Willie always says he doesn't like it, well he hates the pack meetings, so loud, but he likes the den meetings much smaller group. I've forced him to stay invovled. I think he needs to have a "team" type activity in his life, otherwise he'd hermit with his video games all the time.

I know exactly how you feel and that is why we made him do it for a year. He didn't like anything about it. As a matter of fact, he would cry all the way home from school on Thursday saying he hated it and they tricked him into joining. The first meeting they played dodge ball with the older bs so he thinks they tricked him. It just got to be too much for me to handle. We skipped a few meetings and was hoping he's miss it but he doesn't at all. He even calls them dorks  We have soccer so that's good, right? It's only in the fall but that is enough for me.

Good morning/afternoon Thieves....
Well last day of work before a 3 day weekend for us. We plan on leaving very early tomorrow morning. Gay's sister Kim and her family are going with us too. We are planning on meeting them tomorrow at Hoover Dam. So lets hope we can hit the road in time to meet up there.

Ok now back to work, it's payroll day and since I'm off tomorrow I have to get it completed today.

Well that is very exciting. Can't wait to see what he/she is like, and see piccies. Keith and Olivia will be:yay::yay:.

yup, I'm ready to stop playing for the night, keeps kicking me out

If he's (Gaylean this goes for Ethan, too) not enjoying it, I'd recommend finding another pack or waiting a couple of years until they're old enough for Boy Scouts. Erik is working on his Eagle Scout project right now and I really see the value in the whole ordeal. We're in an AWFUL troop, but it would be too much trouble and really too hard to change troops at this point. He needs the volunteers to help with his project and he wouldn't have the relationships he needs to do that in a new troop. But if you find a well-run troop it's a GREAT program and they learn so much about accomplishing a big project from start to finish, dealing with bureaucracies, asking for help, organizing $$, materials and people, and the list goes on! Hopefully by the middle of Summer I'll be announcing his actual advancement to Eagle Scout! WOO HOO!

We're off to Sacramento for gymnastics Regionals this morning and won't be home until Saturday night so I'll probably be scarce. (So what else is new??:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:) We bid on our hotel on Priceline and I don't know if they have internet in the rooms.

David has an evdo one of those cards that lets you connect from anywhere, so I'll probably check back in once or twice because one: Im addicted and two: I'm waiting to hear back from some folks who might rent some points from us, but I won't be around much.

Wish Alison luck. She's driving me nuts because she's so sure that she's not going to place this time just because she's going to be a little fish in a big pond. She placed frist all-around at 3 of her meets this season and 5th all around at State Championships even with an injury. :woohoo: :woohoo:

GRR! I can't get her to understand the importance of positive self-talk to an athlete (or anyone else for that matter!) I'll keep you posted!

Have a great rest of the week, everyone!:grouphug:

Wow, you've had such a long wait, it must feel good to know you'll have the dog fairly soon (compared to the time you've already waited). :goodvibes

Have a great weekend Tracy, and good luck Alison! :cheer2:

Through a series of voice mails, Carlos and I are trying to find a time to get together! :goodvibes He asked me to go out this Friday, but I'll be with my mom. I asked him to go out Saturday (because Tyler's staying an extra day at his dad's), but he's got plans for a golf outing with a group of men from church. SO....I invited him to join me and a couple co-workers tonight after work for dinner and/or a drink. Waiting to hear back from him. I doubt he'll go because I suspect meeting my co-workers would make him nervous. ;)

Would it not have been worth cancelling going with your co workers and meeting Carlos?

No, because I don't want him to think I'd always be willing to cancel with friends to go meet him. I don't want to sound eager or too available. ;) If he's interested, he'll wait until I have a free day. :thumbsup2

You would prefer London to N California??? I love going to visit London, but.....!

However, we would get to meet again.:)

for a change London would be fun. I guess I'm at a point where I'm just looking for change :confused3

I hear ya, no fun when they are crying. Maybe stop and think of it later like Tracy suggests below ::yes::

Eagle is big work. Congrats to Erik for attemping it. Good luck for Alison this weekend.

Deborah, more wait  get that dog !!!!

Excedrin is not working again for the 3rd day in a row. :headache: The really great drug the doctor at the migraine clinic prescribed me was over $300 for just my co-pay, but now that I have new insurance through work, I just called the doctor and asked him to write a new prescription for me because my co-pay should be no more than $50. :dance3: I desperately need it because I'm killing my liver with too much Excedrine. I have to take lots just to get through the work day because I definitely can't afford to miss 2 or 3 days (which is how long each migraine has been lasting). So I need the good stuff to get through this misery.

Oh poor you. Will you get the new meds today? I hope you do and they work super quickly.

Popping in for a coffee break!

Tracy - You had a lot of frustration lately, what with taxes and Lost! Enjoy your weekend and good luck to Alison :goodvibes

Monice, Marilyn, Ian, Cherie, Jackie - I'm jealous that all of you have trips and meets and stuff!

Gaylean, Venetia, Bubba - I want to see pictures of your crazy weekend!

Deborah - that's good news that you will get a dog, but wow is that a long wait!

Holly - hope you can get the new drugs and feel better in time for an evening out. Sounds like a date with Carlos might take a while to happen with your busy schedule.

Now, I should get back to work. Its a nice sunny day out, I might do some raking after work. We have to get all the gravel off the lawn, that ended up on the grass from shovelling the snow.
