Ken & I are getting into the packing and planning for our cruise. The couple with regularly play boardgames with has decided to come on the cruise too, so that should add to the fun . I ended up getting a bunch of new cruising clothes yesterday. I splurged on a dress for formal night that isn't super fancy, but is my favourite colour (royal blue!) and then the next store got 6 items for less than that one dress (some great sales) so now I'm mostly set. And still a month to go

Brace yourself folks...we're all getting hit with a blizzard of a snow storm with white out conditions because of the high winds. Take caution. Some people will get an ice storm on top of the snow.

Well, everyone except you west coasters and desert girls...canadians and overseas. The rest of us beware!

The Northeast can expect it to start overnight tomorrow and all day on Wednesday.

Well, car has been towed and is getting fixed. Ouch, the cost is going to hurt but at least it wasn't the transmission so I am thankful for that.

My brother got very good news today! He had surgery for prostate cancer a few weeks ago and got the all clear today He just needs to have bloodwork checked every few months.

It's been a very good day

Hello. Arrived here at SSR safe and well at about 6pm. We had been up from about 4.45am our time(11.45pm yesterday Eastern). Now about to shower and get to bed. We will have been awake for going on 23 hours by the time we turn the lights off! No point going to bed earlier because of the time change we will wake up at silly o'clock as it is.

Will post tomorrow when hopefully I will be sensible!!!

Heavens no! Lots to do. We have selected and reserved our B&B in London. Other decisions have been made, but poor Monica is burried at work due to the bad weather and has not been able to play with her vacation stuff. A mess of stuff will come together over the next few days.

Still don't know what to do in Cadiz. Have a group private tour arranged in Madeira. Will just take a cab to the top of the rock in Gibralter, then after that hang out on the plaza maybe and watch all the tourists go by. Barcelona will be the hop-on-hop off bus. At least that's the though at this moment in time!

We are checking out theater options in London (which reminds me....I have links Moncia sent that I haven't looked at yet).

Got on a list for Palo brunch private dining (finally got enough people, yeah!).

AND...I've already lost 3 pounds! (of course, they were 'newish' pounds so I haven't broken new ground yet...

Mom's in a crazy cleaning mode... not sure why... but she "Claire" cleaned the living room today...

Claire is my sister and is a neat freak... when she comes to our house she won't stay here because it's not clean enough for her... (she has a cleaning lady...)

& Claire isn't coming to visit...

I'm not sure why... it has to signal something... usually she starts her cleaning in the walk in closet right before company is coming... not like anyone else will see it...

If she starts the closet tomorrow I have to worry...

AND... she just bit my head off when I joked about taking the garbage out...

The next couple of days should be interesting I think...
