Michelle, that river ice is wicked. Be careful. It's very cool though. Thanks for that.

Ian, there apparently still exists lunacy in the world. I will just stay away from such unfriendly places and suggest you do the same.

Marilyn, that's the best news ever that you got from the doctor. It's good to know you get a thumbs up for your health. I bet you lost a lot of weight too, not being able to eat. What are your restrictions now? I know that you can't have anymore alcohol, but you'll always be an Honorary Champagne Girl!

Shannon, how sweet of Kaleigh to decline her marriage proposal based on fashion. So glad she has her priorities right. She's a real girly girl.

Welcome back G and Steph....great to see you guys here.

Tammy, you look amazingly good. Everything you're doing is working for you. Good for you!

Hi Deborah, Hi Kaz, Hi three amigos, Hi everyone.:hippie:

Holly, I read about Tyler's bad day at school recently and how he was 1 million times better than in the past. YEAH Tyler. I'm so happy for him and proud of you for handling it so great. You really are the best mom and he's the best kid.;)

Sorry you haven't been too good Deb, but at least you had hours of tv to watch!!!!

I have lost a little weight, but it is a drop in the ocean really!!! It is surprising how little one loses. Guess age is against me nowadays. Of course they were sort of feeding me in hospital with the IV too. My abdomen was swollen with the Pancreatitis - I looked 8 months pregnant all the time I was in hospital and my trousers were tight when I came home, which was a bit of a shock after not eating for over a week!!! That has gone now so just left with the normal fat!

No other restrictions apart from alcohol fortunately. I do miss the wine, and as much as that makes me sound a bit of an alcoholic, John and I only shared a bottle a week, and not every week at that. I didn't drink any other alcohol apart from that odd champagne on the cruises!! I just like a glass of wine with a meal, that's all. Ah well, a very small price to pay and when you think what some people have to cope with I'm content with that.

Yes, I've been watching TV shows and snoozing in between. I think I'm more tired after this cruise because I got sick and because I didn't take my steriods. I took them on the first day, then tossed them with my cookies and didn't take anymore afterwards. So I'm exhausted still.

That was all fluids. You get a lot of those in the hospital. I remember after my leg surgery, I didn't eat at all because the meds they were giving me made me sick. I couldn't keep anything down. They didn't administer IV to feed me. After changing the meds, I was able to eat toast and tea. I gained 13 pounds when I left the hospital after about 5 days. I couldn't believe it.

I know how you feel. I had cellulitis in my ear when we visited my cousin for Christmas. I was taking vicodin so even though we brought two bottles of champagne with us, I could not drink any of it because of the meds that I was taking. I can't imagine giving it up for good. That would definitely make me sad. So I do understand your bottle of wine with John. That's not being an alcoholic. That's just liking wine.

It's a white winter wonderland outside. We're due to get about an inch. Just enough to make everything white and pretty.

I hope it snows more when Kris gets here in two weeks. He wants to go snowboarding.

Sea day for the Three Amigos today, so I bet a leisurely breakfast, lunch, or even brunch if it is offered in Lumieres!!!! Plus a nap or two!!!

Mmmmm, just 4 weeks today and we will be enjoying that too!!!!:banana::banana:

I think you have the right idea Marilyn....waiting until Spring to go on your cruise. I went during Winter for the first time and it was too cold. I like the warm sun while cruising. My next cruise will be October. That will be better. But then in 2011 I'll be cruising again in January on the Dream. Oh well, I'll make an exception.

Thanks Deb, I hope your leg is better real soon!

You're welcome Tammy. The leg is the same as it always is. We're still working on getting rid of this infection and trying to keep it from coming back. Lots of work involved. I hope it goes away real soon too. Thanks.:goodvibes

I agree in the main there Deb, though our first ever cruise was a 4 night in early December, and it was very hot. Mind you I think January has more chance of colder weather. This year however was a big exception with such a cold spell.

I think early December was better than January. Even the Three Amigos look cold on Grand Cayman. January is very iffy. I suspect when I get off the Dream I'll be going into the cold again to Alaska. At least I'll have the packing down for cold weather.

Shouldn't that be Three Amigas?

I'm crushed. I've only just found out that there's no more free valet parking at resorts for DVC members.

It is such a pain isn't it? Do you still have the TIW card because at least you can use that for free valet parking at the places you are eating at?

Yes, I do. I am going to have to renew it, along with our APs. Both expire at the end of April.

I have to phone Member Services and renew our AP's tomorrow, but we won't get the TIW card this time as it isn't worth it for this year. Last year we had so many weeks there and a few meals with our daughter, son in law and their 4 children, so it did save quite a bit.

If it were just the two of us I'd do the same thing, however this year we have the big family trip in October when all the riff-raff from the UK are coming over.

Well it is definitely worth it then.

I am sure you are going to leave some riff- raff over here - there are far too many to travel!!!

What dates are you in WDW?

Our dates changed slightly because the flights are cheaper from the UK, but now we are there from October 9th to 23rd.

Are you going to be around? Aren't you dying to see Sukie as a father and grandfather?
