I feel fine today, but I have a bit of a sore throat, a runny nose and intestinal issues. I hope I'm not coming down with anything. If I do I got it from the lady that was here yesterday. She's probably a carrier of all kinds of germs. She and her mom both work in healthcare and she's single and young and lives at home. I hope it's just a cold and nothing more.

So I got these in the mail yesterday for Alaska:

John said, "Are you kidding me, I thought that you were joking." I told him that a lady never jokes about coordinating her outfits. I'm wearing these to the Champagne Girls on the Alaska cruise. I'm not kidding.


Then I'm going to purchase this velvet with satin trim wrap for formal night on the Alaska cruise.

Come on people the clock is ticking...only 1 1/2 years until this cruise. Gotta get organized and start planning.....hahahaha.

I just figure that if I start buying one item at a time now I should be good to go when the time gets here....that and any excuse to shop for cruises.

I think it's just a bad cold coming on. My head is really stuffed and I'm congested. I feel like I have a lump in my throat when I swallow. I'm getting something. As long as it's not the flu, which is supposed to come on suddenly and this did not so I think I'm fine. That's good. But it's in the head, throat and chest. Yuck!

I need chocolate pudding. Fortunately I have some and points available. That will make me feel better. It always does when I'm sick.

Thanks Holly. I read on FB about Tyler's day today. I'm so sorry for both of you. Do you think it could be the fact that you changed the meds recently? Have you asked Tyler if he felt different after you changed them? It must be so hard for him. But he needs you to set the boundaries for what is correct behavior and what is not. Just wish there was a way to teach him where he learned easier.

Definitely use the professionals' insight. Ask his doctors everything. That's why they get paid the big bucks...coz they know the answers. They will help both of you. Hugs.

Sorry about the cold Deb. I hope it turns out to be mild. I don't think you can blame the lady the day before as it takes about 3 days for a cold to develop!! I was just sneezing as I typed that!!!

Hope everyone that's feeling unwell, starts feeling better soon.
I got an email about the "Heinie" flu yesterday that recommends everybody regularly gargle with salt water to kill the bacteria before it starts to make you feel bad, instead of just starting to do it, once you feel yucky. It also recommended regularly drinking hot beverages as they help wash bacteria out of the throat and into the stomach where the acids kill them. Cold beverages aren't as good at washing away the bacteria. Now since this was an email advice thing, I don't know if any of its accurate, but the gargling one sounds logical to me!

I left work early yesterday as Shaelyn called me from school wanting to be picked up since her stomach hurt. She had a fever and some coughing the night before and woke up twice in the night complaining about her stomach. But the next morning she said she felt okay and fever was gone so she went to school, but had asked me to write my work number down in her daytimer so she could easily call if she needed to. So we had a quiet afternoon and evening at home, and today she seems fine (at least for the few minutes I saw her before leaving for work).
Today is a "daddy-day" for the girls and its a pro-d day for the school, so they are hanging out together and I'll meet them at Subway for lunch
This weekend, I'll be putting together their Halloween costumes. Shaelyn's a fairy and Kaleigh's a black cat.

Greetings earthlings.

I have a busy weekend ahead. On Saturday morning I'm subbing for a leader again. Quite close to our house.

Then, I have to take Mrs. Fezziwig in to be winterized.

My Sunday routine is going to be changing soon. I'm being cut back from 3 meetings to 2 on Sunday mornings. Instead of 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am meetings, I'll just have 2 meetings at 8:30 and 10:00 am. The hope is that this will force members into either of the two meetings and by increasing numbers the meeting energy will be increased. It means a bit less money for me every Sunday, but it also means 2 less hours, so I'll be home earlier.

More progress on the Thanksgiving front, we will now have between 8 and 10 guests. My goal is to finalize the menu this weekend.

I'm going to change Ella's name and start calling her LOLA...for the song, whatever Lola wants....Lola gets. Not only does she think that she owns this house, but when she wants something she is so insistant and doesn't give up so we give in and she gets what she wants.
