We had a great time! :goodvibes I twisted Monica's arm to get her to meet us at T-Rex Cafe. ;) That's the coolest place ever!!!! I thought Tyler would freak out and get crabby at how loud it is, but he loved it too! :thumbsup2 We're going there again for dinner on Tuesday. :woohoo:

I can't share pictures because I'm using Tom's computer and don't want to try to figure out how to upload on his computer and mess with all that hassle. I spent TWO HOURS on the phone with tech support tonight trying to get my computer to connect to the wireless here and it just isn't going to happen.

We got in an hour late because our flight was an hour late leaving Detroit. Checked in at our amazing place, dumped off our luggage and groceries, and headed to T-Rex Cafe for dinner. Yummy! Monica had a wonderful gift waiting for me & Tyler----MICKEY EARS! Our first ones! :yay:

After dinner we hit the Lego store, and the Disney store, then headed back to jump in the pool. That's when I realized I'd forgotten my swimsuit! :guilty: But it was OK because while everybody else was in the pool, I was lounging on a chair, staring at beautiful palm trees, watching "The Incredibles" on a big screen by the pool, and feeling more relaxed than I've felt in longer than I can remember! :cloud9: Later we went to a big gift store across the street and I bought a swimsuit.

Off to AK tomorrow! :dance3:

I'm glad you're having fun Holly! I'm looking forward to reading your next report. We haven't dined at T-Rex, but we did walk through to take a look at it last fall, it certainly looked like a fun place for kids! Sorry you forgot your bathing suit, but that's a good way to have to buy yourself a new one ;)

Well....

Mom and I took a trip up to the lake today to look at a house that I had had my eye on for a while... (a dream house you might say...) It was a beautiful house on 7.4 acres of lakefront property... don't even ASK how much it was... although give Nan enough rum and she'll spill...) :rolleyes1

I decided after taking the tour and roaming around the big house and the vast piece of property that that is not who I am and that is not what I want out of my place at the lake.

I stopped to see some of my friends who were up for the weekend, and I was sitting outside of Susan's nice little cabin (which I stayed in last year...) and all I could think of was "Why couldn't I just take Susan's cabin and put it someplace else..." which obviously I can't cause she's quite attached to it and there isn't any place to put it...

What I want is just a little place that's mine. And most of all I want to be close to my friends.

So... the dream of the Taj Mahal has gone to the wayside and I apologize to anyone who I promised summer vacations to unless you think you can come and veg in my loft or on my sofabed... (Monica has called first dibs... or was that Nan???)

Mallows of Marsh will be included by a campfire...

Bubba... the fishing IS good there...

If anyone wants to see it... here's the link...it's the first one and you have to click on the numbers to open the pictures. The mountain across from the lake is Dunham Mountain - my favorite and yes, that tall tree at the top IS mine... (although everyone I know claims it as theirs...)

The cabin WILL be pretty much gutted and it will look like a little rustic oasis by the time I get finished with it... yes, I decorate with sticks... :lmao:

It is under Lake Pleasant Association...

Your plan sounds very nice, Michelle. It does look like a pretty and relaxing place to be.

We are home after our cruise in the Pacific. It was fab!

Woody

Hi Woody. Welcome back. Now to planning this little cruise you have booked for September. Unless, of course, you have another one sneaked in before then!!!:lmao:

Just back from our mini meet in AK with Holly, Tyler, Monica, Heather, Bethany and Tom.

So great to see them again. Tyler was enjoying himself - apart from the dinosaurs on the Dinosaur ride!! Mind you I'm not keen on that ride, and I know Molly hates it!!!

We stayed a little while with them, but it is a very hot and humid day, so we bid them farewell and came back to the villa for a swim. BUT, there is a storm, so I guess I had better go pack instead.:scared1:

Had a good breakfast at the Golden Corral on our way, so not very hungry at the moment.

Don't tell me it's hot an humid. After my 50th birthday celebration in WDW, in the middle of August I swore that I would never go back when it was too hot.

We dragged ourselves around the parks, and Sukie collapsed in MGM one day from the heat (I think the chose MGM because it was the most appropriate park for a dramatic moment.)

I have however only recently realized that the upcoming trip, September 4th is not all that much later than mid-August, and the August heat.

Now if only I could figure out where we put our cool bands.

I know I'm going to have to keep Sukie doused with water, and make sure to get him back into someplace shady during the main heat of the day.

Hi All....got the sick bug back again....not eating....down another false 6 lbs. This has not been a good Summer so far. I've been sick more than not for the past month. I've had enough.

Still on the antibiotics for the cellulitis too. No change there.

Kristopher is coming for a visit on Wednesday. He's staying for 2 weeks and I had planned on taking him places and doing some things with him. That's not going to happen at the rate I'm going.

