Switch to the Alaska cruise!!!

Here, a map, just so Nan, Karen and Deb can find their way to our house on Thanksgiving.

Thank you, Ian. And Western, Brown Line duly noted...

However I'm sad to say that this year we'll have to be there in spirit rather than body. Richard's got the hard task of appraising employees in Dubai that week and I've cadged a lift for a few days in the sun!!! ;)

But hold that sigh of relief in check - I've wanted to visit Chicago for a long time so you never know, we might pop round for a cup of sugar during 2010... :rolleyes1

Karen,

Chicago is addicting. Our friend Martin who lives in Cambridge has been flying over for Thanksgiving for about the last 15 years. It's a given every year that Martin is coming over and of course, he's going to be here this year as well.

I think that's what we love about the holiday, we see so many friends ... Well, that and the free flowing wine and people rolling around laughing.

tell me who so I can :snooty: to him (or her) okay, we'll chat about it on FB later. I have to find out who this trouble maker is

Switch to the Alaska cruise!!!

::yes:: what she said :thumbsup2

We are home from a great day downtown. Everytime we go down there I wonder why we don't do it more often. I really enjoy the grime of city life :thumbsup2 okay, really the look, feel, sounds and smells, ya know the grime

We marched in the Dia de Los Muertos parade. Molly got to carry a puppet. Which is a huge skelton. Some pics on FB now, I'll up load from my camera in a bit and post a few here. It was a great day. Lots of fun and visited with old teachers from elementary school, 2 new babies from teachers just a great day out :woohoo:

Ian, I was hoping that line would show my stop and I told the kids about our plan. City to city lines around the world in the moment kinda like a transporter :thumbsup2

We also saw a new Star Trek exhibt at our Tech Museum. Willie and I might try to check it out soon :thumbsup2

Then we're also hoping that Cheri and Monica and Gydell and Vicki get onboard. So we'll have to see how many will be at our table. I hope everyone gets to make it that wants to.

I think Cheri said no to the inagural, as she'll only have gotten off the PC aroun the 20th.

Still hints of rumors that we (those on the Wonder and possibly the Magic) may see the Dream before her inagural. :confused3

Bought more lottery tickets (3) this weekend to see if a last minute trip to Chicago could happen. No luck :sad2:

Now I'm off to look at the artist renderings of the oceanview staterooms because I don't remember noticing the BUILT IN SEATING in the porthole window!

Oh.....and I need to call Venetia and Bubba....better do that NOW>

.

And I'm the :ccat: because I keep fading in and out!

Hope everyone had a good Halloween. I was at Peg's and after the kids stopped coming by (and I could get Peg of Farm Town) we watched "84 Charing Cross Road". I hadn't seen that since I saw it in the theater!

.

I LOVE THAT MOVIE... it's a true story you know... I read the book too...

It's only 2:00 p.m. and I've already been out to the bank and off and back from Petco to get food for TnT.

Today was my first Sunday of only having 2 meetings and I'm loving it. I was back home by 11:30. I feel like I have the entire day to myself.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We're 2 blocks away from the Western station on the Brown Line.

It doesn't matter what line you're on... Deb's gonna see the PINK line and and take a detour...

:sad2:That's a shame, Marilyn - maybe they'll drop out... ;) Love that smiley tho'... :thumbsup2

Don't think they will drop out, we just need people to stand up to him.

I bet Jackie knows who it is!!!

I love cities too. We keep meaning to get back to SF, but it won't be for some time now.

Good Morning Thieves!!! I'm anxiously waiting to hear from Sue Ellen at DU to find out if I'm booked on the Dream maiden voyage. The phone lines opened at 8:00 am. I remember booking Alaska. I called at 8 am and held for an hour and a half and then got through. By the time I hung up I was on the phone until 10 am. I know it takes a while. But I'm so anxious to hear already.

Wow, the sun just popped out. That's the first time that I have seen it in a week. I really missed it. It's wonderful to have it back.

Thanks Kaz, took your advice and I'M IN. I'm on the Dream's maiden voyage....oh what a thrill! I got the SR that I requested too. I'll be in 5150 which is port side aft. It's the last room in the row just up from the elevators. I think it's a category 5E.

I just rechecked my description and it's a navigator's verandah. I didn't realize that when I requested it. Oh well, at least it's a little less expensive and I'm on the boat. I have to see what the price is before I try to request a stateroom change. Also, it's going to book solid so I doubt that I'll be able to change it. Guess it doesn't matter. At least I'm sailing.

Someone's saying that a Cat 5A is $3432.34 for two adults so your 5E should be cheaper if that's any use to you...

We're actually booked on the B2B - I have no idea if Sophie will be able to make it but for a holding deposit of $400 I thought I'd chance it... If not, I have a ressie I can transfer to the Inaugural Fantasy cruise when that opens... :goodvibes It's all good!!!

Thanks Kaz, that's not a bad price considering the boat that we're on. I'm happy about it. I just wish I had an open verandah.

What Cat did you get? Do you have a full description of it?:rolleyes1
