Good morning everyone - Happy Thursday!

I'm working 830a-530p today & tomorrow - not sure about next week.

I'm very tired this am - not sure if it's cuz I'm now into week 2 w/o the 2nd med or if it's cuz my body has no clue what I'm doing to it (schedule).

I've noticed I'm still quite mad (angry that is, even tho many would say I was mad too :rotfl:) but I'm not feeling the intensity anymore - I guess that's a step in the right direction. I have noticed that I seem to be sabotaging myself in the weight loss department - can't seem to stop eating (and bread is my worst enemy right now). Not really looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow.

Full moon tonight so work should be interesting - the moon seems to always bring out the "best" in people :lmao:

Deb - good to see you!

Holly - way to go w/ the class...I can't see the video here at work, but :thumbsup2 on finishing (even if you were last).

Michelle - are you pebble free yet? How's Mom?:hug: to both of you.

Hi Kathe!

Monica - let me know if you would like to talk sometime about the sabotage thing .. by phone I mean.

Realized last night that I need to start figuring out what I'm going to pack! I leave 2 weeks from tomorrow & am sooooooooo NOT prepared!

Thanks Ian - that means alot

Hard thing is that I know I'm doing it yet can't seem to stop it.

How's your day going?

? for you Techie people....

where is a good place to buy a new battery for my laptop? (I have a Toshiba).

TIA!

  • American Airlines
  • Continental
  • Delta
  • jetBlue
  • United/Ted
  • Northwest
  • Alaska Airlines
  • AirTran Airways
  • US Airways
Despite rumors floating around the internet, these are the ONLY participating airlines for the Disney Resort Airline Check-In Desk.

So, I would assume these are the same airlines for PORT CANAVERAL departure check-through, which is what I thought Nan was asking about.

Hi Monica!

Sorry about the lingering anger, but it sounds like you're heading in the right direction, so perhaps it will take a bit longer to get that one med out of your system. Hang in there and know we're always here for you!

Hi Kathe!
Thanks Monica. I actually had to cut myself short a few of the exercises because I was too embarrassed to keep going with everybody watching. :scared: But I did most of it. And my arms and shoulders are VERY sore today, I'm assuming from the pushups and tons of punching. But it's fun while doing it! I was sweating so much, my t-shirt under my uniform was completely soaked through, so was my hair. Gross, but it tells me I'm working hard and that's what I need. This should help me lose weight for sure! :thumbsup2 I know 2 workouts a week isn't enough, but it's better than nothing. I'm supposed to be running on the treadmill to keep up my endurance for the cardio parts of class, but haven't yet.

I would quite like to go to Alaska in one sense, but I do crave sunshine and heat. I rather like repeating vacations as long as there is some variations. To be honest I could go on a cruise that never stops at ports!!!

Next year we have the WB TA booked for September, but this is not a definate yet. For the spring we are debating the West Coast or travelling around Europe, but Europe is just too expensive these days.

Alaska cruise is not high on my list either. We know two couples who have done it and said they loved it.....however, neither are talking about going again. :confused3 We start talking about going back on a warm cruise before we even get off the ship. :rolleyes1

Marilyn, west coast spring of 2010?? Glacier National Park is beautiful (you could do this instead of Alaska cruise and walk on a glacier, see lots of game animals) AND we live just south of Glacier. Flathead Lake (the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi) is only about an hour north of us. Sounds to me like you need to include Montana in your west coast tour! :yay:

My dears, there is often confusion over this and there is a difference between arrival and departure.

well Ian thanks for trying to contribute to our conversation, next time read it will ya :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Montana sounds and looks a beautiful place and has some great inhabitants!!!. We might just have to look at that option. :dance3:

Hi. Welcome to the Ship Thieves memories thread. It's nice to see you. Were you on our cruise through the Panama Canal?

;)

Ken!!!! That sounds like you were closing our thread... I thought I read MEMORIAL....

Granted lots of us want on the other cruise too... but we're the ORIGINAL (well, not, but for our cruise...) one and only THIEVES!!!!

I would love to do Alaska.

I'm not so sure about the Panama Canal, it's too far away for me to think about right now, especially as there are 2 cruises in my queue.

I'll think about it when it becomes a possibility. If asked right now, I'd say "no." I'm not sure I'd want to spend money on repeating something. I'd rather do something new. But again, it is too far away for me to have insight into how I will be feeling later.

I know quite a few people who have done Alaskan cruises and that really attracts me.

But, to circle back to my original point, forefront in my mind right now is our trip to WDW in 21 days.

We have time to talk him into it...

Ian...you're going to miss us all you know.. :grouphug:

I know how you're feeling... these pain meds have got me on a tear... I wish you were feeling fit and wonderful... but any improvement is better...:hug:

And I went through a binging stage around the time mom was in the hospital.... nerves I guess...

Deb - good to see you!

Holly - way to go w/ the class...I can't see the video here at work, but :thumbsup2 on finishing (even if you were last).

Hi Kathe!

Pebble is bad today... :headache:

Realized last night that I need to start figuring out what I'm going to pack! I leave 2 weeks from tomorrow & am sooooooooo NOT prepared!

Lots of extra undies... camera.... leave the sombrero home. :upsidedow

Brief update...

The Queen Mum is resting comfortably after having her 1st post op check up. She looks less like a losing prize fighter every hour.

We have decided that in the future it is probably not a good thing to have the two of us on pain killers at once.... last night was a doozy...

I am now off to drink 1/2 a bottle of lime juice and knock myself silly...

I believe that cereal is for supper....

Does it normally take so long for a stone to pass Michelle. It must be so awful and draining being in that amount of pain for so all this time.

What does the lime juice do?

Glad your mom is improving. Does she have stitches that neede to come out?

Yeah... it can take weeks... The first time I had them I had the surgery which did NOTHING seeing as I had passed it the day before and they didn't check...

It was not pleasant and I did a trip to WDW 3 weeks later and felt awful... That was in 2005...

The bigger stones they can do the ultrasound to break it up, but you still have to pass it... :sad2:

The lime juice has citrites in it - acids that will break it down...

But the lime juice also upsets my tummy...

I've had some that went in a day and my longest was 2 months...

Interestingly enough I saw something on the news last week that KIDS are getting them at an alarming rate because they are eating a more fattening diet AND drinking too many sports drinks... (The drinks like gatorade have extra salts, etc in them to replace those you supposedly lose sweating...) The kids are drinking those drinks like they are sodas or juices and more than they should be.

That is not good! I hope the lime juice works seeing as it causes you more trouble.

Oh boy!!! :yay::woohoo::dance3:We would love to have you visit!

I've just been browsing the Great American Road Trip forum and have found topics on travelling from Montana to LA etc. One person is flying to Missoula, going up to Glacier National Park, then back down to Yellowstone, then on down to LA. I didn't look at the map in detail. If we did something like that(we would have 6 weeks over there) I think we could fit a lot in and see some great places. Sounds like you live in a great city. We will have to see if we could fly there.
