Hey Ian, would we p i s s them off if we made our own thread as one B2B LA-Alaska? Then there would be three. aha. I think more DISers are doing both than not. Then people would have a choice as to which thread(s) they wanted to participate in.....and it would certainly make it easier for us.

We'll get Nana to do it. She's good at it. At the Champagne Girls tasting one lady showed up because she got a message on her phone but she wasn't sure if it was a mistake or not. Nan took care of it in a flash....she asked, "Are you a DISer? No, then it's a mistake...you can leave." And that was it, issue resolved. She's effective that Nana!

Deb, Ian and I chatted about this over the weekend. Perhaps I'll just create one for those of us that want it. But we'd still need a nosey body to make sure we aren't missing anything on the other one, right

I've raised the issue of one thread several times on both of the threads for LA-Vancouver / Vancouver-Alaska. If you look at the roster 72% of the people on the thread on doing it as a B2B.

It really is silly to me to have people jumping through hoops checking 2 threads and posting the same thing on both threads.

My suggestion was to treat it as one itinerary (LA-Vancouver-Alaska) with 2 segments (LA-Vancouver and Vancouver-Alaska).

People would then indicate that they were joining for one or both of the segments.

The people who started the thread are dead set against the idea of one thread for some imagined "stepping on toes." Which is so very odd to me, seeing as 3/4 of the people are doing it as a B2B.

If a B2B thread is started, I'll focus on that one, because the 2 threads are to me just redundant.

I'm all for giving folks the choice to choose.

Would the democratic approach work? Send a PM to the 2 thread leaders to give them a heads up and play nice, then post a poll thread putting Ian's idea out there, and let people vote/comment.

There does seem to be some strong personalities on the repo/Alaska threads with various groups that have cruised together before. I think its going to be interesting to see how things all mesh together.

Absolutely....I like Shannon's idea of doing it diplomatically....maybe use a poll and everyone votes. But we MUST do it or else they will lose more than half of us doing the B2B.

The only thing I would add is to welcome the one leg onlys....like Kaylee and Lisa W. Let's ask them if they would be offended to take part in one B2B thread. As long as we don't bite....(slapping however is permitted, except on Mondays)....and we include them in our discussions then I'm all GO FOR IT!

I think we should all get along nicely and play together...in one unified place!
