:worship::worship:sorry Sweetie pie... it got lost in my yelling at Ken about missing out on Hockey...

Ground beef meal I believe is several hamburgers and you can have it with fried onions, cheese, etc... It comes with dinner rolls, onion rings or FF, cole slaw - their meals are quite big... I like their clam ones...

Why would you want dinner rolls with burgers??? I guess thats an option if you chose one of the other meals, right.?

I slept most of the day away on pain killers... I've developed another pebble... hoping it is gone, but won't know until tomorrow... I'm sort of afraid to both go to sleep and pee (not at the same time...:lmao: )

Michelle, hope the pebble is gone by now ?

Bubba, Shannon, Nan, thank you! :goodvibes I tend to sort of take for granted the stuff going on with him at school since it's just a regular occurrence for us. I guess it sort of becomes normal in my mind, but in reality, it isn't normal (I know that, but forget since we deal with it regularly). Thanks for reminding me of the important points I felt in the beginning about this. You all are correct, I just need reminding. It's difficult when you soooo badly want your kid to do normal things with normal kids. :guilty:

Thank you all. :grouphug:

Holly :grouphug: You are such a good mom and Tyler will be okay. You've received some great advice from your friends here

I want to do the margarita tasting in Sept (love them too).:thumbsup2

A margarita bar at DTD? IAN......PUT THIS ON YOUR ASSIGNMENT LIST FOR MAY. :lmao:

Well....a few hours of work, then it's time for LOST! :woohoo: I just read that M. Knight Shyamalan is going to direct the series finale next year.

.....off to the shower......

.

They've had a Margarita bar at DTD for quite some time. I have it on Mouse Manager:

No Ian, not THAT Margarita bar! On Deb Wills site in the restaurant news she reported in January about a new restaurant and bar that is to open this spring featuring Mexican and South American cuisine. There is supposed to be an international wine bar and a TEQUILA BAR featuring more than 50 kinds of tequila and 10 signature frozen margaritas :yay: Sadly, I am kind of doubting now that this will be open in time for our May vacations? But, maybe by Sept :thumbsup2 Bubba, did you say you and Venetia are going to wdw sometime in the next year? You might want to keep an ear open ;)

Trouble that I don't know anything about Canada...

Shannon, Ken and Kathy

Maybe you give me details for what to do in Canada??

Scottishwee35

 Bubba! I was on, I got caught up, a quick post and then off to bed.

I was going to do margarita tasting, but ended up doing the princess lunch with the girls instead. I love to experiment with margaritas. We opened up our CaboWabo Tequila last Friday. I don't like it straight, but did try it with different combinations of fruit juices and 7-up. It was really good with raspberry cranberry juice, a little 7-up, a little lime juice, & a bit of grand marnier.

Tough call; gut instinct says hmmmm, Cabo San Lucas; yuck to Lake Tahoe; and Chicago has theatre.

Way to go Holly! I was wondering how you were doing with the exercising, since you haven't mentioned it in a while. This might be the boost you need.

It really depends on what you want to do. I think Ian's brother is in Ontario, so you'll probably end up staying in Eastern canada, most of which I've never seen. I've been to Toronto, and it was nice. There's the CN tower, The Hockey Hall of Fame (and I don't really like hockey, but still found interesting as they have a lot of old stuff and stuff from different leagues and around the world). One day, I'll get out to see Montreal, its supposed to be a great place to visit. Eventually, I'd also like to get out to our smallest province, Prince Edward Island, and see Anne of GreenGables places.
If you do come out west, we've got the Rockie Mountains with Jasper and Banff National Parks. Both very beautiful, you can see waterfall, mountains, lots of wildlife, glaciers.
In Southern BC, you could go to our provincial capital of Victoria, which is on Vancouver island. Very beautiful, fairly British in style, so maybe not that interesting for you. Vancouver is the biggest city in the province, and has Capilano Suspension bridge, Wildlife park (similar to zoo), Grouse Mountain, Granville island (quaint shopping area, lots of restaurants, has a brewery).
You could come up by us, and spend a day at Barkerville (old gold mining town, now set up for tourists, you can watch a play in the old theatre, shop in the general store, go visit the judge, do some gold panning, see an old waterwheel).
From Victoria you can go whale watching (killer whales/orcas), and can also go whale watching from other areas in BC. In the far eastern provinces, you can also do whale watching, just a different kind of whale, which I can't remember off the top of my head.
Anyway, that's just a brief list of some things to do in Canada. I'm sure Kathe can add more and she's going to Calgary, Banff and Jasper this summer, and I bet she'll have more to say then :goodvibes

I've been to Niagara Falls and Toronto and it's a great trip....I have always wanted to go to Montreal....also to Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island.

All very lovely places to go.....so much to see, so much to do!

Deborah, sounds like Shannon and Ken have already given you some good ideas:thumbsup2 When you decide, of course we'll all try to help in your planning! I am about a 2 hr drive from Toronto, 3 hrs from Niagara Falls.

My parents have a cottage in PEI so we have spent many family vacations there. I love it out east! Shannon, if you do get to go some day, the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Island is a wonderful drive too. When the kids were younger, we used to drive out and spend a few days in a different province first before ending up in PEI. It was a great way to see more of Canada. I also loved Quebec City. I've only driven through Montreal though. Sadly, we never did make it to Newfoundland. My parents still go to their cottage from May until Sept every year.

I was thinking, if it is during the school year again, I might not be able to go if I get this job permanently :scared1: Jon said he would send a postcard :sad1:

Hmmm Jon and I at Rockin' Bar D with the ladies looking after the kids ....

Sounds like a nice change of scenery!:cool1:

Today: look at snow. Shovel snow. Cry about snow. Go on a vacation away from snow....

:sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

:sad2::sad2::sad2:
Sorry for your bad luck :headache: I can appreciate how sick you must be of winter! We have been so very lucky the past few weeks. March was much milder than ususal. It is supposed to snow Saturday morning but then go up to 10 or so :) Seems too good to be true, but maybe, just maybe, spring is really here :flower1: Hope it won't be much longer for you too.

Kathe

CANADA IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO VISIT!!!! There's so much there I haven't seen yet......you really have to choose an area and do some research on it......it's a BIG country!

Thanks Connie!

But we don't have disneyworld :sad2::sad2::sad2:

At some point in the next 14 years, Ken & I will do a road trip in Eastern Canada. We thought about doing it a few years ago, but its so far if we drive the whole way. Its too bad that travelling inside Canada is so expensive.

You're all still chattering?

I'm up WAY past my bedtime on a school night.

Brooke and Jon's niece, Christina at the beach.

I love this pic. I also hate this pic in an envious sort of way.

There is no way I would want to drive the whole way :scared1: It is very sad that it costs more to travel across our own country than to fly to numerous other places in the world. I do hope you are able to make the trip someday though. I hope to make it to BC someday. I'll settle this summer for seeing Alberta though ;)

Well Ian just droppd a total drive-by posting on us all! And then he leaves us hanging, wondering how Mary Poppins was and if Sukie managed to enjoy it. Geez!!!!

I should have been asleep a couple hours ago. My alarm goes off in about 5 1/2 hours. I predict being an hour late for work! :rotfl2: It's so hard to get there on time on the days I'm supposed to be in at 7am because everybody else starts at 8:30, so nobody knows if I'm late. ;) (Well, our office manager does when she sees it written on my time sheet).
