Here's the Bon Voyage cake from Citrico's:

The gold you see in the background are champagne glasses.

The back-side:

The aftermath!

We had the cake presented at the begining of the meal, so we could enjoy it as a centerpiece for the table. Needless to say, some of those chocolate shavings around the cake didn't make it all the way to dessert!

.

oh that was beautiful but shame to ate it

may I ask you the question who gave it to you or did you order it or youpay extra??

Deborah, that cake was a special order (Disney has a cake 'hot line'!) and we paid extra for it. The price came out to the same as what an individual dessert at Citroco's would cost for eight people.

Here's an initial Panama Canal cost from the thread this morning:

Cat 6 -2 adults fare only aprox 7600 dollars !

That's about $3,000 MORE than my Cat 7 for the WBTA! Pam and I might be sticking with that now, once I check out air fares to Spain! Will wait to see what my TA gets for me, and see if Pam wants to do Panama without a verandah, then will decide. :sad2:

Here are some Alaska and LA/Vancouver repo prices:

Alaska 5/3/11 (2) adults cat 11B with 10% off for transferring existing reservation, no insurance $2281.26. $300pp down payment.

Platnum members for this cruise (not sure about the others) get a $350 OBC!!!!! That's a surprise perk!!!!!!!

Edited to add the above prices did include transfers of $98 rt for 2. DCL does not have their air program in place yet and you can be placed on a wait list

4/27 repo:
Good prices!

Cat 7A, 2 A, no transfers or insurance. Total price $1926.90
Per Adult price $929, per adult taxes and fees $34.45

Cat 11A, 2 A, no transfers or insurance. Total price $1246.90 (fare and taxes)

.

Got my Alaska quote:

8/30/11
Cat 7 Nav Verandah (7620 partial obstruction)
2A (10% ob booking discount) no transfers, no insurance, All taxes and fees:

$3479.26 ($300 obc DCL/TA)

Now to research some other cruise lines for comparisons.

Jackie...besides price, make sure to compare itin. as well. For Alaska, DCL's route is not the best. Glacier Bay is the best if you are going to AK.....we did Tracey Arm this past cruise and it was beautiful, but everyone says that Glacier Bay is so much better. Just a thought....

still waiting to even consider booking anything...just holding out hope that something might be available when I can!

Good morning folks!
We had a nice weekend including a "Evening in Pink" cancer fundraiser event. It was interesting to see so many people dressed up. Many men in pink dress shirts, ladies in every thing from black outfits with pink feathered combs, to a pink prom dress. It was a nice evening, followed by a couple yummy martinis at the hotel restaurant.
The girls stayed at my sisters, and when we went to pick them up, we got the usual "you're too early, why are you here already?" Both girls were dressed up in their cousin Lauren's clothes (she's 12). Kaleigh even told me she wished Lauren was her sister too and that Kaleigh could live at their house, but it would be better if their house was in our town too. :lmao: Maybe I should be insulted, but it was funny!:cutie:

Thanks for the birthday greetings! Glad to hear everybody enjoyed their vacations.

Monica - :grouphug: hope you feel better soon!

Jackie - thanks for sharing pictures of the cake!
(REMINDER TO MYSELF - look at the pictures in post 2959 since I can't see them at work )

Deb - glad your legs are improving!

Holly - I hope your feeling better today about your weight loss attempts. You're welcome to try out the Biggest Loser 8 challenge thread in the WISH section. The new one just started, and I find it interesting to read other peoples answers about what motivates them. For me, my weightloss finally started when I hit the point that I wanted to lose weight more than I wanted the junk food. I've hit a plateau when I've not exercised or eaten good enough to keep losing, but I have kept the 20pounds off from the loss in the spring, and I'm getting more conscientious about my eating & exercising again, so hopefully the scale will start creeping down again. You have proven you can do when you want to!:cheer2: Have you thought about trying karate again? You seemed to be enjoying it in the spring? Maybe your co-worker going to meetings will work for you.

Ken & I are still debating what we are actually going to book. We'd like to do the repo from LA to Van with the first cruise to Alaska, but need to see the real prices and deposits next week to make the final decision.

I really wish Disney would just put the prices out there so people have time to think. But I guess they actually want us to impulse book all the cruises, and then cancel if we change our mind. After all, it just drives the prices up.

Does anybody know if there's a place on line to get the new floorplans for 2011 with the stateroom category changes. Is the difference between 11a, 11b, 11c just ship location?:confused3

I think Disney is going to price the PC repo to keep some people who would have booked and then canceled out...

Plus the Wonder is going over permanently so I think that this is the last PC repo for a while...

We're booked on a B2B, LA to Vancouver, Vancouver to Alaska.

I asked my TA to book the Panama with Daniel Cat 6 and Alaska on 8-2-2011 CAT 4.

I have not heard what I got yet??

Hi Everyone....

We talked about it a bit while you "others" :snooty::snooty: :lmao: :lmao: were gone cruising the carribean...

I am going to change the title of our thread to "Forever Thieves" seeing as new threads for the new WB canal will be popping up...

Please let me know what you think before I do it... (we do have 50 more pages...)
