Just read a blog of someone on who got on the Magic today for the final Baltic. He reported that he was 'unofficially' told that the Magic will be back there and doing more Baltic's in 2012. (He is concierge level so it may have been said in the meet n greet there.) If it's true I hop the Med portion has some new ports (like GREECE). Though I'd still choose a long southern Caribbean over that I think (due to flights).

Deb, the dessert party is a fixed time 'X' minutes before the fireworks. The one we went to before the Tortola cruise was a feeding frenzy and they only brought out one round of strawberries. I'm glad to hear you can stop by earlier to get your bracelet, though.

Our Dates in October

I seem to recall there was a morbid interest in exactly what our dates are for our October trip. Well here they are:

Arrive Saturday, October 9th.

Depart Saturday, October 23rd.

Those are the plans right now and they are firm for Sukie and his daughter.

I might have to be more flexible.

I started 2010 with 10 unplanned days which is why I decided to go to DL and AZ and book that up. Unfortunately I burned through 2.5 days with the bout in the hospital and 1 day where I needed the time to take care of personal matters.

That only leaves me with 1.5 unplanned PTO days. I may need to use time to deal with matters at hand.

If that happens, I'll probably arrive in WDW later and not be there for the whole fortnight.

On the other hand everything could turn out hunky dory. You never know.

Here is the dis report.

All one sitting, but it didn't seem too frantic. We were there on time, so could get a good plateful easily. I never saw too big a crowd round the tables.

I won't mind getting off the boat this time.:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I would love nothing more than to do the Greek Islands. But the country is so unstable right now....??? Well, since we'll be going to Hawaii now I can stop writing it on my suggested cruises feedback. So now I'll start writing the Greek Islands instead. Oh, I ALWAYS write more Southern Caribbeans too.;)

We'll keep the fingers crossed, the vibes positive and the pixie dust flowing.....you're in our thoughts and prayers.

So I just got trashed over on FB by Leisha....my Godfather's second wife....or late in life wife. She's the same age as his two oldest kids. Anyway this is like the 3rd or 4th time that she has done this to me on FB. I deleted her as a friend. What is wrong with people. It's a public forum. She makes herself look stupid, not me. Fool!!!:confused3

I saw that right after she posted it and was wondering who in the world that idiot was!? Sorry, I shouldn't call her that, but she really did make herself look stupid. Glad you deleted her, nobody needs negative people like that in their life.

Holly, Toronto dinner plans works for me and John too!:goodvibes

Can't wait!!;)

Can't wait too! Tyler is really excited about the spaghetti place. I didn't get a chance to show him pictures, but told him about all the antiques and he went nuts. :thumbsup2 The actual spaghetti will just be an added bonus. ;) Hard Rock Cafe, let's just say he's less than thrilled, but I told him "too bad", he's not in charge, he has no say in this because he's just the kid. I told him he'll be in charge when he's an adult and plans his own trips, so "suck it up and deal with it". :rotfl2: Tough crumbs, said the cookie! :goodvibes I want to go, so does everybody else, so we're going and I can't wait! :cool1:

I'm so lazy if i don't try and schedule my cleaning then it doesn't get done, and it only gets worse. I have always had certain days for certain parts of the house, right from the children being little. Sad I know!!!!! Now being in a smaller house I can do it all in one fell swoop, but that is too tiring at the moment.:lmao: I do still leave things undone though, and I am not that houseproud at all.

Marilyn, having a regular schedule of certain days for certain parts of the house is a really good idea, I don't know why I didn't think of it before. Instead of me just doing it now to get things back in shape, I should just continue and make a a regular routine. That would really help me keep up with it, I'm sure! :thumbsup2

I think I might have been very quiet about it, for no other reason than it wasn't top of mind for me. I've been pretty distracted lately and haven't thought a whole lot about this trip.

I had the problem of having 10 vacation days remaining in 2010 that were unplanned. Looking at the way I had planned our holidays with WDW this past May and again with the family trip in October and then Thanksgiving, the only viable space in the calendar was August.

I'm taking a solo vacation without Sukie because he didn't want to go.

I leave on the evening of Friday, July 30th and meet up with Cheri in LA, and we have 3 days in Anaheim. Bubba and V are joining us.

Then on Tuesday, August 3rd we drive to Arizona.

I know that Arizona is not the first place that one would think of for an August holiday, but Cheri has been wanting me to visit, and this is the time that fit best.

I think about the trip from time to time but not much. I've really had other things on my mind, what with the work situation and all, and my energies being fully channeled into getting my act together.

Ian, what a wonderful trip! You certainly could use it right now.

HOLLY, did they get your overtime issue straightened out on Friday? Hope they aren't making you wait till the next pay period to get the money (which is what would happen at my company).

