Bubba! I was on, I got caught up, a quick post and then off to bed.
I was going to do margarita tasting, but ended up doing the princess lunch with the girls instead. I love to experiment with margaritas. We opened up our CaboWabo Tequila last Friday. I don't like it straight, but did try it with different combinations of fruit juices and 7-up. It was really good with raspberry cranberry juice, a little 7-up, a little lime juice, & a bit of grand marnier.
Tough call; gut instinct says hmmmm, Cabo San Lucas; yuck to Lake Tahoe; and Chicago has theatre.
Way to go Holly! I was wondering how you were doing with the exercising, since you haven't mentioned it in a while. This might be the boost you need.
It really depends on what you want to do. I think Ian's brother is in Ontario, so you'll probably end up staying in Eastern canada, most of which I've never seen. I've been to Toronto, and it was nice. There's the CN tower, The Hockey Hall of Fame (and I don't really like hockey, but still found interesting as they have a lot of old stuff and stuff from different leagues and around the world). One day, I'll get out to see Montreal, its supposed to be a great place to visit. Eventually, I'd also like to get out to our smallest province, Prince Edward Island, and see Anne of GreenGables places.
If you do come out west, we've got the Rockie Mountains with Jasper and Banff National Parks. Both very beautiful, you can see waterfall, mountains, lots of wildlife, glaciers.
In Southern BC, you could go to our provincial capital of Victoria, which is on Vancouver island. Very beautiful, fairly British in style, so maybe not that interesting for you. Vancouver is the biggest city in the province, and has Capilano Suspension bridge, Wildlife park (similar to zoo), Grouse Mountain, Granville island (quaint shopping area, lots of restaurants, has a brewery).
You could come up by us, and spend a day at Barkerville (old gold mining town, now set up for tourists, you can watch a play in the old theatre, shop in the general store, go visit the judge, do some gold panning, see an old waterwheel).
From Victoria you can go whale watching (killer whales/orcas), and can also go whale watching from other areas in BC. In the far eastern provinces, you can also do whale watching, just a different kind of whale, which I can't remember off the top of my head.
Anyway, that's just a brief list of some things to do in Canada. I'm sure Kathe can add more and she's going to Calgary, Banff and Jasper this summer, and I bet she'll have more to say then
