So glad you guys (and everyone else) are coming back to visit... I miss hearing what you guys are up to...

Burlesque made it to the Scotia 1 plex only 3 weeks after opening... wondering what Shannon thought of it...

Problem is with facebook. Everyone keeps tabs on everything there so you wonder just what to post in the thread.

I was going to post the pics from the hockey game (one of Shaelyn and I with her eating pizza and one of the teddy bear toss) but noticed most people from the thread have either seen the pics already via facebook or have even commented on the pic. So posting about it here kinda seems redundant.

As for the movie - she loved it. Or at least she was in a "giddy" mood when I got back home.

I will post one thing here that I can't post on my facebook yet. Heck Shannon doesn't even know yet.

Apparently last night my baby sister got engaged. She just got back last week from spending a semester in England studying and I am taking it here boyfriend has had enough of her taking off so he wants to mark as his own before she goes back to school in September. So he popped the question. I have feeling however, that it is going to be a LONG engagement.

Tyler's Wii arrived today, with Wii Sports and Wii Resort, and I added Carnival Games and Epic Mickey for an awesome package deal on amazon.com. It's black, which I never knew existed until I saw this one. Can't wait to play! I just hope it's easy to hook up.

You will both love it!! Bowling and golf are just TOO much fun! I got the Epic Mickey for Dennis (sshhh! Don't tell him!). I got a deal on that also. It was a package with a controller and a nunchuk for a total of $35! Woot!! The game alone is $49 everywhere. I got him a red controller. I do still need to get the paintbrush controller, although I think you can use just the regular. The paintbrush will be very cool though.

Redundant Well not for me....I know, I am one of the very few that still isn't on facebook I understand why it is popular...but it just isn't for me. I don't have a huge amount of time to spend on line...so I choose here

Hugs to everyone as you try to cope and help with your loved ones It's hard to see our parents aging and starting to have health issues. I went to visit my in-laws last week, my MIL is having a very hard time with her memory. She has aged so much in the last year. She also has a blood disorder and has been having transfusions for the last couple of years.

I'm off work for the next 2 days I have a lot of work to do at home though Hoping to get all of my gifts wrapped and some baking done. I need to shop for food...but hopefully I've finished with the gift shopping. I probably need to do some house cleaning too!

I'm hoping that my daughter and I will be able to take a break together and see the movie The King's Speech. It opens here on Wednesday and looks like it is a good movie. Has anyone seen it yet?

We got Epic Mickey. And of course, had to get the paint brush nunchuk. It works just fine with a regular nunchuk, but that paint brush is just too cool!

I'm enjoying the game. No one else in the house is playing and I think it might be too tough for the girls right now, but they were having fun watching me play and helping me out. There are some real interesting decisions to be made in the game.

Not too far in the game so far but I am curious to see how some sections come about.

Our Wii gave up the ghost the other day. Looks like a disc drive error. Nintendo said it would cost $85 plus shipping to fix. We did the math and figured we wanted to have the Wii around for Christmas so we splurged and bought a new one. We bought the red one. Didn't work out too bad as we got extra parts now (controllers, power supplies, sensor bars, etc) as well as an extra game. The red machine with the old white controllers = just like a Canadian flag!!
