I couldn't agree more. For us, it's John who gets sick when he gets on a plane. So it really makes sense for us to do the drive too.

I loved your video of your drive from home to DL. I can't believe you drive through the snow before it's plowed and salted on the main highway. Do they ever plow your roads?

uhhh ummm.... That was plowed ...:rolleyes1

So, while I'm sitting here in the basement, between and waiting until I have to do the next thing on the keyboard, I decided to go through all of my disks of software and files.

I filled up an entire garbage bag with disks. I had disks going back to the early 90's! Plus diskettes! I haven't used diskettes in years!

For any of you who know Macs, I threw out diskettes of OS 7.5, 8 and 9!
Well, see? This process isn't too bad because you're getting the added bonus of de-cluttering! :thumbsup2

All next week we are to get to a low of 28F and up to a high of 60F. Wednesday is going to have a low of 30F and a high of 60F.

No looking back now!! :worship::worship::worship:
Wow, you're lucky! We won't even see 50 until April 11 (looking at the 10-day forcast). But I suspect that will be our turning point. I really was hoping for an April snowstorm, but it just isn't in the forecast. Bummer.

I found a really cute movie on TV tonight. "Yours, Mine & Ours". Never even heard of it before, but I'm really liking it! :thumbsup2

Hi kids....I've spent most of the afternoon....ASLEEP!

Just found an AMC free night at the movies pass while cleaning out my purse, so I'm taking myself for a night out on the town. Dinner at Chicago Gyros and then off to see Escape to Witch Mountain with 'THE ROCK'. :thumbsup2

Today is Peg & Jose's anniversary, btw....lots of :lovestruc going on in this family this weekend.

Have a good time! I'd like to see that movie. :goodvibes

No, he's getting annoying.

Joan has returned???

And he's just about to throw out all the tapes he saved that we used to use the little dots out of to make confetti in high school...

Makes us sound like wimps, huh Deb?

The Lucille Ball/Henry Fonda one??? That's the best. :thumbsup2

Then you need to go and rent the other older version with Eddie Albert... popcorn::

hahahaha.....that's so funny....as compared to what I'm used to, it certainly doesn't look plowed to me. You get a LOT of snow.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Here's a pic of our house from April 1:

We're starting to look good. I noticed our tulips were starting to break through the ground today.

I'd never heard of it, so I didn't know there was a previous version. Nope, I think the dad is Dennis Quaid and I have no idea who anybody else is....except the nanny (but I don't know her name, just that I've seen her before).

I never used to watch much TV or many movies. I've turned over a new page in my life over the past year or so and am enjoying watching lots of stuff now! :goodvibes

Let us know how the movie is! Shannon and I are fans of the originals so we are curious/nervous about this new one.

Popping in to say hello!

Deborah - glad to hear that Keith had a good time!:goodvibes

Nan - I hope Wil enjoyed his racing today :goodvibes

Holly - waiting in the lines isn't too bad, as you are seldom standing still, you just keep creeping forward. We talk, sometimes sing a bit, sometimes the girls did "I spy". And some were really short. Winnie the Pooh was only a 3-5min wait. And I've seen that Dennis Quaid movie, I really liked it. Apparently the original is great too.

Jackie - Please give us a review of Witch Mountain. I loved the original, the sequels were also good, and I'm very curious about the new one. I like that it is not a remake, and instead a different story line. It annoyed me when Disney remade Parent Trap. The Hayley Mills one was great, why did they have to redo it :confused3

Deb - nice to see you posting again. Glad to hear the infection is slowly improving. :cool1:

Thanks for the tips on waiting in line, Shannon. That's just what I needed to know. :thumbsup2 I'm going to bring the neck cooler thingie Michelle made, Tyler used that whenever we got off the ship and it helped a lot, and I'm also going to pick up one of those water spray bottles with a fan attached. He's never tolerated heat well (like me).

OOOOOoooooh! I'm watching the 10:00 news and the weather guy just said the rain tomorrow will turn into snow headed our way "will do a good job of accumulating"! No estimate of how much though, but it sounds good! I have Monday off for our plans that fell through, so maybe we'll get to play in the snow all day! :cool1:

Water spray bottles are nice, but in a line-up they can annoy those around you. Walmart has little handheld fans with foam bladeswith Disney themes that Shaelyn and Kaleigh like. They had a neckstrap. We bought Kaleigh's this year, and I like that she has to hold the button for it to work, as soon as she lets go, it stops. The centre of the fan is flashing lights. And it was fairly cheap. $3 or something close.

Holly... don't forget to run it under cool water or get a cup of ice water and dip it in from time to time... it will keep you cooler...

note to self... go find cool tie thingies...

Hello! We made it back home. Had to leave a bit sooner than I would have liked because V got a bit.....well.... WAY too drunk!:rotfl2: She tries to keep up with Gaylean, and just couldnt do it today. Once we got home it took a while to get her out of the car,and then once inside she laughed uncontrollably for at least 10 minutes,:confused3 then passed out on the couch. No way I was getting her upstairs to bed! We did have a GREAT time and we will post pics tomorrow. We hid a couple of hundred plastic eggs for the kids to find and whoever found the most got a prize, in addition to the candy and prizes inside the eggs. Brooke collected the most so she got the prize of a 5 dollar bill. Then Kim(gays sister) passed out goodie filled baskets to all the kids AND all the ladies too! Towards the end of our stay V kept looking in her basket and( slurring )saying" I got a eesstterr basssket! I got chooocolatte! I luuuuvvvveeee uuuuu Kimmmm!":lmao: Oh ya, before the egg hunt we all ate a bunch of food!

Hi Friends....Good Morning Ian!

I got so far behind this week. I just read for the last two hours to finally get caught up.

Sorry I've been MIA....doctor, drugs, then issues with Ray came up. He fell down in the middle of the night going to the bathroom. Just a little bruising, but he'll be fine. Then he needed new pants. He's been in there for almost two years so I guess it was about time. I did some shopping for him and today I have to drop them off. We have to mark them or something....not sure....got to find out when I get there today. Then they told me that he started coughing while eating meals. He's been doing it for about two weeks now. It's really loud and presents a problem for him as well as others around him. I had to get in touch with his doctor. He's going to have him evaluated by a speech therapist. They will check his swallowing. He had problems swallowing when he first fell down the stairs and then he aspirated. So we have to be very careful. I have to be there for the evaluation when it gets scheduled. Still waiting to hear when that will be.

Been lying down every day too to keep the edema down in the legs. They are better because the infection is finally going away. I'm on my third month of antibiotics so it's about time. I keep soaking them in epsom salt too. It's working. The leaking comes and goes though. I wish I could find a way to get rid of it once and for all.

Today is yet another day of dark, wet and windy outside. It's been like this most of the week. I hope we get some sunshine soon.

Hey, Deb! Sorry you've been struggling so much with health issues. I'm glad you're doing better. I'll be keeping you in my prayers!

Hey Ian...

Cecelia remembered at least ONE of us... (this is from a TR from Mozart... )

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=31165482&postcount=254

At one point during the brunch Cecilia asked us why we requested her as our server. We mentioned that she had been recommended to us based on the suggestion of some people from the Panama Canal repo cruise. When she asked who, I simply stated that he had an unusual beard. She smiled, mentioned a unique earring he had and the fact that he was a vegetarian. Then she said that he was really nice and a lot of fun to wait on.

I got the impression that they really like some of us.
