Is May the best weather wise?

I decided on May because I figure it will be easier on Tyler to miss school near the end of the school year rather than at the beginning. :thumbsup2

Of course, since we're doing TWO cruises next year, I doubt I'll be able to swing paying the deposit for another one so soon after paying for the two, but certainly want to try! :thumbsup2

Ian, sorry that your vacation is over and that you've had to come back to reality...and that your reality is your current job :sad2:

I think a resort or downtown disney might work best too. Anyone have ideas

I have to say goodnight now. I'm done for the day! Worked all day and have to be back to work at 6:30 am. Was it only yesterday that I was saying what a wonderful day off I had

The venue that springs to mind it the restaurant at Saratoga Springs. It's looked quite room to me and they have a very large outdoor patio, one of the only restaurants in WDW that does have one, aside from Olivia's at Old Key West.

It also has never looked all that busy, which is important because they are going to want to usher us out at a busy place to free up tables.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I just keep focusing on the thought that "this too shall end," and eventually I'll move on, or just have to slap the crap out of them!

Things certainly sound to be improving Holly.

I told the doctor today that I've only been called at work to pick Tyler up early TWICE this summer, as compared to at least once a week last summer. It certainly helps that he's in a better environment, because they have so many more options for him when things aren't going well, since there are so many more adults and different activities. Tyler asked me today if he can do the YMCA for summer vacation next year too. :thumbsup2 This week is so fun for him, they go to the bowling alley EVERY DAY, before lunch, come back to the Y for lunch, then they're taken by bus to a park for a while, then they come back to swim in the pool the rest of the day. Next week instead of bowling, he'll be going to an IMAX theater EVERY DAY! :goodvibes Last week was cooking every day and learning about healthy snacks and healthy food choices.

Anyway, the psych told us today he doesn't want to cut the dosage on one med right now when school is about to start. Scheduled us to return in October, but if things are going well in a month, we are to call him and he'll give us the OK to cut the dose then, which will just be eliminating 1 of the 2 doses of one med. He told Tyler that it's all up to him this time (because he knows Tyler wants to keep decreasing meds).

Yes, it is up and downs but I just want to saying that you done your best with your leg... I think it will take a long times but please patience with it...You are nice lady and good heart too.... sometime not fair on you with your leg can be frustrated but it take times....

I sometime frustrated with my hearing as I see people laughed and I don't know what is it about as I missed out lot and sometime I have been patience and another time I get so frustrated....All through my life and sometime I just wish I born with hearing...sometime I asked why me why I missed out lots but I am lucky to have a lovely family... that is me...

That is life....

Holly, I'm glad that things are stabilizing and that you can now look at reducing the meds :thumbsup2 Is Tyler excited then about going back to school?

No, he's not looking forward to it. He's a nervous wreck. Although I say he's comfortable and secure there, I mean relative to a daycare setting. In his classroom, he can have the outbursts and explosions and know he's not going to be made fun of or get in trouble. They expect it and are prepared for it, there's a padded room (literally) with shatterproof glass and a steel door, the kids go in there and rage, then return to their desk and can move on and continue with their day. But school is not a fun place for him because of how he struggles academically. Even though he's had such major improvements academically, he knows he's way behind his friends and other kids his age, so it really bothers him, and he'll keep trying until he's overwhelmed and frustrated and angry. It's exhausting for him.

BUT.....we were shopping today and he found some gifts he wants to bring for his teacher (who he loves to death, and he's her favorite), and he wrote the alphabet (both uppercase and lowercase) and a couple math problems because he wants her to see how well he's doing. ;) Such a cutie pie!

AND.....we went to a whole bunch of stores until he picked out the perfect outfit for his first day back (knowing we can't get it until payday, but he's fine with that). This outfit includes a hat, sort of what I think looks like an old fashioned gangster hat, LOL! :lmao:

Deborah, I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be for you, but you are almost always upbeat and enjoying life, and have the best smile :) (which Olivia shares by the way!) :grouphug:

Hey Deborah, notice how she said "almost always upbeat"? :rotfl2: I think she's saying you're crabby sometimes! :lmao:

Just kidding, we love you! (And your smile!) ;)

A resort might be the easiest, at least to get room for all of us. We're staying at Old Key West on this trip.

