I hope you enjoy a relaxing day.

Woody
Thanks Woody, I certainly am! :cloud9: I've been napping under an umbrella by the pool, listening to the waterfall, jumping in the water now and then, had lunch there at some point, and decided I was ready for a bit of air conditioning. I think I'll take a walk shortly and find some other ways to waste time until the rest of the group returns and we'll all go swimming. :goodvibes

I finished my TR!! FINALLY!!

http://monicasadventures.blogspot.com/2009/05/cruising-baltics-on-ncl-april-25-may-10.html takes - you straight to the start of this trip

COOL!!! I'll go explore tonight after Tyler's in bed. I've been uploading my own pics from this week and am ready to get away from the computer for now and head BACK TO THE POOL! I can't believe Tyler's lasted this long at the park in this heat! Major kudos to Heather &Tom! :worship:

Oh my gosh, Heather just called me to ask what my plans are for dinner because they're thinking of stopping somewhere on the way back here. She told me Tyler only got cranky twice, once because he was hot, so she had him put his cool tie on and he was fine, then again when he was hungry, and she said he ate a pizza and some grapes and a cookie and 5 minutes later was happy again. He's not been complaining about lines and has been doing great with them! He's gone on every ride he wanted to, and was wasting time with Tom when she called me while she went over to get Fastpasses for Tower of Terror because he asked if they could ride it again! Wow! I was so worried about his day today, so this is great news! She told me there's a playground or some type of play area there that he loved and Tom took lots of pictures to share with me. :goodvibes They all plan on coming back and jumping in the pool, so I told them which one I'm at and they'll meet me there because I'm headed out soon. Haven't gone back out yet, still uploading pictures from this week so far. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear about Tyler's day!

Holly - that's GREAT!! Can't wait to hear about it too!

Michelle! Um.....let's not let mom know you compared taking care of her to Nan taking care of her dog! ;)

Mom knows I would care for them BOTH with TLC... :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

& congrats on Tyler having a good day... Sounds like a normal kid to me... :thumbsup2

BTW... I melt down when I'm hot and hungry...

Holly, what a great day for everyone! I'm happy to hear you are all having such a great vacation!

Oh, I almost forgot.....this is for Ian: I had lots of fun playing with the waterproof camera in the pool last night! Have you experimented with it in the water yet?

No, not until September.

Did you both just buy new waterproof cameras? Did you get the same kind? I have just decided I would like one for Sept too, so am shopping around. Any tips?

thanks Deb. I'm really feeling a bit guilty as I'd rather just not have to do surgery for her at all. She is an ok dog, but she isn't like my first nor like Casey (our best dog ever). But even with all of my not giving her 100% of my affection she is a sweetie. She is home has been sleeping ever since we got home. She jumped in the back of the minivan at the vets and climbed over the middle seat to sit on the floor at Molly's feet in the back seat on the way home. She is such a girl of habit. She also broke her collar jumping over the seats  darn dog...costing me even more money just to get home  The tube in her ear is gross, she is oozing blood and it's dropping on the floor. what a mess  This tube stays in for 4 weeks :scared1: and she needs drops twice a day and pills twice a day. Too much if you ask me. :sad2:

or maybe that I can have a drink everyday to cope with her ailments :rolleyes1

Made me feel better for sure. He was ok with it, but still upset. Not until he wins again will he be over it. My friend reminded me last night that sometimes we need to just let our kids tell us they are bummed and not try to fix all their sorrows.

It's nice that you are having some down time to just relax :thumbsup2

thanks monica, she is still good, just raised her head when she heard the door open, Paul's home :woohoo:

Nan, sounds like you need a hug  Hope your dog, and you , are feeling some better

Wow, these boards are really slow tonight, or is it just my computer :confused3

I had a really nice day off work today. It was overcast here, but warm, around 20C. I went shopping with my daughter this morning, then we came back here to look up excursions for our cruise and make some decisions. Had fun planning and reading reviews together, and happy to say we've made all of the decisions so just have to hope we can book everything we want to do. I then walked her home(it's been a long time since I have said I've walked my daughter home!) I picked her up this morning and we both wanted to go for a walk, so I thought I'd just walk her half way from my house, but walked her all the way, only about a 45 min walk, but then I had to walk myself back home. Then I went out and mowed my front and back yards :faint: I did reward myself with a couple of hours relaxing on the deck with a book and glass of wine ;)

I have not been to the gym for a very long time, and have resolved today to start back next week. I'd like to get back in shape a little before the Sept cruises. I also expect to do a lot of hiking in Aug with my son on our trip, so need to get in to better shape. My daughter and I decided on an excursion that involves kayaking at CC so I better start trying to replace my arm flab with some muscles :lmao:

I have an Olympus Stylus 790 SW and am very pleased. I've taken it around the world twice, including underwater at the Cook Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. I've taken photos in the rain in Hong Kong, when others had to put their cameras away. I've dropped it on a bus in Alaska with no problems. It's a rugged little camera. The only drawback is it uses the more expensive XD cards (instead of the SD cards).

For anyone buying an underwater camera, I recommend trying it and getting familiar with it before going on vacation.

Thanks Woody for the feedback. Sounds like a great one to own! I was looking at an Olympus the other day, but I don't remember which one it was.

K- My Olympus is an older model. On our last cruise, our friends had a newer Olympus with more bells and whistles. Both were waterproof, which is really what matters.

Woody, I don't need to have the newest model with bells and whistles, so I appreciate your feedback. I am going to watch prices for a little bit, I would think they should go down as the summer passes :thumbsup2