I think I need a Caribbean vacation. I'm watching the top ten beaches in the Caribbean on the travel channel. They're doing flaming Bob Marley's in Montego Bay. They put the drink in a shot glass, light it on fire and you drink it with a straw. I've never seen that before.

Sorry about the tummy bug Deb. You really have had a bad time this year. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes, I'm expecting September to be humid, but this time we didn't expect it at all and it has been very uncomfortable at times

. We had a small storm and a little rain, so it is cooler now. Just out of the pool and wondering where to go and eat.

Aw, poor Wilson....I'm sending him lots of hugs.:hug::hug:

Awww, give Will a hug from me  I'm sure he is very dissappointed, but I do believe as well that the bad times help to build character. Here's hoping his next race he's back to winning :thumbsup2

thanks. Last night when reading him from FB Molly said isn't that great all our DISer friends keep in touch and cheer us on when we are down. I had to laugh, because Molly thinks only us DISers FB :lmao: Again, when I read these to Willie I know he will feel better knowing that his friends are supporting him when he is sad along with the victories.:thumbsup2

Seems we need to have a Dino reunion :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Molly will be happy to know that she isn't the only one that thinks it will be biting her :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Holly, did you make Tyler sit on the "scarey" side????

Very pretty. Upstate is really quite spectacular, isn't it?

Thanks... it is... it's where my heart lives so I know that I will be very happy with my cottage at the lake... :lovestruc

Hi all!

Sitting here watching the Tonys - they just had a song from Shrek:The Musical.

Have had a busy weekend (for me)....started out by doing the ADRs for September dining for the Ian/Jackie/Sukie/Cheri/Kathe/Me party at 7am, followed by dropping off the ears & autograph book at Vistana to be given to Holly at check in & treated myself to lunch at Lonestar (was in the mood for a steak). Next thing I know I'm being invited to meet Holly, Tyler, Heather, Tom & Bethany at T-Rex - so off I went. As Holly mentioned, it was an amazing place - HUGE portions. Try the tomato soup - it was YUMMY!
(I ended up in bed & asleep by 10pm).

This morning it was off to DAK - to meet the group from yesterday & John & Marilyn. I made it until about 415pm then headed home. Plan is to stop by Vistana on my way home from work tomorrow for a drink, dinner & a swim.

Did NOTHING that I should have done (house/laundry wise) but that's ok. Didn't get to Publix either (would have done it on the way home but that's when it was starting to rain again, plus I was tuckered out). Luckily I have something to take for lunch tomorrow.

Marilyn & John - safe travels home tomorrow....check in with us once you get home.

Nan - let Wil know - better luck next time. Don't you just hate technical problems/issues??

Michelle -

G & V - nice to see you back!

Woody - WELCOME HOME!

Hi Kathe!!

Deb - sorry you got the stomach bug again

Hi Ian!!

& here I thought you had no plans for the weekend...

Michelle -

Thanks... how do you feel about a sofabed?

Marilyn, it was great to see you and John! It really was hot today. I can't imagine how people live here! :faint: I'm sorry Tyler was a bit crabby. Fortunately, when it rained, everything cooled off quite a bit and the sun never came back out until after we left (we left about a half hour before the park closed). Tyler's mood improved majorly as the temperature dropped. :thumbsup2 Then after we had lunch, he was pretty happy the rest of the day. I never thought he'd last almost all day long! He certainly wouldn't have lasted much longer though if the heat had continued.

Thanks so much for the POC activity book (and stickers) for Tyler, it actually came in handy as we sat waiting a half hour for the Nemo show to start. :goodvibes What a great show that was! Tyler did enjoy it, but fell asleep shortly after it started, so he missed most of it.

The Dinosaur ride.....yikes! I loved it, but shortly after it started, I knew he would be freaked out. He didn't mind the darkness or the dinosaurs jumping out, the problem was how loud it was. Poor kid. I do have to say though, his face was hilarious in the picture they took! :lmao: He was not amused.

Glad you were able to have a swim later to cool off. Sorry you're leaving FL soon, but you'll be back in just a few short months. :thumbsup2

Deb, you sure do need a vacation! You just can't seem to get a break lately with being sick and dealing with your leg. So sorry about all the rotten stuff you've been going through lately.

Actually, Bethany tried to make him sit on the scary side, but somehow that ended up being me on that side I think. I loved it! :goodvibes I doubt he'll ever go on it again. Same with Expedition Everest. He didn't like that one either.

Poor Monica can't get anything done because I keep kidnapping her! :rotfl2:

We both love our ears so much! Tyler was bummed that he forgot the autograph book and pen today, but he definitely won't forget next time. Thanks again! Very sweet of you!

Looking forward to you hanging out with us again tomorrow! Hope you're not sick of us yet! ;) Tyler was telling me tonight, "Monica is so nice!" :goodvibes
