I'm about to cry! Supposed to leave early in the morning for Laughlin (the place with the small slot machines) but about 4:15 today I started feeling sick. Nauseaus, lightheaded, sort of like a flu feeling but just not sure. Went to bed at 6 as soon as we got home, no dinner no nothing, just wanted to sleep. Got up at ten and felt just as bad! This sucks! Gaylean aint gonna believe me! And I'm gonna ruin Venetias fun weekend with her BFF!!!

Thought I'd stop by and say hi to everyone. Can you believe that last year this time we were all getting ready for our cruise? Dh lost his job in Jan and is having no luck finding another one but he doesn't seem to be looking too hard... I have 2 new puppies so have been busy trying to pad-train them. I have been reading all the posts off and on and have seen all the talk about weight loss. I started a diet on Jan 2,2009 and as of today I have lost 67 pounds. 33 more to go! I am looking forward to seeing some of you at Connie's on the 16th of May. No cruises for us until 2010. At least we have Hawaii and Mexico and a few small trips to hold us over until 2010. No PC cruise again for us as we are holding out for the new ship or Alaska which ever comes first.

Wow, excellent weight loss, well done Gydell. Looking forward to May 16th!

We're off to Sacramento for gymnastics Regionals this morning and won't be home until Saturday night so I'll probably be scarce. (So what else is new?? ) We bid on our hotel on Priceline and I don't know if they have internet in the rooms.

David has an evdo one of those cards that lets you connect from anywhere, so I'll probably check back in once or twice because one: Im addicted and two: I'm waiting to hear back from some folks who might rent some points from us, but I won't be around much.

Wish Alison luck. She's driving me nuts because she's so sure that she's not going to place this time just because she's going to be a little fish in a big pond. She placed frist all-around at 3 of her meets this season and 5th all around at State Championships even with an injury.

GRR! I can't get her to understand the importance of positive self-talk to an athlete (or anyone else for that matter!) I'll keep you posted!

Not much to say today. It's nearly the weekend.

However, I started this week thinking that by today, I had only a week until vacation, instead of two. However, on the bright side, only two weeks until vacation!

I cannot believe we were crusing one year next month!!!

My god you lose 67 pounds - well done... I have not lose any weight... I find it harder now.... I will start diet again for my brother's wedding next year...

It might take a day or 2 to get the meds. Their office has a phone in line for prescription refils, it asks you a series of questions and you leave a recording after each one with the response, then it says they'll respond within 48 hours. So I guess I wait for a return phone call telling me they called the prescription in to my pharmacy.

Oh dear, hope you manage to get something to help you....

Jackie & Cheri: I might have to drive over and join you gals for lunch when you're both in Chicago! It's definitely driving distance for me.

Shannon... the "project" I am working on is a very large desalination project that will bring clean water into the southwest of the US... Lake Mead (feeds the Hoover Dam) is at 23% capacity... you can see how low in these pictures... (which I took as we were taking off from Las Vegas on our way home from DL last year...)

The white areas on the shoreline is where the water USED to cover...

Did you went to Las Vegas after the Cruise? it look lovely...
