Hi Nan.

Today is my WW weigh in day and I'm really excited. I not only lost the 3lbs that I gained last week, but I pushed past the holding pattern and lost 2 more for a total a 5lbs. lost this week. YEAHHHHH!!!! I know I was being very strict and very careful. Guess it paid off. I'm now at a total of 20lbs lost since start up 2 months ago. That's a good average even with my strays from time to time. I'm very happy.

Hey you know what I noticed....when you lose weight you lose points....when you gain weight you don't gain back points. hmmmm. It doesn't really matter....just an observation. I lost 2 points per 20 pounds. Sounds right. Onward.:cool1:

Excellent, well done!!!:thumbsup2

Good job!

Yes, the first 2 digits of your weight is a component of the points formula (except if you are over a certain weight threshold or under a certain threshold).

You lose a point for every 10 pounds because your body now needs less energy. The lowest you can go in points for a day is 18 points. There is nothing lower than that.

When you reach goal and start maintenance, you add in 2 points a day. The goal is to find the balancing point of adding in points and activity to where you are neither gaining or losing. But one never goes back to the number of points they started with, not unless they are accumulating enough activity points to offset it.

Remember:

Points consumed < than Points Burned = Weight Loss

Points consumed > than Points Burned = Weight Gain

My maintenance points level is 28 points a day, plus I get 35 weekly points and generally earn about 25 activity points a week to use how I want.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

thanks, I did it..now waiting to see if it sends, my picture files are way too big!!!

and for your viewing pleasure...my son, as Daniel's Son

Just make sure you always post one of Molly and one of Will in their own posts! One post per kid :thumbsup2
And I can't see the picture at work, so I'll have to check it again when I get home!

Deb, great news on the loss :thumbsup2

Keep it up or off as it may be ;)

Yup the play is gearing up. I'm working on Publicity, an area I haven't done before and it's pretty fun. I have gotten us on public tv station, into Bay Area Parent Magazine, working on a newspaper article for today, put up some banners, made postcards for delivery at Farmers Market and neighborhood door hanger type. Going to work on Radio spots next.

Don't forget weekly papers, grocery stores, internet. (I love marketing and PR....it was always my favorite part of business.)

I watched them practice last night, it's a cute show, also very quick, about an hour long. I'm anxious to see what the stage will look like when set.
What's the name of it? What genre is it? I love the pictures of Molly on stage.

Paul isn't going to work on the stage this weekend (as he normally has done) since he is getting the kart ready for the race next weeekend, so the stage will be a nice suprise :upsidedow for both of us.

Surprises are fun....GO SPEED GO!!!!

Well, better get out and work on the newspaper article....wish me luck :dance3:

You're doing a great job, have fun!

Tell Miss Molly to break a leg.

That was what I was doing it is a weekly paper, I have to get a contact for our daily next. Yup hit the internet too, but I'm sure there are always more places to publish.

I'm suprised about how much I like this work. It's so not BLACK & White, like accounting, but very rewarding to as you get to "see" your efforts :woohoo:

Once on this Island, Jr.

My Blurb:

Once on This Island, Jr. is a captivating legend of romance between a peasant girl and a rich city boy whom she saves from death. This calypso-flavored re-telling of The Little Mermaid opens on a Caribbean island where villagers comfort a little girl with the story of the orphan Ti Moune, destined to love too much for the human heart to bear. Once On This Island, Jr. delivers melody, love, joy and sorrow in tropical abundance.

Surprises are fun....GO SPEED GO!!!!

Thanks I'll tell him you are routing for him. He loves it that he has DISers and Facebookers getting up to the minute reports on race day. I read him the comments, and he smiles. It's nice to make a kid feel good

Thanks and will do. Willie, not so much on breaking his...he needs it to RACE!!!!

I'm sure you'll see many of Miss Molly soon, she is turning 12 ya know ;)

I don't burn anything yet. Gotta lose a lot more than 20 to get there. It's something to strive towards.

That's a lot of points if you're eating healthy. I would always have leftover points.

