Michelle, I'm glad you're finally having good weather! You've been needing it for a while.

Our weather forecast was WAY off. Instead of the 90sF today, it's dark, rainy, and probably in the 60s at most. I even saw a couple people wearing jackets! It's not cool enough for jackets, but definitely not the warm weather we were expecting. Oh well......at least I won't get sweaty! And we've been needing the rain.

Quiet day for us too. Paul and Molly are taking books to the recycled book store, then to the can/bottle/plastic recycle place to take all those things, then the dry cleaners. Wil and I are Wii Fitting, ok he is Fitting I'm DISing and FBing, Farming that is

Nothing planned for us this weekend, it's the last time of nothing for 6 + weeks of stuff. Next weekend bbque at the beach, then school starts, my mom's 82nd bday, racing end of the month and all of Sept is spoken for between cruise and racing.

I'm enjoying the nothingness of today

I've decided that tomorrow I'm taking Tyler to the water park here. Sundays are horribly busy there, but we haven't been yet this year and we're running out of time before it closes for the season. And since we've been having such cool temps, tomorrow might be our only hot day for it.

I heard on the news that this past July was the coolest on record. The average temp was 65! Not very summery.

Successfu shopping for me today. New undies on mega sale with coupon AND two cute new tops...including a WHITE one that I've been instructed is mandatory for the embarkation photo. I still want to try and find some capris...very difficult for short round women...they all are too long. May have to break down and take some in for alterations if I can't find any short enough. Will still try Walmart/Target/Kohls for those. Will head back out after the sun goes down.

serves me right for bragging about doing nothing. right after I posted that we all went into the back yard for major yard clean up. Worked on it all day. We are all exhausted. But the lawn is mowed (willie's new job, we let the gardener go last week) when he was mowing the front yard, I flashed on the weekend we closed on this house (that we bought from mom & dad) my dad mowed the lawn for us that weekend. it was a surreal moment, seeing my son mow where my dad had mowed before. Gosh I miss my dad

now, I'm on the couch in my jammies, molly is reading her book in bed, the boys rode their bikes over to kohls to pick up some more shorts for the dude. we went last night and got some great shorts, really cheap and figured it would be smart to get the next size up for EB TA.

She is, and not just because I am biased!! When you are out and about with her, or in a cafe, she smiles at people all the time and they are all just bowled over by her. She is amiable and too cute!

Yet another quiet day... or so it seems that way since the family has all left...

the QM and I have decided what to do for my birthday this year... we are (weather permitting) going to go up to Lake George and take one of the lake cruises, probably on the Minne-ha-ha and then we will have lunch and wander around and maybe even go past the Frankenstein Wax Museum...
