Greetings all from snowy Smithers, BC. This place would be a dream for Holly!
Here is a pic outside my hotel window:

Smithers is known for it's skiing.

However, I don't ski ...

Spent the last couple of days out here setting up our office here. Had 2 days to setup 14 computers from scratch. Took a lot of work but got it all done.

Missing being at home, but looking forward to seeing the girls' Christmas concert tomorrow night.

Glad to see things seem to be going well for everyone. And I was really glad to see Deb's attitude seems to be getting better since the previous post I commented on (with just a pic).

hope not me?

anyway, I realised now that you always have many snowing as we didn't have that but two weeks ago, it was worst hit in Scotland and I never see like that for 20 years...

I do remember my late mum's aunt lived in Canada, she always post us photo of her in the snowing...

I think my brother or family have it... I cannot find it...

Now i have some snow icy on the pavement which I find difficult to walk last night... and now more snowing oh no....

Hi Ken, I LOVE the sad Mickey.....it would be good to use as a door magnet on the last night on the boat. hahaha. I am better now. I just keep resting a lot and doing a little here and there in between. I've also scaled back. We usually cut our own tree down each year. I didn't want to go through all that so I got a 2 foot tree in a pot. It looks so tiny, but it's cute. It comes with it's own mini lights and ornaments. We'll decorate it today. I have my cards half done. I need to finish them today. Then I'll be wrapping all week. I already sent a box out to Tristan in Japan, Casey in Virginia and to Rachel in Ohio....the baby's mama....my great grandaughter coming in April. I bought Lilly the prettiest little dresses.....very girly. I can't wait to see pictures of her in them after she gets here and grows into them.

I think everyone is lacking Christmas cheer this year. We do our best. It's great hearing from Jan and Angie and friends that have not been here in a while. It's always good to keep in touch.

Angie, New Year's eve is 3 years without smoking. That's pretty good. Thank you my mentor and thanks to all the Thieves who kept me honest.

Way to go Deb!!! (on the smoking!!!)

Always knew you could do it!!!

Congrats Deb on three years with no smokes :yay:

We went to a Mannheim Steamroller concert last night. While I love their music, I was underwhelmed by the experience. They had videos on the backdrop which had little or nothing to do with the song they were playing, the volume was too loud ( luckily I had a tissue to make into ear plugs), they shine moving lights into the audience which gives my eyes headaches so I am glad I wore sunglasses. The lady next to me was conducting in her seat. Some folks in front of us arrived late so everyone had to stand to let them in to the middle of the row thus blocking our view and they were slow about it.

I wishes I was home, doing what we are doing today--listening to their CDs, at a comfortable volume, in our jammies. Tom is ordering Christmas presents and making cruise payments on line while I am DISing, FaceBooking and playing SuperPoke Pets. Ahh, this is how to prepare for Christmas.

Those who are on Facebook, I posted some links over the last few days to neat videos.

Merry Christmas to all.

Good job Deb! Glad to hear it.

today seems to have been a busy day. Started off with the girls going to see the Yogi Bear movie with my parents. I'm not sure who is enjoying us being in the new hose more, the kids or my parents... The girls and their grandparents have gone to a movie practically once a week since my parents got back from their vacation!

While the girls went to the show Shannon and I went to the mall to pick up a couple of things and to see our banker about a few things. The mall was nuts! And I swear the one store we wanted to buy things from had the slowest cashier I've ever seen! And that is saying something considering that same store a few weeks had a different cashier who I thought couldn't be any slower! Yes they were different people, just the same store... ugghh

Then Shannon and my sister went to go and see the movie Burlesque, while I took Kaleigh to Shannon's parents place. Shaelyn and I came home and she wrapped the presents to her sister and to Shannon and is right now playing Hannah Montana on the Wii while I watch the Canucks game on TV.

In about one hour Shaelyn and I are going to watch the Prince George Cougars junior hockey team take on the Kamloops Blazers (Western Hockey League - which is one level below the NHL in case you wondering). It's the annual "teddy bear toss" so we have our bears ready to toss once the home scores (hopefully they will score early). Just going to have some fun on a Dad/Daughter date tonight.

New magnet alert!

Thought I would design one that everyone who goes to Alaska can use regardless of the date.

Sounds like the move was good for everyone. Glad you have some Daddy-daughter time!

Those cashiers sound like they are Terminally Slow. We had a lumber yard in Albany New York called Terminal Hardware because it was in a building that used to be a trolley terminal. We said it was called Terminal Hardware because the cashiers were terminally s~l~o~w so that has become an adjective for us.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! :santa:

Burlesque made it to the Scotia 1 plex only 3 weeks after opening...:scared1: wondering what Shannon thought of it...
