I would love to do the Hawaii cruise! There is no way. I will be giving finals the week of the 29th of April. I wish the timing could have been better for me but I know you guys will have a fantastic time.

Oh, I wish you could make it to Hawaii too Tammy

Of course, not all of us are hoping for Hawaii, so maybe you will have a meet with some Theives yet. We can also plan for 2013 ;)

I am hoping to move a booking that I have for May 2012 to Hawaii, but I also have one for Nov 2012. If I can't manage Hawaii, then I'll be falling back to that one.

Well you never know!!;)

I don't think they will sell out just as quickly as the one Hawaii cruise as there are plenty of cruises from NY.

I wish DCL would give better ideas of prices BEFORE you book so you have more to go off when deciding what to do. They have this silly method which makes for a bit of a riot on the day and gives the impression that DCL is the be all and end all of all cruise lines, which in all honesty it is not! They just like to make it difficult and mysterious.

I think they just don't want you comparing prices to other cruise lines. hahaha.

Either way, I'm a DCL only fan. No one else has Mickey. And I just adore him. :cutie:

Marilyn I agreed with you...

too short notice and not enough give times to think about...

I am off to Florida on Friday and I think I leave it ... as I would love to do NY on July but I saw the price oh I think it is expensive for 4 of us...but mil want come with us next year holiday so I have no time to talk about it...

Two more days Deb....WOOHOO!!!!! I'm excited for you. We leave in 2 weeks. I still have much to do to get ready. EERK!! Are you done packing yet?

We won't be booking opening day either. May look at booking on-board to get the half price deposit - it the fare isn't outrageous.

Oh and if the government shut downs Friday we definitely won't be booking anytime soon :scared1:

Wow....it's not just us. The timing is not good for a lot of us. Let's hope the government doesn't shut down on Friday and that you're able to book while on the Wonder.

John and I spent the day in NYC selling my old jewelry in the diamond district. We did better than I expected. YEAH!!! I'm relieved because now I can afford to book on Friday. I have been waiting for DCL to go to Hawaii for ten years....since my first cruise. There was no way I wanted to miss this opportunity. It's a good thing that I buy a lot of jewelry. hahaha. It's always an investment.....gold is over $1400/oz right now. That's way higher then when I bought all the old stuff. So it worked out.

I think if they gave us more time btwn the announcement (with prices) and the opening date, there wouldn't be as much of a run on day 1 with people calling to HOLD reservations & get a price before they are able to discuss it with the others in their party. If we were given the option to talk about it/ crunch numbers/check dates of sailing between the announcement date & booking date, many would already know if they could or could not do that particular sailing.

I could not agree more Monica. There's a feeding frenzy to get booked and then everyone drops when it's time to pay. If they gave you more time in between announcing and booking, they could avoid some of that.

ESPECIALLY when people put holds on premium cabins...you know, the 'secret' porthole and 'secret' verandahs. I already sent a message to my friend Dee to keep her mits off "MY" Cat 7 cabin! :lmao:

.

I'm glad 5122 is not in demand.

I'm afraid I will have the same competition with 5150 because of the verandah.

Just need to spend more time on the Magic and the Wonder then. :yay:

And all that puts the prices up and we all panic so feel in future we have to get in there first too!!!

Yes Angie, Disney sure know how to market and we all fall for it!!

Marilyn, I booked the Nov Dream 4/3 night B2B.....a very long time ago. I just booked the same trip for Casey and Brittany and I'm paying 3X the amount for the same category. The lower categories were none available and the "muster" was full so I couldn't add them to my room either. Watch them all fall off when final payment is due. It is good to book as soon as bookings open or at least a year in advance.

Deb...

someone on FB just said that the Magic WON'T be going out of Bayonne!!!

Now we know where to go for lunch!!! :thumbsup2

I will definitely meet you in NYC to watch the Magic sail under the Verazzano. That is so "home" to me. I'm thrilled!

And we will miss you Tammy. We'll do a champagne cheers to you so you'll be with us in spirit.

You know it's gonna be like the PC cruise... All of these people are going to book, run up the prices and then at FP... cancel... :headache:

Yup, I said the same thing Michelle. Everyone wants to lock in the price and the availability until it comes time to pay.
