Is that with or without the international date line?

I'm still changing the bandages for mom - 2 months later... hopefully it will be off tomorrow...

you did not just compare your mother to my dog :scared1::scared1::scared1:

did you????:eek::eek::eek:

:sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

You blood has gotten "thinner" as they say... you can't take the cold anymore... I think you need to move to Florida...

Marilyn has to go home so she can do her wash and pack for her next trip to Florida... ;)

Oh, I think I could move there - just need the authorities to agree. And a lottery win!!!

First time ever I have only a small load of washing to do as I did everything at the villa. However the villa machine didn't wash very well, like many of the US machines, so I might have to re was some things.

John has gone into work so I am all alone.:scared1: He is back later though as he has a hospital appointment.

It is going to RAIN!!!:scared: This is the cold stuff though. It is all so green here. Quite pretty.

Holly, glad you are having such a good time. Tyler is doing well isn't he? You must be so pleased.

So Marilyn - you're getting rain, huh? Seems you can't get away from it! You took it with you - we're only in the 20% chance of rain this week.

YEEEEHAAAAA!!!! Let the FREE DAY begin!

:yay::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::yay:

Tyler just left with Heather, Tom & Bethany for HS for the day!!!!

They sure are brave!!! Either that, or crazy!! :rotfl2:

Go do your relaxing quickly - you never know when they'll be back! :goodvibes Enjoy!

Made me feel better for sure. He was ok with it, but still upset. Not until he wins again will he be over it. My friend reminded me last night that sometimes we need to just let our kids tell us they are bummed and not try to fix all their sorrows.

That's a really good point your friend had. It's definitely something I need to remember.

It's nice that you are having some down time to just relax :thumbsup2
OH YEAH! And it gets even better....I have ALL DAY to myself today! :cool1: I'm going to lay around by the pool in the shade under palm trees and RELAX even more! :cloud9:

Dad met w/ the vascular surgeon yesterday - surgery will be done w/in the next 2 weeks --- they're waiting for a part to come in (saying that sounds funny). They would have used a vein from his opposite leg but it was taken in 2005 for his heart bypass, so they have to order something metal. No clue really.

Part should be in in the next few days then they will schedule the actual surgery date.

Michelle! :eek: Um.....let's not let mom know you compared taking care of her to Nan taking care of her dog! ;)

I hope John's appointment goes well.

It must be hard for John to go into work after such a long time away!

Yes, Tyler is doing very well. This is the first vacation since starting meds and I've seen a major difference in him! Vacations used to be so rough for him, but he's only had ONE meltdown so far! He usually has multiple meltdowns every day on vacation. Yesterday he fell apart at Downtown Disney, but he had been up until midnight 3 nights in a row, so it was bound to happen. He slept 13 hours last night and woke up full of energy, so hopefully he handles today OK. It's supposed to be in the 90s(F) again, so he won't last all day, but hopefully can enjoy some of the things he was hoping to see at HS. He wants to do Tower of Terror, and see the Indiana Jones & Star Wars things.

The last time Heather, Tom & Bethany saw Tyler, he wasn't on meds yet, so they are really seeing a difference in him. Heather pointed out that she noticed that when he gets frustrated or overwhelmed, he starts to meltdown but it doesn't reach the same level as before, it's a much milder scene, and sometimes he just puts his head down and is quite for a while. She mentioned last night at T-Rex Cafe that the Tyler before meds would have been screaming and out of control with how tired and hot he was, but last night he just lay his head on the table and was quiet until the food came. He had lots of crabby comments, but those are easy to ignore. I heard her telling her mom yesterday how noticeable the difference is. :thumbsup2 It all makes me very happy to see how far he's come! One of my co-workers used to say "better living with chemistry"! :thumbsup2

Oh, I will! I'm just waiting for my laundry to finish drying. Tyler did something this morning to get the washing machine to finish, and it's now in the dryer, almost done. Then I'm taking a book to the pool! :goodvibes Tom is really good with Tyler and told me they'll just take lots of breaks, do inside things in between rides, etc. I sent them with money for Tyler's ticket, a little spending money for him to shop for Star Wars things, and Heather took lots of water and snacks, he has his cool tie and a hat and the spray bottle fan that Heather bought him, and sunscreen. Fingers crossed that he lasts long enough to do everything he's hoping to do! There's something going on at 3pm there that Heather said Tyler would probably like, I think it was called a block party or something like that, so hopefully I have at least that long to enjoy my freedom. :cloud9:

Well, hopefully the part comes in very quickly so he can get the surgery over with. :hug:

Oh, Monica, Tyler took his autograph book with him today, so I'll let you know how many autographs he gets. :goodvibes He was pretty excited about it.

OK....I'm off to the pool! :cloud9:

Monica, I'll be thinking and praying for Dad and the rest of the family. Please keep us looped on progress. :hug:
