So remember how elated I was that Brian is home....


I came home from work today and he is not here, not a surprise, I expected him to be out with friends. I did not expect to find...


2 dirty frypans, numerous dirty dishes, an unmade bed, smelly rotten food in the garbage leftover from the road trip :faint: Do they ever grow up :headache:

(when I say they, I really mean just him, Sara would not have left such a mess, unless she left a note to say she'd be home shortly to clean it up :rolleyes:)

I bet you didn't leave them for him to clear up did you?;)

Do they still enforce the no mingling between classes rule?

No, but I bet there are people onboard who would like for that to be the case.:lmao:

My dad's name was Kenneth Vincent - but they called him Vinnie... (and yeah... my parents ARE Barbie and Ken... :upsidedow) (and I have the therapy bills to prove it...:rotfl:)

My Dad, is Donald *Wilson*, went by Don, or as I called him when a neighbor asked me as a child ?what does your mom call your dad? reply"the 10,000 pound Gorilla" HAHA



So when I see them laughing....I'll know that it's Vinnie and Don. :thumbsup2
 
OK, I usually don't ask for things, but I need you all to send the motivation fairy my way. I was doing so great, but lost my WW motivation while on vacation and haven't gotten it back yet. I've gained another pound, so that makes a 6 pound gain. That's STILL a 9 pound loss, but I need to turn around and start going in the right direction again.

Perhaps if I go grocery shopping tomorrow after work and get all the good things I was eating before vacation and if my kitchen is filled up with WW friendly foods, I might get back on track.



I think it's all about the food in the house. When Kris came, we had different food in the house....Chinese, Father's Day leftovers, etc....I didn't gain, but I didn't lose at my last weigh in.

This week I'm upset because I lost Brian and now I'm not tracking. I'm eating steak and baked potato and salad, but I'm not measuring. I know I'm off program and I have to get back. I just don't have the energy to do so right now....but I can't afford to wait much longer.

I think we have to realize that there are times in our lives when we are going to go off program. The key is to not go too far off and get right back on as quickly as possible. Buy the right foods, measure and track. It's an easy program to follow when you put forth the effort.

Oh Jackie, that's perfect!!! I love the turtles and I love the Magic....some of my favorite things. Thank you so much, it really does make me happy.

Holly - it's not just you.....I finally decided that I was going to get back on the band wagon today (well - decided to do better this weekend). Weighed in today & am up a few lbs but still down 16....believe me, I'm still happy about that :goodvibes

So.....you & I - we're a team - we'll try to get each other going & keep each other on track - K???

My advice about getting on track.

- Sit quietly and really think about what's important. Make a list if necessary.
- Take ownership of the situation.
- Make a list of what you have done before and what has worked
- Make a list of the triggers that derail you
- Leave guilt at the door step.
- Focus on each day
- Plan
- Plan
- Plan
- Plan
- Plan
- Track your food & Points
- Track every single BLT (bites, licks and tastes)
- If you go over your points, still track, otherwise it become "magical," by accounting for it you can take action.
- Track your food
- Track your food
- Track your food
 
I also really recommend, for those who are inclined, the meeting room experience, as it helps with support and accountability.

But then again, I'm a meeting leader and you know what they say, if you manufacture hammers, everything starts to look like a nail.

Also my advice is, commit to just one change this week. It doesn't have to be a big change in behavior, a small change will do. Commit to a change and stick to it.

The change that always helps me get back on track is tracking. I force myself to do it completely and honestly.

For me, it's sort of like a push start for a car, I find that I force myself to do it for 3 days and then my engine turns over and builds momentum.
