::yes:: what are we doing???

Hi Woody, Marilyn, Shannon, Connie, Deborah, Deb, Gaylean and the rest of you all too.:flower3:

Seems the gentle nudge worked to pick up the pace just a small bit.

hopefully Ken will be back next thread :rolleyes1

Jenny, the dog is in surgery this morning. She has an ear hemotoma (sp)

She isn't at our normal vet as his cost for fixing it was so high $1.2K so we have gone to another vet, a lady, she seems nice and compentent. She is doing a different type of procedure which is much less costly, $500 and therefore will require us to manage it afterwards for a bit of time. We are hoping it will result in a good result.
Aw, poor Jenny, I hope she recovers quickly.

Good news on the racing front. Willie is still first place in points even after this weekends bad chain break :thumbsup2 He is even still in first after each leader drops a race (the season is 10 races long, you drop you worst 2 races)

He will be very relieved to hear this :thumbsup2
Oh, this is great news! Hopefully it made him feel better after his bad luck with his last race. :thumbsup2

That might be a long day for our Nan.

But don't worry, I'll bring supplies to settle her down in case she get colicky.

HI HOLLY and Tyler

I didn't want to say his name too loud, I know that he is sound sensitive :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

There I go again, laughing at my own jokes....:lmao::lmao::lmao:
:rotfl2:You nut! :rotfl: No worries, he's been sound asleep for an hour and nothing wakes him up. :thumbsup2

WOW, I'm watching some cool lightning outside!

It's so beautiful here, I've had a few relaxing moments. :goodvibes Today I only stayed in the pool a very short time because the sun is not my friend and I didn't feel like slopping sunscreen all over me because I already had to cover Tyler with it. I ended up lying on a chair in the shade and napping on and off while everybody else swam. VERY NICE to just lounge around like that, staring at palm trees! :cloud9: I can't express just how much I needed this. Then Tyler came out of the pool and napped in the shade too for an hour. He also took another nap about 2 hours later when we went back to change and get ready to head to Downtown Disney. He was still tired and kept resting his head on his arms on the table while we waited for our food. After everybody left just a while ago, I told him that since they were out doing something fun, I'd let him watch POC3 while laying in bed until falling asleep. He was excited because I didn't let him see it before. I did skip past the hanging scene in the beginning that somebody posted about here (I think Nan?), then after watching less than 15 minutes told me he was just too tired and wanted me to turn it off so he could just go to sleep. Kids never admit they're tired, so he must have been completely wiped out.

Tomorrow I get to lounge around the pool all day if I want to, and can read out there all day if I want, or do anything I feel like doing! :cloud9: It's going to be wonderful!

Well, I guess I'm going to spend some time uploading more pictures. Perhaps a beer would be good. After all, I can have one or 2 more often than just one night this week since I'm on vacation! :cloud9: I bought a 6-pack at the beginning of our vacation and I only have 1 left! That's probably the quickest I've ever made a 6-pack disappear! :scared1:

Oh my gosh, there's a miniature golf place across the street and it has a big volcano that occasionally erupts. It's REALLY loud when the flames shoot up out the top! It makes me jump every time! :rotfl2:

Nan - :grouphug::grouphug: and prayers for the humans in Jenny's life & to Jenny herself  Glad you were able to find the other vet.

Marilyn - glad you're home safe - sorry about the baby.

Holly - so glad that you're getting to relax. Sounds like today was wonderful :goodvibes

Deborah - your comment about just turning off your hearing aid made me :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

It went off when Tom & I were out by my car last night - made me jump too!

Oh, I almost forgot.....this is for Ian: I had lots of fun playing with the waterproof camera in the pool last night! Have you experimented with it in the water yet?

No, not until September.

Oh, it's great fun! I'll share some clips when I get caught up on uploading stuff. It was funny because I kept trying to swim with one arm so that I could hold the hand with the camera up out of the water because it was just too bizarre to be able to have it in the water. I got a couple seconds of Bethany dipping underwater and back up just for me to test it out and I held the camera underwater while she did that. Very fun playing with it! :goodvibes

You better bring that or I'm gonna CRY Like a DIS BABY on an airplane leaving WDW going home to London .

I think it was Marilyn that was the crying baby and she just tried to blame it on some poor innocent non speaking child :scared1:

Marilyn how could you!!!

and I think I'm following Ian and Sukie where ever they go on this cruise, sorry boys you can be alone at home :rolleyes1 So I guess I'm in for that thing whatever Ian said it was.

Nan... we can't go... it's a PRINCESS lunch... :snooty:

I think he was going to take it in the shower... :rolleyes1

If it's Connie, then I'm in good company. So far this year, I've spent 116 days onboard.

Woody

Woody... I think you really are in the Navy....

Well, I'm headed to bed. I was trying to stay awake until Heather, Tom & Bethany return so I can ask Heather if she knows why the washing machine won't go into the spin cycle, it just shuts off. She did laundry yesterday and it worked fine, so that's strange. My clothes are stuck sitting in water in the machine. Oh well, I'm too tired to care and we have to get up at 7am tomorrow.

I have more pictures to share soon, probably tomorrow since I'll have all day to myself to fiddle with them. :goodvibes

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

So sorry about Jenny Nan. I feel your pain.

Gandalf.....dog before Angel.....had pancreatitus once and had to stay at the vet's for 5 days. He was also epileptic so he needed those meds everyday too. I remember his bill coming to $3k. I had just gotten my income tax check and it was for $3k. I handed the whole thing over to the vet. I remember crying harder leaving him at the vet than I did for my mom leaving her at a hospital. I remember feeling so guilty for that.

I definitely feel for you and wish Jenny a quick and comfortable recovery.

thanks Deb. I'm really feeling a bit guilty as I'd rather just not have to do surgery for her at all. She is an ok dog, but she isn't like my first nor like Casey (our best dog ever). But even with all of my not giving her 100% of my affection she is a sweetie. She is home has been sleeping ever since we got home. She jumped in the back of the minivan at the vets and climbed over the middle seat to sit on the floor at Molly's feet in the back seat on the way home. She is such a girl of habit. She also broke her collar jumping over the seats  darn dog...costing me even more money just to get home  The tube in her ear is gross, she is oozing blood and it's dropping on the floor. what a mess  This tube stays in for 4 weeks :scared1: and she needs drops twice a day and pills twice a day. Too much if you ask me. :sad2:

Aw, poor Jenny, I hope she recovers quickly.

or maybe that I can have a drink everyday to cope with her ailments :rolleyes1

Oh, this is great news! Hopefully it made him feel better after his bad luck with his last race. :thumbsup2

Made me feel better for sure. He was ok with it, but still upset. Not until he wins again will he be over it. My friend reminded me last night that sometimes we need to just let our kids tell us they are bummed and not try to fix all their sorrows.

:rotfl2:You nut! :rotfl: No worries, he's been sound asleep for an hour and nothing wakes him up. :thumbsup2

WOW, I'm watching some cool lightning outside!

It's nice that you are having some down time to just relax :thumbsup2

thanks monica, she is still good, just raised her head when she heard the door open, Paul's home :woohoo:

Is that with or without the international date line?

I'm still changing the bandages for mom - 2 months later... hopefully it will be off tomorrow...
