You too? Sometimes I have days where I can be in such an icky bad mood that EVERYTHING irritates me. I even irritate myself at those times. I've never been able to figure out what causes it.

But it is on those sorts of days that Sukie tends to be very scarce.

I've had a lot of those days lately...

Can't believe it's 2 years... :sad2:

Morning Thieves pirate:

Well, three weeks from today I'll be waking up in Chicago, in a beautiful condo overlooking Lake Michigan and Belmont Harbor. Then sis and I will collect Cheri from Eastwood Manor and have a fascanating big city adventure of some kind. The kind that doesn't cost too much money...which would probably be.....WINDOW SHOPPING! :lmao: There will be an art gallery visit to see some of Dianne's water colors and possible museum visits to any spots Cheri hasn't hit before I get there. And I suppose there will be some dining out involved. I'm hoping to get by for $50 a day....wish me luck!

Oh yeah....and later on some time with Ian and Sukie.........

.

she's sounding like Rachel Ray... only with a $10 raise...

Well, it ain't a cruise to the Baltic! if that's where you are really going.......

She's taking the Circleliner around Manhattan...

Good morning/afternoon Thieves....
Well last day of work before a 3 day weekend for us. We plan on leaving very early tomorrow morning. Gay's sister Kim and her family are going with us too. We are planning on meeting them tomorrow at Hoover Dam. So lets hope we can hit the road in time to meet up there.

Ok now back to work, it's payroll day and since I'm off tomorrow I have to get it completed today.

TTFN

Hey V... let me know how low the water is OK??? I'm serious... thanks...

You're going to be in Chicago? Do phone when you're in town. I'll check my social calendar.

What gallery does Dianne exhibit in? There's a gallery that's opened around the corner from our house that specializes in local artists. It's called "Sacred Art" http://www.sacredartstore.com/index.shtml

(Yes, pretty much the entire universe is around the corner from our house)

During your stay in Chicago, and when you and Dianne are visiting Cheri's at Chez Eastwood Manor, you MUST visit Merz Apothecary. It's around the corner from us (but the opposite direction of Sacred Art).

I DARE you to walk out without having spent some money.

Thought I'd stop by and say hi to everyone. Can you believe that last year this time we were all getting ready for our cruise? Dh lost his job in Jan and is having no luck finding another one but he doesn't seem to be looking too hard...;) I have 2 new puppies so have been busy trying to pad-train them. I have been reading all the posts off and on and have seen all the talk about weight loss. I started a diet on Jan 2,2009 and as of today I have lost 67 pounds. 33 more to go! I am looking forward to seeing some of you at Connie's on the 16th of May. No cruises for us until 2010. At least we have Hawaii and Mexico and a few small trips to hold us over until 2010. No PC cruise again for us as we are holding out for the new ship or Alaska which ever comes first.

Oh poor you. Will you get the new meds today? I hope you do and they work super quickly.
It might take a day or 2 to get the meds. Their office has a phone in line for prescription refils, it asks you a series of questions and you leave a recording after each one with the response, then it says they'll respond within 48 hours. So I guess I wait for a return phone call telling me they called the prescription in to my pharmacy.

:cheer2:YOU GO GIRL! :cheer2:

Ian, Di's stuff will be at August House at 2113 W Roscoe 5/3-5/17. Cheri, she will talk to you about going to the opening if you want. It's not open the Sunday in the middle, so I'll probably go over there Sat 5/8 (don't remember right now when you boys get home). She has been to Merz, gets some homeopathic stuff there. And she definately wants to have lunch at Selmarie at some point. When are we going to do STAR TREK? :confused3

.

Jackie & Cheri: I might have to drive over and join you gals for lunch when you're both in Chicago! It's definitely driving distance for me. :goodvibes

Of course, I suppose it's kind of rude for me to impose. :scared:

Hey the bright side of that is YOU HAVE BENEFITS!!!! We're paying $1.6K per month out of pocket for JUST medical insurance, and sadly it isn't a luxury plan. Oh woe is us....As Tracy says we're thankful for what we have and can do.

I declare....NO MORE MOANING... Snide wasn't I getting the last word in :rolleyes1

Chuck and I pay that amount per month, too. Now Patrick pays even more than that just himself alone, but we are happy that he's got any insurance coverage. :thumbsup2

You will have so much fun just walking around Chicago.....just going on the boat ride on the river is fun,so is Grant Park. Have you been to Chicago before? If not, the bus tour is fun! Also tour the historic Watertower!

'couirse Ian knows all the fun "little known' places I wouldn't know!

Monica is not going to meet with us. She's on a "cruise."

Her "cruise" (aka hiding from Ian) is still worth being jealous over. Granted its not as exciting as the meet the rest of you will be having ;)

Hey V... let me know how low the water is OK??? I'm serious... thanks...

:confused::confused:I'm curious, why?:confused3

:cool1: wow that's a big loss. Way to go!:cool1:

. Have you been to Chicago before?

Lived there for 10 years and sister still lives there, so I've been back many times to visit. :thumbsup2 Plus I grew up in NW Indiana, and made many city trips for the museums.

Holly, I'll only be there one weekend and sister has me pretty booked up and family in Indiana is making noises about me not coming and visiting with them...the same family that won't drive into the city to visit Dianne..:sad2:

Shannon... the "project" I am working on is a very large desalination project that will bring clean water into the southwest of the US... Lake Mead (feeds the Hoover Dam) is at 23% capacity... you can see how low in these pictures... (which I took as we were taking off from Las Vegas on our way home from DL last year...)

The white areas on the shoreline is where the water USED to cover...
