I am not a NY driver. I never knew how to drive when I lived in NY. I got my first driver's license when I was 27 years old when I moved to Chicago.

My first and only driver's license was an Illinois license.

Connie - I took my driver's test in Elgin!

I DIDN'T SAY IT WAS YOU!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hey! I was at the DCL desk at SSR all morning! I didn't see you guys there today.....

I think you'll be gone from there by Sunday when I amt here again.

Hey Marilyn...

did you know that you were on Manta for the "soft opening?"

Couldn't you have waited for someone ELSE to try it out first... :rotfl:

Well, my evening certainly didn't turn out the way I'd planned. Just before I was to leave for karate class, I remembered that my outfit was in the dryer with a load I'd recently put in there. :headache: So I couldn't go to class. I want to make sure I go 2 or 3 times a week. There's one more class this week I can attend, Saturday morning. That will only be twice this week, but hopefully next week I can go 3 times.

So instead, I went to PetSmart to get some supplies. On the way home I stopped at KFC. The line was very long both inside and at the drive-thru, but I waited because I really wanted to try the grilled chicken. After waiting close to 10 minutes in line inside, when it was finally my turn to order, the cashier was instructed to stop selling grilled chicken until they can fill the current orders already paid for. I was told they'd need to make 2 more batches before they could take my order and each batch was 8-10 minutes to wait.

I left and went to another KFC. Same situation, but the total wait was about 15 minutes. It was SOOOOOOO good! Well worth the wait. Used up lots of points to have it, but since I slept most of the day I hadn't used many points. Yummy!!!!!

I did know that Michelle!!!!! And I did worry a bit too. I wondered who had tried it out the very first time.:scared1: I worried that when they tip you up that the seat breaks and you just drop off!!:scared1: That wouldn't be too bad in the loading area, but at the top of the first incline or turning a corkscrew it wouldn't be a good thing.

Did you have one of the coupons for the free chicken? I think I will wait and purchase some at regular price - not in mood to wait in line and we only have one KFC in town - I have whooping cough and freak people out when I cough and stop breathing - but I cannot give it to anyone anymore - but crowds are hard to be in with it.

I finally got the results of the exam I wrote back in March on the night before we left for Disneyland. I passed :cool1::banana: and I really didn't expect to.

Deb - that was a cool article on Lost. Thanks for sharing!:thumbsup2

Nan - sorry to hear about your dishwasher and more importantly, good luck to Paul!

Holly - too bad you missed your Karate, but you finally got your KFC :goodvibes

Deborah - glad to hear you did well in your meeting with the bosses. I hope things improve for you at work.

Hi Krissann!!!

We're all reminiscing about where we were and what we were doing this time last year...

Oh... how we'd love to be back on the Magic!!!

No coupon. It wouldn't print on the printers at work for some reason and I don't have a printer at home. I was probably the only paying person they saw today! ;)

Congrats on passing your exam Shannon! :goodvibes

I just ordered a really big cage for the guinea pig because I decided he needs a friend. I've been doing so much reading about the critters and have learned they get bored easily and live healthier and longer when they have a playmate (same gender, of course!). :goodvibes I feel sorry for him, all alone in a cage and don't have the heart to keep him lonely. I take him out as much as possible, but I'm sure that's not the same as having a buddy.

 Hi Krissan!

Holly & Michelle - thanks for the support! I love this thread, there's always somebody around to share good news with (and bad news and anything in between :goodvibes)

It sounds like you are enjoying the guinea pig as much as Tyler. I think you'll enjoy having two and watching them interact. Our degus are funny together because one is definitely the boss, and they will argue, and then snuggle just like humans :lmao:

Oh I really miss being on the cruise and will not be on the Magic again till next April for the TA EB and I long for a cruise - but I choose a pool instead for this year so I have to float in it. It is amazing that this time last year they were breaking the ground for the pool when we left for the cruise and took till October for it to be completed (those on facebook can see the pictures of my pool on the hill on my profile "Krisann Duncan Blair"

I am hoping to catch up with what everyone is doing these days. I know I have missed a lot but I try to read from time to time. Hubby is still in Iraq - maybe for the TA he will come home for good (but hopefully before).

Glad to see everyone here!

Awww, that sounds so cute! Yup, I'm enjoying him much more than I'd thought. I was worried that I'd get grossed out by cleaning the cage, but it doesn't stink at all, so I don't mind. I'll have to clean it out twice as much with 2 of them, but I don't think I'll mind.

Well, it's almost midnight, so I suppose I'd better get to bed.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Congrats Shannon :thumbsup2 This was an accounting test right? If you are ever stumped drop me a pm, I'm a pretty good teacher of this stuff, lots of clerks that I've trained over the years so I'm fairly good at explaining it. Funny thing is that I never did well in my schooling for accounting, it just didn't make sense to me until I actually used it in real life.

Thanks for all the good thoughts for Paul. I hope the job gods are with us and something comes thru soon :thumbsup2

I hope it's warm enough soon so you can enjoy that new pool! :goodvibes

Thanks for the offer Nan! It was another accouting course. Now I'm in the middle of the statistics one. Its very boring. I'm still hoping to find a job where I can use some of this and actually work in the same town as Ken. It'll be strange if I ever have him home every night. :scared1: But it will be so good when it eventually comes together.

I was supposed to be going to bed early tonight, but have to stay up for another hour to get Shaelyn's brownie uniform off. I'm off to start a cross-stitch for Ken's sister's baby who is due later this month.

Good night all!

Oh the pool is heated and the days have been in the 70's and 80's for weeks now so we are already swimming - it is wonderful - I always dreamed of a pool as a child.
