It's good to have such great neighbors.

I'm glad the QM landed safely and she's off doing her royal errands.

I'm in an impatient wait mode. I'm completely ready to do Christmas and to leave for vacation.....neither one is here yet.....so impatiently I wait and wait. I need it to get here or I need something else to do while I wait. I'm just taking care of the leg right now....wrapping twice a day, exercise bike, soaking and scrubbing, pumping and elevating. It keeps me busy. But I would rather be cruising and I'm ready to go. haha.

Deb, if you lived close enough, I'd ask you to come wrap all my presents. I hate wrapping presents and am totally procrastinating. Have to get it done before I go to bed though because tomorrow night is our Christmas Eve. Santa comes a day early this year since Tyler will be at his dad's on Christmas.

My mom and my aunt are coming Christmas Eve sometime in the afternoon for our Christmas get-together. My mom is terrified because I told her I'd have food. I assured her the mice are gone (at least I think) and that I've cleaned and disinfected everywhere with Lysol. She said, "The mice are the LEAST of my worries." Yes, it's no big secret that I DO NOT COOK! I'm cheating and the foods are pre-cooked and frozen, so I'm basically just popping everything into the oven to heat it up, but she doesn't know that. And tonight when I stopped at a grocery store to pick up a pumpkin pie, there was a deal where you buy one pie of any kind and get a Dutch Apple pie for $1.99. Can't pass that up!

Oh.....by the way.....I didn't get Christmas cards out in the mail until TODAY. Sorry everybody! Nobody will get them by Christmas.....so it will be a little holiday cheer around New Year's Day.

Holly - you are getting really good at dealing with the mice! its too bad they are so tough.

Yeah, I know.... This one was strange because when I saw it, I didn't jump or freak out, it actually looked like Tyler had laid a toy one there to trick me. Took me a while to realize it was real because he doesn't have any toy mice. But it sure was horrifying to see it lying right next to a present. I think that was #13. I'd think the whole family should be gone by now. I'm not seeing any new evidence, so hopefully that was the last one.

Just a quickie to let you know I'm thinking of you all!!!

Marilyn!!! home!!! I was so worried you wouldn't be home for Christmas so glad you're back safe and sound in Mitchell Mansion. Take care...

Deb - you crazy concierge Queen!!! What an amazing surprise for King John!!! You are going to love concierge, my friends - believe me, it's hard to go back... Don't forget to go to the meet n greet when you get on board. It's in Sessions or Diversions or whatever the piano bar is called. There's also a cocktail party on Nassau day - well, there was when we double-dipped on the Wonder back in May 2008. If I think of anything else concierge-y, I'll pass it on!!!

Holly - a rodent round the tree!!! Ugh!!! Fingers, toes, legs, arms and eyes crossed it was the last one!!!

Michelle - I hope you feel better soon. Flu is horrid! I've had it once in my life, about 20 years ago and I was ill for about a month - I even lost around 14lbs! And the effects were far-reaching as it really messed around with my appetite and tastebuds - so much so that I couldn't eat meat or drink milk for around a year afterwards... Weird!!!

And love to Monica, Jackie, Nana, Cheri, Sir Ian, Deborah, Kathe, Shannon and everyone who pops by...

It's a busy day here in Taylor Towers - a little something we like to call 'Sophiemas'!!! 27 years ago today a wonderful Soph-isticated young lady came into our lives and every year we get to celebrate - how cool is that???!!!

So Richard is quitting the office at midday (and he won't be going back until January 4th 2010!!! ), coming home and helping me finish getting the house ready for the festive season. Then we're all off to a lovely French restaurant of Sophie's choosing to celebrate her birthday in style!!!

Happy, happy day....

It's very quiet here. I wonder why. Could it be the Federal Holiday on Friday?

Things are very quiet at Eastwood Manor, well sort of. There's been some stuff going on with Sukie's column, but that's another matter.

We're really not doing a whole lot of anything. I've been mainly playing video games.

I think today, if we can muster up the energy, we are going to see "The Princess and the Frog." If we can't muster the energy we'll just blob out at home and I'll spend a few hours doing remedial carnage.

Oh....will check the mail on my way out this afternoon (am I the only person who doesn't check their mail every day?).

No, the news room is busy cuz of the accident, but breaking news only impacts me when the commercials don't run! That area is the same patch I drove through to go to the DCL house party a while back, and the rain showers turned in to a storm where I could hardly see for several miles. I think there's a sever weather corridor in that part of the desert.

I will go into the office from 1-3:30P to make up for the time I took off Monday afternoon, then head over to the airport to pick up Miss Dianne.

Like Richard, after a few hours of work today I'm off until 1/4!

Happy Birthday to Miss Sophie. Ah, I remember 27...it was a pretty good year! Wish I had that energy (and flexability!) back.

Time to grab the clean sheets out of the dryer and make the bed. And though it may not be cost affective, I think I'll open up the house a little later and let in a batch of fresh air. I think it is still going to be a little chilli still today. Yesterday was cold and rainly, but I see patches of blue this morning.
