Three years ago today I lost mom. She was in the Hospice for 4 days. I remember leaving the Hospice at 11:30 pm and running home to get online here. At midnight I booked my Halloween cruise ressies. It's strange the things you remember as time goes on.

I'm remembering mom all day today. I miss her a lot.

More cleaning today. After church we stopped at a store, had lunch, went swimming, then came home to clean. I'm almost done with the disgusting room I've been chipping away at. Just a little more tomorrow after work (couldn't stand doing any more tonight) and my 2nd set of before & after pics should follow. Then I'll move on to another room.

Work will be lousy again tomorrow because I'll be the only one again.

I'm so excited....my little baby cousin's son is being delivered right this very minute. His wife is scheduled to have a C section at 6:45am. That's right now. Welcome to the world little baby Jeffrey. I can't wait to go see him and hold him.

I haven't held a baby in so long... I take pride in knowing that every kid in my family fell asleep on my shoulder... now they all overlook me...

Today was a miserable day for me, but thanks anyway, Marilyn!

The week ended well for Tyler last week. This week should go really well for him because the theme is "Wet and Wild" and they're doing water activities every day, including a field trip to a water park.

I'm so excited....my little baby cousin's son is being delivered right this very minute. His wife is scheduled to have a C section at 6:45am. That's right now. Welcome to the world little baby Jeffrey. I can't wait to go see him and hold him.

Today sucked. When I left at the end of the day, there were enough piles on my desk that they guys had to start filling up the desk in the empty cube next to mine. There are enough piles there to keep me & Jan busy for a whole week (she comes back tomorrow, thank goodness), but we have to get it all done tomorrow because some of it has been sitting there since Friday. Crazy. BUT..........JOB SECURITY!

Then I had to run things to the post office for a late mail drop so they can still get mailed tonight, then had to get guinea pig food and a few groceries. Then came home and had to go across the street to take care of a neighbor's cat, mail, inside & outside plants. Came home to take care of the laundry that was hanging outside to dry today, washed and hung another load, and am FINALLY able to sit and relax! Too wiped out to finish cleaning the room I almost finished yesterday. Tomorrow will be soon enough.

Got a strange voicemail today. It was from a woman who bought one of my necklaces. I sort of remember her. Anyway, she told me on the voicemail that she just moved to the area and doesn't know anybody, and wants to know if I'd join her for a cup of coffee sometime. Should I think that's weird or just take it as she says, somebody new trying to make friends?

I actually started up a friendship with a real estate lady when I was looking at model homes once. We socialized a bit (movies & dinner and with other friends too). She moved away after several months, but it was nice to have somebody to 'play' with occasionally.

I haven't held a baby in so long... I take pride in knowing that every kid in my family fell asleep on my shoulder... now they all overlook me...

I held his brother and sister a lot more. My aunt had two kids two years appart....then 12 years later had an oops. Donna graduated high school in June and Jeff started kindergarden the following September. I already lived in the city by the time Jeff was born. I lived around the corner when Donna and her older brother were growing up so I was a lot closer with them. I was already 11 years old when Donna was born. I got to hold her and Scoot a lot.

I held Tristan more when he was a newborn. I didn't see Casey until he was months older. Jane and Jimi had already moved to Virginia and Jane was very controlling.

Tom and Kris were months older when we held them too. Sandi was all around the country with her army husband when they were born.

I can't wait to go hold little Jeffrey. It's been a long time since I held a newborn too.
