has to do the lawn...

I have to go and start the grill and see what I can make for dinner... rumor has it it's pork chops.... with it??? I have no idea...

It's a very sad day today.....my DVR died!!! Nothing but black. I have 40% of it still with recordings on it from when I was away for three weeks. Gone! That makes me so mad. It's not like it has a chip that I can transfer to a new box. So I lose everything that I recorded while I was on vaca. Bummer!

I have to take an old box out of the spare bedroom to use until I can get an appointment to have a new box put in. That one doesn't record. It's just a regular satellite box. So I can watch without recording until I get my appointment. Hopefully I won't fall asleep while watching because if I do then I miss it. I hate not watching recorded television.

I have to wait for John to get home from work anyway to switch boxes. I can't do it. So it's been a pretty quiet day around here today. No TV. I had to fall asleep listening to the Casey Anthony trial on my laptop.

John grilled a marinated steak with onions and grilled potatoes last night. It's the kick off of the summer.....we had to start the barbeque. We still have leftovers. Yum!

I cooked inside... still too hot... 85 on the deck... and that's now in the shade...

I AM going out to spread the weed killer that was supposed to go down in APRIL!!! :lmao: At this point... it's for show and will keep the QM happy.

Deb...

did you try resetting the box? You know unplug, replug wait for it to reset?

Did you shake it a little? Cause if it's already broken... it won't kill it anymore than that... sort of...

just don't drop it.

May I suggest you watch some of the shows online? :happytv::happytv:

& think of it as a good thing.. you really didn't need to see Kirstey Alley dance the rumba... :scared1:

Deb - you can still own & not do a bit of lawn work or cleaning :lmao: If you end up near me, I know both :goodvibes I had to give up the lawn work people for the $ :rotfl: :upsidedow

I was just teasing. I'm the same way. Much easier to break it down into smaller parts, I totally agree. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, I do ONE of the smaller parts and the STOP! :lmao:

.

Me too....I usually start in 1 spot then say "oh, this belongs in the other room" then I go in there & do something there and completely forget about the 1st room/thing I was doing. :lmao:

I have to take breaks...I get tired, overwhelmed & my back starts to hurt.

No need to over work yourself in the heat...definately a good idea to wait until it cools off a tad bit

Good job! I still haven't cleaned my shower. That's the only part of the bathroom I keep forgetting to finish.

I was going to mow tonight, but it started raining, so I'll have to do it tomorrow. Instead, we went out and ordered Tyler's birthday cake and then to the party store to get all the party supplies/decorations/pinata. Still have to get the helium tank for balloons from Wal-Mart, drinks, and recruit somebody to pick up pizzas on the way over (because Little Caesars is cheapest with their $5 large pizzas but they don't deliver). Oh, and after mowing I have to soak the back yard with bug spray so it has a day to soak in. Then Saturday morning we pick up the cake, decorate the yard, and PARTY! :) Tyler already assembled the goody bags (well, they're actually Army truck shaped boxes) and stuffed them with the party favors he picked out. It was so fun to watch him at the store picking out everything, he's SO stinking excited! :dance3: He got to plan every detail for the whole party, so I'm sure all the kids will have fun, since it was planned by a kid, LOL! :thumbsup2

I have one of those fiberglass shower enclosures... you just have to spray with cleaner and sort of spray it down. If I had tile... I'd still be there... with scrubbing bubbles probably

Yup, I do that too! ;) And I guess that's why I'm perpetually trying to clean, because I never end up getting anything done. But I'm still determined.......I keep saying this summer is when I finally get the whole house in shape. With the amount of stuff we keep getting rid of, it's bound to work out eventually! :thumbsup2