.

On Friday we're always short one person, and this week was busier than usual for some reason, more crises going on in the legal world for whatever reason, so I barely had time to run to the bathroom a couple times, let alone talk with our office manager about the hours. I did see on my paystub that all the hours were calculated at straight time, so I did let her know about it, and she asked me if I had designated them as time and a half on my time sheet. I wasn't aware I was to do that, as there's not a column for OT hours, I just figured it's her job to calculate all of that. Anyway, we're going to sit down Monday and work it out and I'm planning on asking for a check for the difference that day because I can't wait until our next payday, payday isn't until the 31st, and I need it for day care that week, so she needs to make it right this coming week. I'm confident she will. :thumbsup2 She's notorious for being horrible at her job, but we're shorthanded in my department because one of us 3 secretaries just quit, so they really can't afford NOT to keep us remaining 2 happy. ;)

Thought of all of you, all day yesterday....working on my PC scrapbook. Had 8 hrs to scrap & stopped while I was doing the Crossing day. (even got to talk to 1 Thief ;))

Ian - sounds like DL is what the Dr ordered. I know you've had so much else on your mind, but as Deb said - hopefully this will recharge your batteries (atleast to hold you through to October). It's great that you get to see Bubba & V too.

Holly - good luck w/ the cleaning schedule - more power to you :)

Deb - cut the ties....no need for that type of negative person in your life. Did the kid ever get home?

Deborah - you counting down yet??? :goodvibes

Hi Mandy!
Hi Michelle!
Hi Maz!
Hi Shannon!
Hi Gydell!

Didn't mean to leave anyone out - Hi to everyone!!
Hi Monica!!! Sounds like you're still headache free! :woohoo:

So I've come to find out that both she and my uncle use the same profile....he was very upset that I posted pictures of his brother and not him. OMG Grow Up!! He called me on my cell this morning to disown me and curse at me to the point of abuse. I was in tears. He didn't let me get a word in and then hung up on me. I privately messaged my cousins and talked and vented. Now I feel a little better. He would NOT do this if my mother was alive. I'm just dropping it like a hot potato at this point. I deleted his wife from my friends list and that's that! I may have to change my cell phone number, we'll see.
:scared1::scared1:

Wow, what a jerk! He and his wife certainly deserve each other. They can go be miserable together.

Busy day. Went out of town and back for a pool party at one of Tyler's cousins' house, then dropped him at his dad's. Wanted drop him and run because he was CRABBY and WHINY all day, but stepmom cornered me, needed to talk baby stuff, and it took me over a half hour to get out of there. It's really fine with me though, she just needed some extra advice and reassurance. She's told me she feels like a rotten mom because the pediatrician got on her about getting Victoria on solid food. She saw my surprised look and told me she didn't know she was supposed to start that already. In fact, she was against giving her birthday cake yesterday because she's never had any solid food, let alone any sugar. She says she thought that babies can't have solid food until they have all their teeth. I politely directed her to google so she can find tons of info on this stuff, and told her Tyler started solid foods when he was about 9 months old, she asked me what I can give her, and I told her just about anything everybody else is having for dinner, just chopped in tiny pieces so she has a variety. I told her there is bone under the gums, so babies just gum everything up and it works just fine. Then she's worried about the mess and can't stand any mess, and I told her she's GOT to suck it up and DEAL WITH IT. I ended up having to be firm (not pushy or rude though), and she told me "OK, I just wanted to make sure what other people told me is right." :headache:

That woman needs to use some common sense. Good grief! I sort of feel a little sorry for her for how clueless she is. :sad2: I can't believe nobody in her family, especially her own mom or stepmom, haven't given her books on baby stuff. I might pick up one that covers the basics and tell her I "found it" and thought she might like it, but I don't want to offend her.

Wow... now I feel like Morticia Adams... :rotfl::rotfl: Must go cut some blooms off the roses...

It's good that you were here for her... obviously she didn't have anyone teach her what to do. Feel good that she trusts you to confide in you. :thumbsup2

Off to clean the guinea pig cage! :goodvibes

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

I'm going to go eat dinner now...

Notice I'm not giving up any of my days the week of Thanksgiving. I've got my priorities in order.

By the way, I'm thinking we should go here for dinner one night when you're in Chicago:

http://www.hamburgermarys.com/chicago/

Ohhhhh me likey!! They even have boozy fat fruity drinks. I say YES!

Don't give up your Thanksgiving. You put way too much into it and everyone loves it. Besides, Me and John are coming!! Haha!

Thanks Holly. That's kind of how I felt....so that's what I did.

Because we're going early, it will be better....less crowded. John likes that too. So maybe Tyler will like it when he gets there. Hopefully.
