Tornado warning in Phoenix tonight! Airport has cancelled flights for tonight! Our flight is at 10AM tomorrow....things darn well better be OK by then!

Cheri is about 45 minutes away and we decided to just grab drive through and get our behinds down to the hotel so we can be off the streets asap!

Shannon got her vacation time approved. Grandparents are gonna look after the kids.

so it looks like we can now book our spring break vacation to Vegas in March.



Look at booking it tomorrow when I get home or Friday at the VERY latest... I'm ready to go NOW!!

I'm going next month with Sara and Trevor It will be my first trip to Vegas, I can hardly wait! Not a gambler at all, but I will enjoy seeing the sights.

Thanks Ian, I don't have an iPhone (yet) but I do appreciate the effort.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I did have a great day. My new office co-workers got me balloons, cupcakes and a new plant for my desk. Tonight we had dinner with family and the Elephant bar.

And my new job....as Bubba said, the first few days were very overwhelming. But each day it gets better. Unlike the person that replaced me, the person I replaced was let got two days before I started, so needless to say I have a lot of end of year stuff to finish. I made sure that all the end of year stuff was done at the old job. I spend my today doing payroll reports and W-2's. One bummer is that I can't FB at work. The site is blocked, but I can dis, but I'm so busy that I don't really have time.

My nephew called me last night...the Marine. He said Aunt Debbie guess what.....I'm going to Japan for the next two years. WOW! How awesome is that. I'm so very happy for him.

The first thing John said was, tell him to visit Tokyo Disney and let us know all about it.

Jackie and I are waiting to board...our boarding is delayed because they're waiting for a flight attendant to arrive! But there's no rain falling and no wind blowing that I can see...hopefully we'll be in the air soon!!!

I'm out of work at 330pm today....need to stop by BJ's to get the Rosa Regale for $16 (for that Jackie woman), the bank for some cash & then it's off to the airport to pick them up.

This morning I got a phone call from Mrs. Bush's. It seems like they got a call from Ray's sister Arlene telling Mrs. Bush's that their brother Eddie died last night. Mrs. Bush's called me to ask what to do. I told them not to tell Ray. He didn't see or talk to his brother. His day to day has not changed. Why tell him and then he'll be a problem to handle. He'll be depressed and grieving. That's going to be hard for him mentally. I would rather he stay happy and remain in La La land.

Do you think I made the right decision? What would you do?

I'm so happy for you all....and NO ONE is allowed to get sick!

Mon, I looked up the airfare for me and John to do Tokyo....$3k. I could cruise on just the airfare alone. Also, we don't fly well....it's a 12ish hour flight out of Chicago. I don't think John and I are capable of such hard travelling. We like easy and simple. It would be worth it once we got there, but it would be horrible getting there and back. We just decided that we'll never fly into MCO again. It's too big. If we fly again we'll go into Sanford. We like it much better. Of course, after just flying down to FL....John says we'll drive next time. We couldn't stand packing and repacking suitcases for checking and searching. We're spoiled by driving. We throw it in the car, go and don't even think about it.

Guess we'll just wait for the Magic to go there!

I think under the circumstances you made the right decision... if he were better cognitively... then that's another issue...
