Other than the "normal" IEPs, not that I know of. We talked (very briefly) about him possibly having Aspergers, but it didn't last too long.

I remember the Aspergers being mentioned. Well, the evaluations the school does before being able to do the IEP meeting would lead to more evaluations if warranted, so I wouldn't worry too much.

So, the weekend it here. My company is closed on Monday for President's Day, which is odd, because other than banks, schools and government offices, who closes? So, I have a 3-day weekend.

I've also made it through my first week on the job. Still trying to get over the adrenaline withdrawal. I'm just not used to not being stressed to the point of cracking.

I asked my boss to come into my cube and stress me out.

So, any big plans this weekend? We have none, other than the usual errands and my work on Sunday morning.

We've declared the 23rd a national holiday... Not sure why... but you can take that one off as well... unless you have diplomatic ribbon cutting duties to attend to...

I am talking about funeral....

I find it is sad and wonder why funeral made people, family, fall out, arguments over Will etc...

I never forget about one funeral was terrible as Grandma Helen.. Long times ago, (my dad's mum funeral), (my dad died first before her). My brother and I went to funeral and it was terrible argument at the funeral.. My late dad had the big family I think 11 altogether... three aunts argument at the funeral... because one of them send the flowers back to the shop which not held at the funeral... My brother and I stand still and we both were very upset after lost our parents not long ago after that funeral... After that we walked away... I cried all the way home...

We never got anything from Grandma Helen as we just back off and carry on...

I visited my Aunt and Uncle out of the blue last year as they are over 80 years old... they told me that the family still fall out... which is a great shame...

I don't know why people fight over times like that either... my cousin went in a cleaned out her mothers house WHILE she was still alive (she had a massive stroke) and the sister's don't talk still...

Do you remember the talk show she had? She was a hoot!

Edited to add: well, her talk show was in 1958....so I'm sure many of you don't remember it! I must have seen it when I was home from school when I was sick.

That is so sad. You would think people would at least wait till after the funeral to fall out. How sad the family is still at war.

Hello everyone. I have been working a lot and I don't have time at night for any of you, sorry I have a new respect for working mothers

The bad news is that the lady I've been subbing for had an aneurysm The good news is that I will be covering for her for awhile or maybe forever depending on the situation. I've never met her personally but she will be in my prayers, especially since she has a son in high school still The teacher asked for me specifically which makes me feel good. The two have been working together for 15 years so she bursts out in tears during class a lot. It is sad. I cry with her and I don't cry much. The kids seem unaffected which is a little sad to me. They all brought me Valentines cards and candy. This is really sweet considering they are 12-14 years old

The other great news is that I loooooove this job. I was sad when I left on Tuesday because I thought I wouldn't see these kids or this teacher again. The teacher is so funny and she looks and acts just like Ellen DeGeneres. The kids are great too. I was expecting the worse and got the best. I was warned that a few of them had emotional problems but everyone has been great so far. We made 345 pb&j sandwiches for the hungry the other day so I got to chat with them like I would my own kids. It was great. I like older kids better.

They called me on Wednesday while I was at another school. They called my cell three times and then called the school office. They scared me. I guess they really wanted me to take this job.

We missed you G!!! And it's nice when a job turns out like that... I temped at a company on a whim and it's the company that I STILL go to work at in Jersey (and I've become very good friends with the family too!!!!)

Ok all caught up. Now it's time to get moving and working on the living room. We might even be able to eat supper at the table tonight ....

Naaah that might be too much of a shock to the system!!

Oh and Shannon, I want to watch "Passchendaele" tonight (probably best after the kids go to bed).

Oh, and another thing ... you're just a emerging Canadian bigwig.
