Hey Everybody in the UK, cheese it, Marilyn's back! Better look busy!

I AM back, and I am frozen!!!:scared1: We have the heating on. It is about 57 deg.:sad1: I didn't wear a cardigan/sweater from reaching the terminal at Manchester Airport on 29th April to arriving back there this morning.

Had a good flight back apart from a infant who screamed for almost 3 hours when we were all trying to get some sleep.:headache:

Marilyn, welcome home! How was the holiday? How did the part with the family go?

Are you home now for a while? Do you have another holiday planned, or, is the next one in September?

I had my very best ear plugs in and could still hear him, so I put the headphones on too, but he managed to pierce them too!!! Not fun.

We had a wonderful holiday thank you Ian. I can hardly remember all the things we did early on. I think I should have written things down. I do remember meeting you both, and also the breakfast. That is such a long time ago isn't it?

The family part was fun, even with the annoying bits I mentioned last week. I really missed them when they went and was quite emotional:confused3, but, it was quiet and tidy!!!:lmao:

Unfortunately we don't have another holiday planned before September.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: In our mail were the cruise planning booklets, so that is nice. Still don't know what we will do in Tortola.

Tortola is challenging, at least for us. We only recently decided what we would do there.

No good pics of Emily to share, but here's a picture of Shaelyn & Kaleigh with the blanket that Shaelyn made for Emily. She was very excited to do it, and just needed some help from Mom to pin the fuzzy back to the pretty front with the quilt binding to hold it together.

I love that fabric!

Connie, what days do you work? Heather suggested we pop in and visit you. :thumbsup2

Actually, I am off until next week. Chuck and I are going to Illinois to his aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary party and Patrick is going to "camp" ( respite care in Sarasota)

Where are you today? We could meet somewhere? Patrick's been bugging me about going on a boat ride. He likes the one that goes from DTD to Old Key West, or the one that goes from Epcot to Hollywood studios.

Let me know. Connie

Damn, I just remember now that NCL is at Queensferry today which I should drive down to see it... I missed it as 45 mins drive as I am going to work huh...

Connie Fantastic about July Cruise....
Wish Disney Cruise near me as I will cruise more often.. scottishwee35

Thanks, Deb. We couldn't do it if I didn't work for the cruise line.....we even checked into goin on the the new Rpyal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas but it seemed kinda expensive ( at least the ones we were looking at).

So when this special came up, I snapped it up! Our younger son, Mike, might even be able to take a week off to go with us.

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Poor you! It's so hot here! But it's summer, so we expect it. I don't know what to pack for this weekend in Illinois.....might be hot, might be cold..

Hey, Ian, what's the forcast? I guess I'll watch Tom Skilling on WGN!

Connie, we can definitely meet because we're going to DTD at 4pm today. We're going to do the hot air balloon first (weather permitting) and then have dinner again at the T-Rex Cafe. Then at some point we'll be hitting the stores because Tyler needs to get something else at the Lego stores. I'll PM you my phone number. :goodvibes

Oh COOL! We will come down around that time. I phoned you and left a message!

It was The Mist. The book was much better and had a different ending.

That's right, now I remember Ken saying that since he's read the book. Wasn't it a Stephen King book? I've only read a couple of his, and it seems like the movies generally aren't as good.

Marilyn - glad you made it home safe. 3hours is a long time to listen to an infant cry. The parents must have been uncomfortable knowing everyone was irritated with it.

Holly - its sounds like you are having a blast!

Hi everyone!

Wanted to say that I had a blast last night w/ Holly & crew....yummy dinner (thanks again Heather!) then fun at the pool. Got home a little after 1030pm.

Trying to figure out what to do excursion-wise for the Tortola trip. Decisions, decisions :lmao:

Connie - so cool that you're going on another cruise so soon after your last one :thumbsup2

Shannon & G - good luck on the interviews! :wizard:

I really feel for parents when this happens. From what I could tell nobody was making 'that look' at them though I did see some people rouse and look fed up.

Not good on either side really is it?

::yes:: what are we doing???

Hi Woody, Marilyn, Shannon, Connie, Deborah, Deb, Gaylean and the rest of you all too.:flower3:

Seems the gentle nudge worked to pick up the pace just a small bit.

hopefully Ken will be back next thread :rolleyes1

Jenny, the dog is in surgery this morning. She has an ear hemotoma (sp)

She isn't at our normal vet as his cost for fixing it was so high $1.2K so we have gone to another vet, a lady, she seems nice and compentent. She is doing a different type of procedure which is much less costly, $500 and therefore will require us to manage it afterwards for a bit of time. We are hoping it will result in a good result.
