I was sad today but someone from Canada who will be sailing with us next year, she emailed me and told me that secret port room is available.. YES, I got it and that make me SMILE

As she told me last week that one secret room was available but someone got it then she promised me that she keep eye on it... oh nice of her..

That make me happy now

Though we're booked on the B2B I probably won't really engage in the thread until about 6 months out. Which is exactly what I did for the PC cruise, right now it's just too far out to take very seriously and get much of my attention.

To make matters worse, the thread owners are dead set against treating it as one trip with two segments, so checking 2 threads for the cruise is just plain goofy.

In about 5 weeks I've got to get my tush in gear to book the family vacation in 2010 (which will take the place of the TA cruise).

Sukie's daughter will be coming over and we'll also have some of the grand kids. I really sort of hate planning things so far out in advance. I don't like the idea of living in the future, but with DVC I need to get into gear as soon as the booking window opens up.

You remind me of my dear good friend as she always tell me off for booking early which is too far ahead

Well something to look forward to... as I like Disney cruise which is in my heart but she cannot see it as she said she will never on cruise ah well... that is her life...

I understand that Sukie's daughter will be coming over to Florida? so you both need time for them too...

I think everybody have different mind...

But I cannot win as my 5 ladies and I are booking to New York 18 months advance planning and now it is 8 weeks to go... I sometime don't understand why she said like that about cruise...

I have to admit, I'm not loving the other threads for mine either. Just a bunch of other people talking about stuff that I don't carry about. I care about us here

That's funny because I find myself skimming through my PC thread and thinking the same thing! But then I slow down and read posts from our people.

There are a few people over there who wish Pirate night would get replaced with some other theme and they don't want pirates on the group logo.

We actually managed to get a room on the PC cruise!!! So we aren't in the lifeboat this time. Only gty in the category we originally wanted, so went up a cat and got one of the last few rooms. I'm sure more will come available though as the realisation of paying $600 per person deposit sinks in, then the Dream's itineraries coming out. With the 10% off from booking onboard it is costing the same as last year for what would have been the next cat up. I'm happy!!

Having said that, we might not actually do the cruise!!!

YAY!!! I'm glad you got booked and really hope you end up going! Heather, Tom, & Bethany had to get a cat 5 because all cats 6-12 (or however the new system goes) were sold out. She's on a waitlist for a downgrade.

I had it originally booked too....in case we did the cruise. As it turns out we're not doing it and have already changed it. But I booked onboard and was quoted $7,100 for a cat 6 and for the May 08 I booked thru DU and paid $4,900 for a cat 6. That was one of the reasons why we didn't do this cruise. The B2B is costing us $6,000 total for a cat 6.

But the most important reason why we picked the B2B cruise is that we wanted to go where our friends are going. It's way more fun going with them.

Holy cow, that's a big price jump! Yikes!!!

Hi All!

Glad to see so many are booking on the B2B repo/Alaska. We would have liked to do that too, but had the issue with the kids being pulled out of school.

So we booked the 6/21 Alaska instead. We're very excited to be traveling on the Wonder, since we've only been on the Magic so far. We got to book the same cabin as our 2004 Western, though on the Wonder instead of the Magic

Daniel and I are on this cruise.....Daniel will have to miss the first 3 days of his last semester of college....I still have to think about this...but I am booked in a CAT 6.