I've haven't been very engaged in what's been going on since honestly nearly all of my energy is spent just trying to get through each day at work and coping with the stress.
:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

they say that when God takes away one thing from your life, he gives you gifts you could never have imagined. Just think of how you probably notice much more than we do... colors, shapes, things we take for granted because it all just blends in...

You are very special and you've also opened up a world to US and those of us who have never had a friend with hearing loss. :thumbsup2
I agree!!!!! :thumbsup2 :grouphug:

I vote for slapping the crap out of them, at least that would be fun! ;)

You mean you're headed to ARNOLDLAND!

Turf club doesn't seem to have much for Sukie to eat...

How about Portobello at DTD? Or Wolfgang Puck Express? Or there is that room at Capt. Jacks...

I don't know what Club 33 is, but have a great time!!! :dance3: Yeah, yeah, I know, I should google it. Too lazy when I know somebody here will fill me in. ;)

So I picked up some flyers when I picked Tyler up from the Y a couple days ago and have decided on payday I'm signing up for some exercise classes. I'm motivated by Monica's walking! :thumbsup2 I know I should start with just one, but I'm afraid if I do that, I'll get lazy the other 6 days of the week and end up not wanting to go back to class the next week. So starting Sept. 7 I'll have Beginning Belly Dancing on Monday evenings, Women on Weights Tues & Thurs evenings, and Zumba Saturdays at noon. I told Tyler he's stuck coming with me 4 days a week, but he said "That's OK, I want you to get healthy, I'll just swim in the pool while you do that". :thumbsup2 He's trying to steer me away from donuts too. :rotfl2: That's an impossible job. I told him I wanted to stop for a donut one day recently, and he told me he's made a deal with himself that he's not going to have any donuts for 3 years and wants me to join him. He's completely lost his mind. :headache:

you have zero memory ....it's the Private Disney club. I think Marilyn and the Morkerts have shared their adventures there. I'm not sure who my friend got the resservation from but I'm grateful for it

Deborah, I missed your post about how you feel sometimes being deaf. Lots of love to you. I forget you are deaf you know, even when I am with you!! You're a star.

Yeah, Maz but I think it's Mandy's inner glow. She is an angel after all...

Or maybe I forgot to balance the skin tones.

Don't rebalance her, I like that she is lit!!!

Deb, sure wish we could just wave that magic wand and make everything better:grouphug:

Me too!

:confused3

Are you able to meet up on the 15th? I am cruising on the 16th but am hoping to meet up with Monica and Marilyn and John and anyone else that might be available on the 15th.

We arrive on the 9th and leave on the 23rd so I'm sure we'll be available.

Great!!

:thumbsup2 Great! We haven't decided where to meet yet. Any ideas would be welcomed! I think Monica has to work during the day but is able to join us after 7:00 . So, in park or out of park? Downtown Disney or resort??? Dinner??? Let's get planning :cool1:

Out of a park would be best for us.

A resort might be the easiest, at least to get room for all of us. We're staying at Old Key West on this trip.

Sorry things still aren't good work wise for you Ian.

I do think the Turf Club is bigger than Olivias, and if the weather is good then the patio would be lovely!!!

Well Tyler has had a fun summer. It sounds so exciting.

One of our grandsons is struggling, and the worst thing is seeing him know he is so behind everyone. He makes comments about being stupid etc. Though the school is really good, they kept ignoring his mum's concerns until they started looking at his younger sisters. He is worse than them.:confused3 Anyway they did test him and he has dyslexia, which his parent's thought, but he could have been having help for much longer and his confidence might have been better.

you have zero memory ....it's the Private Disney club. I think Marilyn and the Morkerts have shared their adventures there. I'm not sure who my friend got the resservation from but I'm grateful for it

We did go and very nice it is too. Enjoy.