It's Wil's play? Sorry, I thought it was Molly's.

I'm sure you have told us, but my mind is forgetful....more so each passing year....haha.

and I think my cute pictures of my cute kids should count as at least double posts!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

hahaha. I love seeing the large photos.

Ian, I'd need a spreadsheet for that diet

I used to think the same thing when I didn't do it and others did. Now I get it. I'm in the zone.

Or better yet a personal chef, oh yeah that's the beauty of those cruises huh :woohoo:

I won't be counting points then. No points on cruises. Just eat sensibly....except for the unlimited bacon. I can always start back on program after vacation....just like having a job.

btw, LisaG....tell Lyla that I knew I loved more than just her name....we're both unlimited bacon lovers. WOOHOO!!!

Remember you didn't know what career path you were interested in pursuing...think about doing a small scale marketing business from home. Maybe something along the lines of special events or charities or the arts.

You would LOVE it and you would be very good at it.;)

WOW it sounds awesome. I would love to see it if I lived closer. Too bad we can't broadcast it over the internet.....pay per view.

He absolutely deserves it!!!

Thanks and will do. Willie, not so much on breaking his...he needs it to RACE!!!!

OK, I'm so confused....are they both in this play?

Willie, no broken legs.....not a good idea.

Deb - I'm sure Ian will be back on and say this better than I will, but here's my spin on it:
You are always burning calories just by being alive! and you are successfully burning more up than you are eating since you are successfully losing weight! :thumbsup2

Its almost the end of the workday. I've got one test I'm waiting for, and then I get to leave early! One of the perks of being salary is getting to leave early when things on running smoothly on sunny Friday afternoons! :cool1::banana:

okay, Ken's making me want to go back to Cabo. He recorded a Sammy Hagar concert, and now I want to go back to his bar in Cabo. :sad2:
But on a positive note, it was motivating while I was on the exercise bike :cool1:
Great job exercising! :goodvibes

Just a quick couple of posts. Work was very, very busy, but I like it that way because the day flies by. :goodvibes

Got home from work to wait for a husband and wife to come over to look at my washing machine. My dryer died the night before we went to Tennessee, my neighbor looked at it when we came home and told me it's too old to be worth fixing (it's close to 20 years old) and has too many problems. So instead of just buying a new dryer, I've really been wanting stackables to save space. We used some on vacation in FL and I loved it! Sure, it's a smaller load, but that's not as important to me as the space I'll be gaining in my laundry area. So the people are going to buy it for her mother. When the husband comes to get it tomorrow, he's even going to drag my dead dryer out to my garage to get it out of the way until I can have somebody pick it up. :thumbsup2

Bad news. I've had my suspicions for 2 months, but I'm now convinced I'm allergic to the guinea pigs. :sad2: Well, not 100% sure, I did lots of research last night and found it could be the type of hay we use or the type of bedding etc., so I need to do some experimenting and see if I can figure it out.

I was trying to decide if it was them or if it was my childhood allergies returning. From about 5 years old until about 10, I had such severe allergies, that my eyes would turn red, water would stream down my face, and my eyes would swell closed. I missed lots of school because of it. And I think that permanently damaged my tear ducts because ever since then, I don't have tears when I cry. I had lots of tests done back then and I was allergic to a wide variety of growing things and stuff flying around in the air.

So when this started up recently, I wasn't sure. The day we got to FL, my eyes cleared up, and then when I woke up at home the morning after we got home, they were red and swollen again. Same with when we went to TN. And I spent more time than usual with the piggies last night, and today when I woke up, my bottom eyelids were so swollen, my eyes were 1/2 closed. There is NO white part of my eye, it's completely red. Our office manager told me I looked like something from a horror movie, and I truly did. It didn't start to clear up until towards the end of the day, and it never fully cleared up. I've been home just over an hour and my eyes are itchy again. :sad2:

So I'm going to try a few different things to see if I can get it under control before considering getting rid of them. The research I did said most people do well with a HEPA filter placed near the cage, so I'll give that a try. :headache:

OK......off for supper!
