Anyone want to guess what it's doing outside my window right now???? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: :sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

:rotfl2:The same thing it's NOT doing here! We had one day of rain all day since we've been back from Florida!

OK, I guess I'm really out of here this time. I guess I DO have to mow today because it would be way out of control when we get back on Tuesday. :headache: Oh well, at least it won't be hot out there mowing. It's still in the 60sF. :thumbsup2

Yes, that and my unexpected house guest (my sister)...

How are you feeling today?:flower3:

Well......thanks to the percocet I've done 4 loads of wash, balanced my checkbook, paid bills, prepared and ate a lovely lunch, showered, medicated the wound, changed the bedding and now I'm thinking about a nap. So I'd say I'm feeling pretty good...:upsidedow...:upsidedow...:upsidedow

Maybe I need some Percocet......NOT!

I had to decide...do I dust and vacuum or do I catch up on the DIS.:confused3:idea:

Oh, here's the part I love.....it rained a bunch of days in a row up north, so Tyler's dad was camping in a tent for 3 nights in the rain! :rotfl2: (yeah, I'm mean, I know!)

It's called LOVE...

I'm glad to see you have your priorities lined up properly. I got in several hours of DISing while Peg was still asleep this morning. :lmao:

Just back from a wonderful meal out. Yum!

Quick post.

Hi Cheri, we've missed you.

Well done Tyler. Glad you had such a great time.

Have we now abandoned the old thread?

Jackie - that was a busy day!

Be back later.

Oh, quick queston.

What do we actually need to pass on to our TA's to link dining? We each need to contact whoever we booked with, with a list of the other parties we want to be linked with, right?

Are lead names and reservation numbers all we need? Do we need cabin numbers?

Thanks.

Uh...I think I might know some of you folks, but I'm not sure....;)

She's friends with that Jackie woman... :hippie:

Maybe I should skip the vicodin and go back to percoset...:rotfl2:

Hmmm! what a tough choice :confused3 Nice to see you again!

We had a lovely meal at a wonderful hotel. It is our favourite place to eat, but a bit expensive. Their website had 2 for 1 offer on their Yorkshire Menu, so we thought we would save some money towards our cruises and go for this.

They use local produce - well from Yorkshire, and tell you where the main items come from and distance travelled. They win awards for this menu perticularly.

So for starters I had Yorkshire Feta Cheese Bruschetta with a very tasty salad. John had pea and mint soup. Local peas that is.

We both had the fillet steak(Yorkshire of course) with Yorkshire blue cheese topping, mashed potato cake and veggies of peas, little onions and mushrooms, with some Yorkshire ham. Best steak I have ever eaten.

Desserts. John had Chocolate Brownie with Pontefract Ice Cream. That is mildly licourice tasting as Pontefract is famous for Pomfret cakes, a very soft and yummy licourice sweet(candy!!!). Unusual, but John loved it. I had local grown Strawberry Cheesecake with ice cream and local berries. Oh my!!!

I had a pot of Yorkshire Tea and we shared some home made petit fours.

For half price it was a bargain. Great and attentive service. I think they are working at getting through this recession. I hope they do. It was busy.

Oh Marilyn, that sounds so yummmmy! I just realized it was 30 years ago that I was in the UK for two weeks in August. The city of York was my favorite spot on the trip (though I did love the Snowdonia area of Wales too).

I don't want anybody to faint....but I actually used my OVEN this afternoon. I can't remember the last time I cooked something in there....it's usually the microwave, toaster oven or the George Foreman grill. I baked a mess of chicken leg/thigh quarters, just seasoned with pepper and paprika, though 90% of the skin won't be eaten in this WW household....just some crispy bits. ;)

Didn't get that nap since I decided to cook....we'll, guess I'll just have to turn in early instead. :confused3
