One thing that was strange. The guy in the TV department brought it out to me on a cart and walked away, I pushed it to the front of the store to pay, then walked right out the door. I would have thought somebody at the front of the store would have checked my receipt when they saw me coming with this giant box. Nobody even noticed me walking out. Makes me wonder if anybody's ever just walked out pushing a TV on a cart like that without paying. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if it really does happen.

Well, can you get a neighbor to help you bring it into the house? If so, maybe the people working at the store can get it in your vehicle for you (if you have a large enough vehicle, of course).

I drive a Yukon XL (same as a Surburban) just don't want to hassel with lifting it and hiding it.....YUCK. I think I will just let him pick....

Well, after 5 days in a row of being good and doing the workout video, I was forced to take a break today because I can't figure out how to hook my my DVD player. I'm used to a TV that had ONE place to plug something in. This TV has a ton of places to plug in stuff. Couldn't be calm and try to figure it out in my excitement of just hurrying to turn the TV on!

So I'll have to just get back on track tomorrow after making cookies with Tyler after school (and hopefully not eating too many)!

It's easy.... just follow the colors on the plugs...

OH MY GOSH, I have so many more channels now! We lost PBS last month when they went digital, but now I have it back because of the new TV! Tyler will be happy to see his kids' shows again! And there's a local weather channel that I never knew existed, and there's something called the CW network and it's got good shows! I'm watching a Sex and the City episode now. I think I'll hold off on getting cable until I get a feel for what I have now.

Great.... we've lost Holly to a TV...

The 50 inch from Walmart I was telling you about yesterday. It's a Sanyo. It's too big for my house, but it will be fine when I re-arrange and move the furniture further back! I LOVE IT!

I am going to be in the delivery room with MaryAnn....when ever the baby comes.

I have never done this (except my own babies).....I think it will be awesome.

Has anyone done this with someone else??

My niece invited me to be in the delivery room when she gave birth 3 years ago next month. It was a profound experience for me, especially since one of my sisters was her mother (she was there) and my other sister delivered the baby. I'll never forget it and am so grateful she included me.

There is NO WAY I can even try to keep up with this thread.

I am still sick, but I think I am on the mend; at least I worked yesterday and today. Although I slept all afternoon after I got home!

Mom is responsible for the haircut and NO I don't have a black eye... (it's an old picture...) I went up to mom and said I couldn't find the picture... she turned around and grabbed it off the frame on her dresser and said "this one..."

OK, the house is torn up because I was trying to clear a space for it, Tyler crammed a bunch of videos on our puny old TV stand to get them off the floor so they wouldn't get stepped on when bringing the TV in, and the worst part, I haven't found a bigger TV stand I like yet, so it's stuck on the old tiny one that held the 19inch TV.

Well, I just saw on the Phoenix news that Prescott had 10" of snow today! I hadn't looked outside since it got dark so I had to get up and see what it looked like outside. The last time I checked there was about an inch, maybe a little more. Here's how it looks now:

The stock closed today at $19.44 per share. You can buy stock through any trading company, and request that the certificate be sent directly to you.

I think the cost through an online broker is about $6 or $7 a trade.

Oopse--I misread you Ian, I thought you said Disney stock was less than a dollar This information is reassuring about the company but makes a casual purchase less likely.

WOW! It's supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow! That's absolutely crazy! Then 2 days later back to cold and snow. Have to remember to order Tyler's snow boots tomorrow.

54 degrees in Indy at 1:00 AM !!! And that is the temperature at the airport so downtown is usually a couple degrees warmer.

AHHHH... I am liking this!

Of course snow and cold ill return but this gives us respite and gets some of the H2O down the river now. We are so flat and much of Indiana used to be marshy so when we have quick melts we get high rivers which really means that it spreads out over the flatland as if reclaiming its marshs.
