Glad the storms passed by you. :thumbsup2

We did have fun, stopped for ice cream on the way home and got rained on waiting in line, but that was fun too. Only bad part of the day was how we ended up leaving the water park. We were standing just outside the pool waiting for a raft for us to take up the slide to use, and somehow Tyler's toenail got ripped off his big toe on one foot. He has no idea what happened, but possibly he dragged his foot when taking a step and it got caught on the rough concrete, I don't know. I just know he was screaming all of a sudden! I'd scream too because it was almost the whole nail ripped off, lots of blood, and the nail was hanging there, partially attached. We went up to the lifeguard office and they have a whole setup there for dealing with things like that. They put him up on their table, pulled out an emergency kit, slid gloves on, and snipped the nail off quickly (which made his screams hit earpiercing levels), then put some bandaids on. Poor kid!

How horrible for the little guy. I'd be screaming too!

It was very hot today, up in the 90s. I think it rain a bit, but no big thunder storms,

Frankly I preferred it temperate.

Seen on a UK forum I go on. When you need to go potty(:lmao:sorry) at the cinema.

You and your potty humor... :rotfl:

I must have known that you posted her picture here last night, I was in bed thinking about the best way to get the box of her name sake pieces to you ;) Miss M here cleaned out the little girl stuff over the last few weeks that she wants to pass on to her. She is going to be excited to see her picture. I called her in to see it and she said "She is sooooo cute!" We are going to have fun packing her goodies. I'm going to bring them on the ship with me. I figure it's easier than mailing and I'm sure cheaper too ;)

Thanks for sharing her picture :lovestruc

Off to shop for dinner. We are having friends over to bbque then the kids are bike riding around the block :woohoo: It's getting hot here

Nan... may I suggest leaving Molly's collection of rocks out of the box... could tip the luggage weight a bit...

Afraid not. I got bored after a few minutes and gave up. I just don't have the patience or time for it at the moment.

He'll be back... right about the time they invent cyber plows...

Glad the storms passed by you. :thumbsup2

Ohhhh sorry to hear... but I hope you have some fun bandaids to put on it...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Jackie, I hope you have success in your capri search! I spent hours trying to find a pair of jeans last week for my trip this week, but finally found a pair. I just don't think they make clothing for "real" people...period :headache: I'm not short, but my height is not in my legs and almost all the jeans I tried on were too long. And it seemed 90 percent of them were a very low rise :scared1: :lmao:

Kathe... we wear what they now call "mom" jeans... :rotfl: but personally I'd rather not have my butt hanging out of my pants...

I know it won't help you too much... but I get my jeans and stuff from LL bean and Eddie Bauer... they have all kinds of sizes...

How horrible for the little guy. I'd be screaming too!

Never got out of the 70's today... windows are open tonight... :thumbsup2 but we will be getting the heat tomorrow... :headache:

Wish I had a lake to swim in... :rotfl2:

Hi Michelle!

Yikes! That was quite a storm that just passed through! Still raining and lightening and thundering, but it is definately quieting down. Lost my connection for a few minutes. I have to say goodnight now, I work again early tomorrow. Only 3 more days until vacation though :woohoo:

Hi Kathe!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Getting ready for your trip yet?

Well, I'm trying to get ready for my trip in 4 days. I seem to be getting later and later with packing for each trip I take! And it's not because I have lots of experience and am super organized :sad2: This isn't like me , I'm usually so well prepared well in advance :confused3

We do have Eddie Bauer here but they are super expensive! I refuse to pay $80.00 for a pair of jeans :scared1:

$80????

Must be canadian money... ours are cheaper... they are having buy one get on 1/2 off...

:scared1: Oh, poor Tyler  That must have been so painful, and will be until it grows in again. Sorry he had to end his fun day in that way. I bet the ice cream helped some though ;)

Oh yes, the ice cream helped. And I took him to Sam's Club so he could use his two $20 Walmart gift cards he got for his birthday. He blew his whole wad on a big bucket of little Legos. They're actually meant to make a farm scene, but he told me he doesn't care about that and won't make that, he makes his own creations and just needed more pieces. Apparently my floors needed more pieces too.

At the water park, they offered to give him a candy bar or ice cream and he said, "I just want to get out of here!" He's freaked out because he saw what happened to my leg and is horrified that his toe will get infected. It won't....he heals so quickly.

I knew I shouldn't have posted this. It's beginning to thunder very loudly!

Oh no! I hope it's quick like ours was. The news said 41,000 homes in the area lost power, so I'm hoping that happened at work! ;)

Sorry the water park ended so badly! Hope Tyler feels better in the morning.

He'll be fine. I'll have him wear his Crocs to school tomorrow so his toe won't be smashed in his tennis shoes. That would hurt. I promised him we can go back to the water park soon. :thumbsup2

I know, I would have been screaming too! I felt awful for him. But just before he went to bed, when some neighbors came over to pay him for taking care of their cat during their vacation, he was excited to tell him all about his toenail incident. Yuck!

Ohhhh sorry to hear... but I hope you have some fun bandaids to put on it...
Well, the ones at the water park were plain, but I'm sure he didn't really care at that time, but we have camouflage ones to put on tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Oh, some of our neighbors have been asking us since last summer to join them camping some weekend. I guess they have a motorhome or something, I've never seen it, that they leave at the campground and they go up every weekend and for their week vacation. But the timing just hasn't work out for us yet. This time I told them we'll definitely join them next weekend. :thumbsup2 I don't camp, I don't like camping, don't enjoy being eaten up by mosquitos, but am doing it for Tyler. Maybe I'll be surprised and actually enjoy it a tiny bit.

Holly... 3 words.... DEEP WOODS OFF...

That and I heard at Listerine works... original... spray it around you... but I haven't tested it yet so I can't tell you...

My SIL came up last night to pick up Will at camp... he's thrilled because he was at camp with Canadians... (like they were alien or something...:rotfl:)

:lmao:

Our youngest grandaughter(2 at the end of September) was a flower girl on Friday. She's a right little poser!!!

:scared1: poor Tyler! Glad he got over it quickly.

It was a busy weekend for us. A family day in Barkerville, then game night at home, then I got to sleep in today! (I love Ken!) Then game playing with Ken and Shaelyn, then getting caught up on her and now off to bed.

I'll be back to share photos tomorrow (assuming Ken's put them onto the computer!)
